"Snatch" is being turned into a TV series?

I have just read the headline on MTV's website about there's going to be a TV show "loosely based" on Guy Ritchie's "Snatch"...WTF!

I'm a massive fan of both "Snatch" and "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" so when I first heard about this I just had to see the trailer for this new TV series because how the hell do you put something as good as "Snatch" into a TV series without it being shit...because I would have thought that you couldn't possibly replicate something as good as this film or I would have thought that it would be very hard to make a TV series out of the movie.

But then again I do think you could probably do something on the untold story of the character Soap from "Lock, Stock" about is being in a kitchen environment the best place for him, especially when he produces all those knives to his group of friends when they want to steal the money from the drug dealers next door so as to cover the loss of the debt that Charlie has when he can't continue in the card game that the porn king controls and he tells him he has to pay up when he loses or he'll make his dad pay by selling him his dad's bar.

So here it is the trailer for this new TV series that Collider.com says will be a 10 episode series:

Although Allison Keene writes on Collider.com that she thinks that:

"...writer and showrunner Alex De Rakoff looks like he has found a sleekness and style all his own..."

It looks more like to me although Alex De Rakoff may say that he was paying homage to Guy Ritchie it does look like he as well as the lead actor Luke Pasqualino is trying a bit too hard to me to make it look like it would be something Guy Ritchie would do, for example Luke Pasqualino puts on a fake cockney accent and even wears a long brown coat just like Jason Statham wore when he played the character Turkish, and there's even stealing diamonds with guys dressed up as Jewish people...even down to the way their's a voice over at the start of the trailer and how all the names of the character's come up on the screen in the trailer seems to me to be a bit too try hard to get people to like it as I assume I'm not the only person who loved this film and I assume Alex De Rakoff wants to get as many people on side to watch the series because this will be on a streaming service so I assume that you will have to pay to either use this service or if you just wanted to watch the series so if there's a high enough audience number then the more money will get generated for everyone involved with this TV series.

And I do realise whilst writing this that this may sound a bit harsh on this new TV series that will be available to stream on CRACKLE on March 16th 2017, but I probably will try and watch this and at least give it a go because of being a fan of the film "Snatch"...but saying this I really don't know how well it'll do because if it doesn't have a squeaking dog then I don't think that I'll like it.

But it does say though in this TV series' synopsis that they're will be:

"... rogue cops, gypsy fighters, international mobsters and local villains descend..."

So it sounds like there is still hope that a Hatchet Harry or a Brick Top kind of character or even some pikeys or an unlicensed boxing match might crop up in this new TV series that also features Rupert Grint, Lucian Laviscount, Dougray Scott, Ed Westwick and Juliet Aubrey.

Other things that audiences of this new TV series will see is according to the official synopsis of this series on Collider.com's website is:

" "Snatch" centres, on a group of  twenty-something, up and coming hustlers who stumble upon a truck of gold bullion and are suddenly thrust into the high-stakes organized crime. The boys must learn to navigate the treacherous waters of London's underworld..."

So reading between the lines it sounds like to me that audiences will see a lot of action, a lot of different characters will come out the woodwork that will obviously come from all levels of London's underworld and that this group of guys will almost accidentally fall into London's underworld from being small time crooks.
