Patrick Wolf

I was just listening to Patrick Wolf's song 'In the City' which is off his new album 'Lupercalia' which I really like and that got me thinking when is his new album coming out...so I went over to HMV.com to find this and just in case like me you have forgotten it's the 20th June this year.

He also has a new single out from this album 'House', I like in the video how the house he's in is falling down and he has lots of exotic animals and birds around him. It gives me an idea for a concept for how my cosmetics firm should present MOR Cosmetics an Australian Cosmetics firm that me and my sisters distribute in the UK.

In case you want have a look at this new video, here it is:

This though is good and I can't wait for the album, I do have to admit though that I thought the album would be out sooner than the actual date that it's out and I was disappointed to see that I have to pre-order the album as I was thinking about going to my local HMV in Bournmouth to get this album along with other albums that I haven't managed to get yet. Diddums!

Promise Me Tomorrow

If you haven't heard of this band then don't worry you can listen to them on YouTube or if like me you have heard their new single 'You Haven't Seen The Best Of Me' and you've fallen in love with their songs then you can download for free their new single or like me their new mini album 'This Picture, A Memory' from:

http://www.bandcamp.com/

I love this album eventhough I have had their song 'You Haven't Seen The Best Of Me' stuck in my head since the first time that I heard them. I have to say that they sound like 'Kids In Glass Houses' which is another band that I found (I say found because I saw their music video for my favourite song of theirs 'Easy Tiger' via MTV2 music channel when I was ill). I know this is probably a bit offensive but I think it's a little bit funny, but to me the lead singer of 'Promise Me Tomorrow' looks like Jay from the Inbetweeners, if you don't think so have a look at these pictures:

Well...he does in the video for the new single.

Paramore...Monster

Just heard via Hayley Williamas (Paramore singer for those who aren't fans of the band...if your not why ever not they're awesome!) that they have out on their website a 30 seconds clip of their new song 'Monster' which will be a fully locked, loaded and complete version of the song out on June 7th. But it will also be on the soundtrack to the new Transformers film. If you want to go out and buy the soundtrack to this film so as to hear what the other songs will be on it then this will be out on June 14th on Warner Bros. records.

I have had a little listen already and I think it's Paramore at their 'Riot' best....if you want to listen and make your own opinion on this then here is the clip of it. I can't wait to hear the rest of the single as I really like it already.

Take That...Love Love

I have to say that this new song that Take That have done for the new 'X Men:First Class' movie is in my opinion terrible and the movie makers should do in my opinion the same thing as the movie makers of 'Robin Hood:Prince of Thieves' did...as they gave Bryan Adams the task of writing a song for the movie but they hated it so much they put it on the end credits of the film.

I have seen this trailer out officially now and Take That are nowhere to be seen. And I have been listening out on my local radio station which played this song once when they reported this would feature in this film but it's nowhere to be seen...it has been complete silence from this song.

I think that this song doesn't really match up to the action packed film that is X Men if you wanted action you should have had Fenech-Soler Battlefields...now that always makes me think of an action film whenever I listen to the album

Hobbit news!!!!!!!!!

Stephan Fry is now confirmed to star along the ever bursting at the seems cast list. Peter Jackson has confirmed that Fry will play 'The Master Of  Lake Town (or Esgaroth).

In Tolkiens' book Esgaroth is a wooden construction that serves as a trading post between men and elves, but it is also a place where Bilbo and the dwarves. This also has a history with Smaug the dragon and the elected leader of Esgaroth isn't exactly quick to welcome Bilbo and the dwarves arrive.

Also adding to the ever growing list of cast members is Ryan Gage who has been in the stage show of Hamlet as Osric, and Conan Stevens.

Gage will play the Masters 'dodgy civil servant', and Conan who has been previously a stunt actor will play an Orc called 'Azgog'. At the moment there has been a planned production break for all the cast and crew of this film so as to get in editing and knowing Peter Jackson films also some awesome visual effects (going on the other amazing Lord Of The Rings films). But also there has been another block of shooting for this film that has had to be scheduled in so as to get more scenes worked into this production...so by the sounds of things Peter Jackson isn't holding back on this particular film.

Also, this might come as a little bit of a gossip sturing but if what Martin Freeman has said backstage at the BAFTA TV Awards is anything to go on then Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock Holms and Dr. Frankenstein in Danny Boyle's stage show) has been cast but even though this has come out the exact details of his character have beern kept very secretive.

Also from the sounds of things this film that you can expect to be out in 2012 will be broken up into two will also feature Ian Holm (which I had in a previous post mentioned, but he'll only be seen in CG as the old Bilbo and Martin will be the Bilbo the young one).

Tintin trailer finally out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another story that I'm having to catch up with since I've been away from my movie sniffing news blog is the new TINTIN movie has finally released the trailer after I spent weeks trying to find one for all to see but there was not even a hint of one to look at, so here it finally is:

This film stars Jamie Bell as TinTin who along with his trusty sidekick Snowy finds themselves having to look for sunken treasure. Captain Haddock (Andy Serkis) and Detectives Thompson and Thompson (Simon Pegg and Nick Frost) all go along with TinTin for this ride. However this treasure has been said to have belonged to Daniel Craig's 17th Century Pirate Red Rackham, but clues in old model ships soon surface that may hold the answers to where this treasure is.

Steven Moffat who writes for Doctor Who has written this script along with Joe Cornish and Edger Wright who all Shaun Of The Dead fans will recognise. Peter Jackson has produced this film along with Steven Spielberg have all been on board for this film which sounds like it will be one of the best TinTin films anyone has ever seen.

The Adventures of TinTin:The Secret of The Unicorn will be out on our shores on October 26th.

Little Mermaid rework

Sony are planning to revamp Hans Christian Andersons' story 'The Little Mermaid', however the writer/director of 'Country Strong' Shana Feste who has been chosen to take up the duties of adapting this story for the cinema screen, she hasn't gone strictly back to the Anderson story but has taken a more darker edge to the story for the cinema screen as apparently Shana has drawn on Carolyn Turgeon's book 'Mermaid:A Twist on the Classic Tale'.

The story behind this film will be that a princess whose kingdom is being slowly destroyed by a mortal force tries to marry the prince of the enemy kingdom in a dangerous attempt to make peace, but she then discovers a beautiful mermaid has fallen for him and she has given up everything in order to be with him.

This isn't the only revamping of a traditional fairytale that Shana has worked on. In the past she has done 'Godmother: The Secret Cinderella Story' that she wrote.

Transporter to become a TV Series WHAT!

It was rumoured that this film series was going to made into a TV series and now this rumour has become reality...but there will be no Jason Statham as Frank and there will be a new storyline to this.

To me Transporter isn't the Transporter without Jason Statham and now Frank is CIA and has a handler who will be played by the former model Andrea Osvart who will play Carla. Frank will now be played by Chris Vance who made his acting debut in Peak Practice.

Deadline Hollywood has more info on this, as this new Cinemax series will feature 12 episodes where Vance is the lead Frank who works in a seedy underworld of criminals as well as desperate players, as was in the film Frank still is counted on to do 'jobs with no questions asked'. Carla is his eyes and ears on the outside as well as the person who sends him on these jobs, but her character is said to be 'an crafty former CIA operative', but also she constantly plays with how his 'unrequited' interest in her.

TYPICAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The shooting for this series will take place over the summer, so watch this space for when it will be official out.

Bat News Just In!

I know it's been a while since I last bought you movie fans any news but I make my apologies on that front as I have been terribly suffering with severely burnt hands.

Anyhew...I have very exciting Batman:The Dark Knight Rises news...on the 20th May Empire Magazine had the very good fortune of releasing the news that there is now an official website up for the film that may just have chanting on it but very clever Bat fans have already managed to decifer these into audible words, these words being:

"The Fire Rises"

If any of you guys want to visit this website here is the link:

http://www.thedarkknightrises.com/

This has resulted in Twitter fans mentioning this over and over again giving them a preview of Tom Hardy as Baine...as Tropic Thunder might say he looks 'Tighter than a Julien Salad'.

However, I have just seen on Variety Magazine online that there is further additions to the ever growing cast. This time though Matthew Modine, Tom Conti and Joey King will be joining.

  • Matthew Modine you'll recognise from Transporter 2 as he played the President who falls ill from a 24 hr virus
  • Tom Conti was most memorably (for me anyway) as Emily's drunk father in Friends.
  • Joey King who is in Ramona and Beezus (another upcoming film).
Variety has said that despite the early on rumours that 'The Joker' would definatly not be in this new Batman film Modine will play a 'sort of Joker character'. This new character he will play is 'Nixon'. The other roles that these new cast members will play is already kept very much under lock and key by Christopher Nolan, but I have to say that I like this air of mystery it is very Batman like.

But the cast that is already confirmed are: Tom Hardy, Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Joseph Gordan-Levitt, Gary Oldman, Marion Coutillard, Josh Pence and Nestor Carbonelli.

I can hardly contain how excited I am about how this film will be out on July 20th next year. The film will also see scenes from Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, New York, Scotland (Your eyes are not decieving you it is Scotland), England and India.

I'm mad for Mads Langer...is that too corny?

Just got back from a long weekend with the sisters in Lake Como, Italy. I couldn't believe how amazin' this place was, but I also really a bit disappointed as I know that Matt Bellamy lives and I was hoping that when I got there that I could have a picture of it, but I wasn't sure which side of the lake his house was so unfortunatly no picture. AW!

I wasn't too disappointed though as I have to admit I did gorge myself on Italy's delicious icecreams. I am not kidding you, there is nothing like the Italians icecreams as it's like nothing you have ever taSted before. As Ron Burgundy would say: '...It's Glorious'

I stupidly left my ipod at home throughout this holiday so I had to be contented with having the last few tracks that I had listened to in the last few days leading up to the holiday. But I was made to feel very happily suprised when I first got to Lake Como 'Hurts-Sunday' was playing on the radio of the taxi I was in. Then the next night when I was having dinner I heard my favourite artist at the moment 'Mads Langer-Microscope'. Then after I was having dinner in Menaggio the other side of the Lake I heard Mads again. I just thought it was a coincidence that I'd heard him but I've just been on his Facebook page and he was in Italy doing PR interviews for his album 'Behold'....I'm over the moon to see that Amazon.com has got this album and as I love his songs I think I'll have to put in an order pretty soon.

CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Matt Damon...directing now?

After Ben Affleck has been doing his bit of directing it only folllows that Matt Damon should have a turn.
According to Deadline, Matt Damon is keen to jump on board of the newly purchased script 'Father Daughter Time: A Tale of Robbery and Eskimo Kisses'.

This is a film about a father who goes on the run from the law with his daughter who so happens to be his accomplice on a crime spree that goes across 3 US states.

Matthew Aldrich's script has been at the centre of a huge script auction that has involved some big named studios such as: Paramount, Warner Bros.

However, Walter Parkes the head of Relativity Media, Matt Damon and his producer partner Chris Moore. Relativity Media's HQ at Pearl Street raised the money which was used to get this script via a private investor.

But it's now seen that Warner Bros. are at the moment trying ot lock in a deal to aquire the rights to this script as well as getting Matt Damon to be the lead and possibly also the director. But Damon has got a first look deal with Warner Bros. as well as his producer partner and Ben Afleck.

Aside from this, Matt Damon is set to star with Sharlto Copley, Wagner Moura and Jodie Foster in Neil Blomkamp's new sci-fi movie Elysium. These details for thefiklm have been kept literally been kept under lock and key by the director, but what is known is that it is a story in the future on a distant planet. Matt Damon will play an ex-con and Moura will play the villian, a man who is descibed as a man with a crazed sense of humour. Oh, and the shoot for this movie will hopefully be kicking off in Vancouver in July for hopefully a March 2013 release.

Michael Fassbender

Michael Fassbender will star in Ridley Scotts' new alien sci-fi film 'Prometheus'which according to Empire Magazine online that a couple of weeks ago they were sent an anonymous e-mail that Guy Pearce was starring in this but not only this, but a couple of posts ago I told you about how Danny Boyle was going to make a film about an art heist that goes wrong and then when the olympics is over he will go back to it and edit it so that the film can be set for a March 2013 release.

This film 'Trance' will start shooting apparently in September and then it will be put on a shelf to sit and collect dust. The next film that Michael Fassbender will be in will be a Steven Soderburgh action thriller 'Haywire'

Catherine Hardwicke

Catherine Hardwicke has tried her hand at Gothic teenage Vampire and Werewolf never die love story in 'Twilight', then a fairytale 'Red Riding Hood' and now she is going to turn Martha O'Connor's 2006 novel 'Bitch Posse' into a novel.

This has been adapted by actress/ screenwriter Tristine Skyler. The story of 'The Bitch Posse' is about 3 friends Cherry, Amy and Rennie. All three of these come from difficult homes and they bond over this and share their problems, but rather than make a support group they turn these frustrations on their classmates, causing chaos until somwething breaks their friendship, and the ramifications of this chaos felt in thier adult lives with one of the fiends ending up in a mental facility, another trapped in as loveless marriage and another becomes a writer who wants to sleep around.

This film sounds like it's a welcome relief from Twilight or Red Riding Hood but I have just read that one of her other projects after this is either a film adaption of a computer game 'Dot War' or another adaption of 'The Maze Runner'.

As yet there are no details on when this is out so keep your eyes peeled for further news.

Men In Black III

There are no clips of this as of yet on Empire Magazine Online but what I can tell you about this is that@

Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith will return but with:

David Koepp director ('Angels and Demons'), Jemaine Clement (one half of 'Flight Of The ConCordes' comedy), and Josh Brolin ('No Country For Old Men').

The Release date for this is suppose to be 25th of May 2012. The screenwriter for this is going to be Barry Sonnenfield.

Django Unchained

The Spagetti Western that Quentin Tarentino will try his hand at next wants Will Smith to star in this as Django who is a freed slave who heads out to reunite with his wife eho is still in servitude and he will be accompanied by a German bounty hunter who trains him up to take on an evil plantation owner.

But there has been no official offer put on the table as yet for Will to play this role but while this is being confirmed or changed there are a whole host of studios that Tarrantino is talking with to handle who will distribute the film outside the US, and the studio who got in these talks first is 'Universal' as they distributed 'Inglorious Bastards'.

However, Samuel L Jackson will also star as another slave that is manipulative who works for the main villian Calvin Candi. But this has to be confirmed as Marvel have him locked in a contract to star in 8 films of their's.
Sorry guys if you have been able to read anything new but I have just found the time to sit down and catch you up on things:

1st I have just downloaded 'Bedtime Stories' the album of '3rd Place Victory'. I also have to let you guys about 'Promise Me Tomorrow', this band is great not only because their a new and exciting band but if you like 'Kids In Glass Houses' then you'll like the sound of this band, but also if you like rock music but don't like hard core shouting music like 'Metallica' then listen to 'Intraverse'.

2nd I heard a few months back that Kathyrn Bigalow and her 'Hurt Locker' partner in crime are scheduling in a film that follows the actual Black Ops team that was sent in to find Osama and then eventually killed him. This film was scheduled to happen anyway but now that Osama the script is going to be rewritten to show this event.

Also Joel Edgerton who was in Kinky Boots is the first actor to sign up to star in this, and so he can do this he has turned down being in 'Snow White and the Huntsman' with the guy who starred in Thor being in it but it has been said by LA Times that he'll not be Snow White's primary love interest, (which for me is stupid and a little getting me angry as it feels like cinema have just seen it as okay to rewrite a well known and much loved fairytale). He will play one of the black ops Navy Seal along with an ensemble of other actors that have yet to be cast.

Bigalow was reported by LA Times as saying that she at first wanted to hold off on doing anything further on this film as she wanted to see how the Arabic world would recieve the news that this was being made into a film, as well as not knowing where the shoot locations would be or if these locations would be secure. But now these locations are being scouted and it is thought that the shooting will start this summer.

Friday 6 May 2011

I heard a couple of months back on twitter courtesy of Jared Followill that my favourite band of all time 'Kings of Leon' were doing a Documentary film that was going to come out and by his opinion this is the best film he has ever seen, and I know it sounds like he's only saying this as it's a film about his and his brothers and his cousins band but I saw just some of the trailer for this this morning on Youtube and I can't wait to see it when it does come out.

Here is the trailer for it that I have found on Youtube. I am so excited to hear this news you can't believe it, and I hope you are as this isn't the onlly band that are bringing out a film about themselves.

The other bands that I have heard that are bringing out movies of themselves is also another brilliant band, 'The Prodigy' are releasing their Milton Keynes 'World's On Fire' tour on DVD as well as an album

This looks really awesome and they look really good live. This was going to screened for one night only in April but I hear on Youtube that this will be put to DVD and BlueRay for people who didn't get a chance to see this in cinemas near them. Also Foo Fighters 'Back and Forth' was their first film that apparently was out in April. But I think that there might be a DVD in there somewhere as anyone who saw it would probably want to keep it if it were on DVD as it must be like 'golddust' to have anything on DVD from this awesome band. I know that when I got a DVD of 'King's Of Leon' on tour and now I can watch it anytime I want to or I tend to watch it whenever I feel down.

Intraverse band from Tumbridge wells

I have just been brought to my attention, I listened instantly to their songs on Youtube and I had to say they are different to what I've heard before, but I liked it and I hope you do too

Here is just one of their songs. Have a listen and see what you think:

I really liked the guitar and bass of the song but I also thought that the vocalist has a good voice and I thought his hair looks a bit crazy with it being two different colours but it still looks cool to me.

Review of Fast 5

I've just seen this film tonight with my two sisters and I loved it, but I have to say I was a bit disappointed about there only being a little snippet at the end of the film with two Lamborghini's in it. The rest of the film had cars you'd see everyday on the other side of the road when you were driving. But the film was a bit 'Hustle' when they were planning the whole heist in Brazil.

i.e there were:

  • Renault's
  • Porsche Carrera
  • Mustang's
  • Lexus
Also there were some parts of the film that I was reminded of 'Tropic Thunder' jokes. I did on occasion lean over to my sister and joke about Tropic Thunder. I mean sometimes I have to say that some of the lines in the script walked into these scenarios where it was going to be joked about, such as, I'm sorry if this spoils it for anyone who is thinking of going to see this film but this review is just what I thik of the film and you can make your own reviews and decisions about how good the film is.

  • There is a scene between Dom Torreto and John O'connor where they talk about being the two proccision drivers which O'Connor 'You know we got that covered', this scene I thought could be made more cheesy by O'Connor and Toretto clashing their knuckles together.
However, I thought this film was good to watch and eventhough it was an exuse to blow alot of things up, I did think that the film was exactly what today's audiences need.

Bruce Willis in 'Fire With Fire'

This film is about a fireman who has to enter the witness protection programme so as to testify against a violent criminal.

However, the criminal tracks him down and threatens the fireman and the love of his life, annd this leads to the fireman taking matters into his own hands so as to save his damsel in distress, big Aw!

The three actors that they have already lined up for this movie is 50 Cent, Bruce Willis (who you know can bring the house down in these kind of action packed films), and Josh Duhamel.

David Barret will be directing this one and the script will be done by Tom Connor and the shooting for this will kick off next month, and to follow the general consecious the distribution rights will be sold at Cannes next week.

William Defoe in 4:44 Last Day On Earth

Willem Defoe will star in Abel Ferrara's new prew-apocolyptic film '4:44 Last Day On Earth'.

This sounds quite morbid to me as the film sees a couple including Defoe contemplating the end of everything including their friends, so knowing the earth will end at exactly 4:44 on the next day they decide to stay up in their apartment as their last night on earth.

Other people in the group are less realistic and more praying for a miracle so as to get them through this event unharmed. But mainly the film shows what happens to these individuals in the group.

This film will be touted around Cannes Film Festival starting next week.

More Rock Of All Ages

The last piece of the casting puzzle has been made, as Malin Akerman has been confirmed to play and sing in the role of Constance. Her character intends to write an expose on wild boy Stacee Jaxx (Cruise's character), but as you will enevitably think she falls for Jaxx's charms and falls into bed with him.

Buut this is just a small part of the story of this musical movie adaption, as its really about the love story between Hough and Boneta. Hough is a naive small town girl and Boneta is the wannabe rocker who try to make it through the world of LA rock clubs.

Catherine-Zeta-Jones's character wants Russel Brand's and Alec Baldwin's club to be shut down as she tries to gentrify the Sunset Strip.

This as we know will start shooting this month in Miami.

Danny Boyle news

Although Danny Boyle is going to be deciding what we the British are going to do for the opening of next years Olympic games, he has a plan to do a movie.

This movie will be based on an art heist gone wrong. Here he'll work with Christian Coulson who produced his other major successful films '127 Hours' and 'Slumdog Millionnaire'. But as Danny is so busy the script writer hasn't even been found or is even known.

And while he has already started up talks with Fox Searchlight to fund this as well as telliing them about his plans to have a Brtish cast as well as his intentions to have a UK shoot. The work on this movie will be split as of his other commitments. Boyle will maybe start productions on the movie in September and it will be stored until he can go back after the olympics are over and then in August 2012 he'll go back to it and start editing it, hoping for an early 2013 release.

Hugh Jackman in Fantastic Voyage

Shaun Levy wants Hugh Jackman to star in 20th Centuary Fox's adaption of 'Fantastic Voyage' which will be produced by the man of the moment James Cameron. This will then (the film that is) will be shot in 3D from a script that will be written by Shane Salerno and Laeta Kalogridis.

I've read the story for the original and it sounds like a film that could go bust like Wolverine which Jackman is still trying to get off the ground but that may not be going well as the director 'Darren Aronosky' has dropped out, and the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan where the shoot locations for the film is.

Anyhew, the story is; a scientists that is miniturised and injected with something so as to save his life, but this will apparently feature a dramatic love story.

Thinking of how Hugh Jackman dropped out of 'Snow White and the Huntsman', it has been rumoured that Chris Hemsworth who was in Thor will be cast to play the Huntsman in this film adaption of the story. A lot of rumours have been flying round like the house of flying daggers about this film. But here is what has been confirmed:

In the film the Huntsman is ordered by the evil queen (Charliz Theron) to kill Snow White (Kristen Stewart) because she is jelous of Snow's beaty. However, the Huntsman decides to save the fair maiden's life and mentor her into not depending on anyone so that she can live on her own even when she meets prince charming.

This choice whether it be confirmed or denied takes the story way from the original. Also apparently, Tom Hardy's co-star on 'Warrior' Joe Edgerton is also up for the role, but this shoot of Joe Roth's version of this story into film will have to get off the ground as Tarsem Singh's film of this very story is already gearing up for production.

I've already posted about how Clive Owen is going to be in 'Intruders', and to my delight I've just found a Teaser trailer about this film. Another film that he will be in is 'Cities'. This film is going to be a financial thriller.

The story of it is: as the DOW-Jones index reaches it's all time high, and New York hedge fund manager grabs for greater quantities of money, power and sex. But at the same time as this a young English couple struggle to get their first house deposit together. And in Mummbai -just one of the locations for the film-, a policeman who will be played by Anil Kapoor comes up against corruption among property developers and his own colleagues.

Roger Donaldson who directed who directed the more than dodgy 'Bank Job' in 2008 will direct this film and it will be produced by Matthew Metcalfe, Chris Curling and Julie Christie will be producing. This film will be starting shooting in October. Also, not only is Mumbai going to be one of the locations for the film but London and New York will also be locations.

Kirsten Dunst in Melancholia

This film is about the end of the wold and I have to say that when Empire Magazine brought the trailer to my attention a couple of months ago I have to say I thought that it was an arty indie film, but the trailer left me with more questions about what the film is going to be like so I think this calls for a trip to the cinema when this is released on July 1st.

This film also stars: Charlotte Gainsbourg, Kiefer Sutherland, Alexander Skarsgard, Stellan Skarsgard, Charlotte Ramploing and Jon Hurt.

However, I hear today that Kirsten Dunst is now going to be in a new wedding themed comedy that will be produced by Will Ferrall and Adam McKay via their Gary Sanchez production company. Not only will Kirsten star in this indie film but Lizzy Caplan, Adam Scott and Casey Willson. Leslye Headland wrote this script but you wouldn't see or recorgnise her name as she is normally associated with stage plays. This film is only in its getting together stage, as they are still looking for actresses to play the third friend in the story.

The story behind the film goes as follows: Three best friends are asked by a women they used to call 'PigFace' behind her back- to be her bridesmaids at her wedding, but it turns out that the women has her own reasons for inviting them. Kirsten's part will be one of these friends who can either be your best friend or be your worst enemy. Caplan's character is also one of the other friends who is described as 'a sex godess with the brain of a Larry David type'.

Caplan will share some screen time with Adam Scott who will play her high school crush. Ferrell and McKay are at the moment trying to get some money so as to fund this film. This has already got a working title already that will likely to change. At the moment it is called 'Bachelorette'. But no release date as yet.

Anonymous:the film about was it Shakespeare who wrote his plays?

I've heard a bit about this film at the end of last year. However, Roland Emmerich's 'Anonymous' which will be released on 30th September goes on the trail of a conspiracy theory:

What if William Shakespeare wasn't the one who wrote his plays?

The leading man for this film is Rhys Ifans who plays Edward De Vere (The Earl Of Oxford) who for this film at least is preposed as the 1920's study of William Shakespeare.

Starring alongside Ifans will be: Vanessa Redgrave, Joely Richardson, David Thewlis (in Harry Potter as the werewolf who was friends with Harrty's parents), Xavier Samuel (he played Riley in the last Twilight film), Sabastian Arnesto (he played Edmund Sparkler in Little Dorrit), Rafe Spall (you'll recognise his name already from either 'Shaun Of The Dead' or 'Desperate Romantics') , Edward Hogg ( you'll recognise him from 'The Mighty Boosh'), Jamie Campbell Bower (he was in 'Sweeny Todd: Demon Barber of Fleet Street' as the guy who fell in love with Sweeney's/ Brnjamin Barker's daughter) and Derek Jacobi (this name you'll recognise but you might have seen him in 'Underword II').

See what you think of it, let me know what you think.

Rachel Weisz news...

It's not yet been confirmed but Sam Raimi who will be directing Disney's film that will tell the story of what happed in OZ before the whole Dorothy story came about.

This story see James Franco play a shy salesman who ends up going to Oz when his baloon gets caught up in a tornado. Once in Oz the man who claims that he's magical finds himself in real trouble when he meets the witches who live their-Theadora and Evanora-. Theadora will be played by Mila Kunis and Evanora will maybe played by Rachel Weisz. Here we see that despite Theadora trying to do the right thing but when her romantic intentions towards Franco are spurned she starts to go down the path towards the dark side, but this only too well encouraged by her sister.

As I mentioned before this though hasn't been confirmed or denied. This though might be a stretch as Weisz is set to star in the new James Bond 23 film that has been pushed back to start shooting later this month.

David Lindsay-Abaire who wrote 'Rabbit Hole' (with Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart in it) has drafted up the first look script to this movie that's going to start shooting in July.

Not only will Rachel Weisz star in this new James Bond but the other films you'll be able to see her in this year are: 'The Deep Blue Sea' (this is a romantic drama) and 'Page Eight' (this is a spy thriller)

Ridley Scott and Kevin McDonald: Life In A Day

Kevin McDonald and executive producer Ridley Scott edited together a unique filmaking experiment as of last year on July 24th people around the world picked up cameras and recorded their days. 80,000 clips were uploaded onto YouTube which is a WOW moment in itself, but the main aim of this project was to see the similarities and differences of people across the world.

The poster for this film shows just a few of the people who's footage made the cut in the editing proccess for this film. This must have been a mamoth editing job especially when it was McDonald who was also directing 'The Eagle' at the same time as he was doing this film.

This will be in cinemas on June 17th.

Piranha 3DD Sequal

Yes, your ears aren't burning there will be a sequal to the film that saw these fish terrorise 'Spring Break' for many teenagers.

But this time they will be terrorising people at a new summer water park called 'The Big Wet Water Park' by infesting it's pools and other parts of the park through it's water pipes and plumbing.

Apparently Gary Busey is 'going to don his speedos'  according to Empire Magazine. Jon Gulagur will direct, with Danielle Panabaker, Matt Bush, Chris Zylka, David Koechner, Megan Tandy and Adrian Martinnez making up the rest of the cast.

Tina Bowden who you'll recognise from '30 Rock' will also feature in this film. The film will be coming to cinema screens on November 25th.

Stephanie Meyer is at it again...with the Host

Now that her 'Twilight Saga' of books have been made into films that have been highly successful for her as well as highly addictive for everybody of all ages, the world of cinema want to make her other book 'The Host' a film too.

I have to say that I read this book and for me it was very very slow in it's pace and nothing really happened action wise unlilke in the Twilight films where there was some promise of action. But I read this on Empire Magazine's website this mornig and I have to say I was in some amount of shock as I thought straight away that production companies are only knocking this out onto cinema screens following the success that Stephanie Meyer has had with Twilight and the massive amount of press that has come about with her new film 'Red Riding Hood'.

Anyhew, I find myself rambling. Saoirse Ronan is lined up to be the lead roles. I say roles because in the book the story is that Souls have attacked Earth and people are being used as 'Host's' for these Souls so as for them to survive. These Souls have been described as small headed things with long tentacles that wrap themselves down the spine's of the Host and takes them over, but as well as this they wipe out the memories of the host. But this is when things go ascew... the other lead role that she will be playing is Wanderer who takes over Melanie Stryder's body.

Melanie fights though and Wanderer starts to feel things that Melanie feels and starts having flashbacks of Melanie's memories before she was cornered and captured by people who were getting the 'Hosts'. Then this leads to a long drive to Chicago.

There has been no mention of who is going to direct or produce this but according to Deadline this film has been trying to get itself off the ground for some time. There was says Deadline the director of 'Gattica' Andrew Niccol s' name thrown in the mix to adapt the script as well as direct it but he dropped out, so the director of the 'Nanny McPhee' name was thrown in but she also dropped out. However, Niccol's name may be back in the mix as his project 'Now' that he dumped this for as this sci-fi adventure is nearly finished.

Also, the producers Nick Wechsler, Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz who did 'The Road' are planning to sell the distribution rights of this film at Cannes so as to give the film some publicity.

As yet there is no news on when this will start shooting or when it will be released. So this is again on the downlow, on the qt and very hush hush...

Malcolm in the Middle's Dad in new musical adaption

Bryan Cranston, better known for playing the dad of 'Malcolm in the Middle' Frankie Muniz, or in 'Breaking Bad', has been cast in the new adaption of the musical adaption to film 'Rock Of All Ages' with Catherine-Zeta-Jones and Russell Brand.

In the film the actors such as Paul Giamatti, Tom Cruise, Mary J Blije, Julianne Hough, Diego Bonita and Catherine-Zeta will be belting out a variety of songs from the 80's.
 on the
According to Variety Magazine the producers at New Line Cinema are in talks with Bryan Cranston to get him to be in this adaption of the musical. Adam Shankman and Justin Theroux (from Tropic Thunder glory) will script this and Weaver, Jennifer Gibgot and Garret Grant will produce it.

It will begin shooting in Miami on May 19th so the film can be released on June 1st 2012. So untill then all is on the down low, on the qt and very hush hush...

Young the Giant

I saw this band last night on Later... with Jools and I loved the song that they played it sounded like their album would be very good to play if you were on a road trip to anywhere.

This song 'Apartment' is just one of their songs of their self named album.

See if you like it. I think it's worth at least one listen then you can make up your mind about them but I really think their good and they sound like to me that you can go sit on a beach and listen to them and just chill out and relax to them.

The Remainers Album Formal Fridays

I know I may have already posted about this band but I hadn't heard their songs 'House' and 'I Got a Chance' for a while and I thought that I'd have a listen to these songs again as I was updated on my facebook home page that 'House' had reached the top 5 on the World Famous KROQ Locals Only show.

I thought that as I like these songs so much that I would get a copy of it from HMV which is always my one stop shop for music and film. But when I was listening to their tracks that they had uploaded to their website I was very disappointed to hear that 'Formal Fridays' isn't even out till September 28th 2012.... I can't wait that long! I have it already in my head and I know that the only way to get the songs out is to listen to the album.

I suppose though that I'll have to get in the very long queue and wait with bated breath for when this album does arrive.

Promise me Tomorrow

Great new band from Kent just heard and are now following on twitter. If anyone is looking for fresh new sound or likes Kids in Glass Houses like me then listen to these boys....They are really really awesome!

Here is their new song, have a listen.

This song is really really good. There are no words to describe how good I think this song is and I was reading some of the comments that other people had made on youtube about this band and I thought they were joking when they were saying that they hadn't been signed by anybody, that to me sounds crackers. Why would nobody have signed them yet? It just sounds absurd to me as I would happily listen to this song and their album over and over again just so I could hear them as their songs are great.

Robert Zemeckis

Hooraj Zemeckis and Spielberg are going to teap again like they did in Back to the Future and make another time travelling film Replay.

This film will retell the story that Tim Grimwood sold the rights to in the late 1980's. The story is that a 40 something radio journalist who is dying of a heart attack in 1988, but he wakes up in 1963 in his 18-year-old body with memories of his future life, but as he travels through his existance he relises that he isn't meant to change his own death but he's suppose to save his daughter.

This sounds like it may be a winner. The frst draft of this script was given to Ben Affleck before he decided to shoot his upcoming Argo film. But this film is still slowly coming into production with Jason Similovic the writer of Lucky Number Sleven.

Guess who's back with a brand new rap!

I have just seen on Empire Magazine online is the good news that Nestor Carbonelli who played the Mayor of Gotham in the last Christopher Nolan creation is in talks to reappear in the new Batman film.

Other actors that are coming back to the Batman filmsa are:

Gary Oldman who is returning as Comissioner Gordon
Morgan Freeman who will return as Lucious Fox
Michael Caine will return as Alfred

And not forgetting the main man himself....Christian Bale will return as Bruce Wayne/Batman

But the new kids on the block as we already know are:

Tom Hardy as Baine and Anne Hathaway as Catwomen. The other people who will be appearing in this last Nolan creation is:

Joesph Gordan-Levitt
Marion Cotillard
Juno Temple- she has been in 'Year One' and 'The Other Bowleyne girl'
Josh Pence- he has been in 'The Social Network', don't quote me on this but apparently he has been cast to play the young Ras Al Ghool
Daniel Sunjata- he has been in 'Grey's Anatomy' and 'Rescue Me'

As I have already heard this has been designated to start filming in Pittsburg.

One Day Official trailer

This is the official trailer for the film 'One Day'. This stars Jim Sturgess and Anne Hathaway which is out August 26th.

This film is based on the novel 'One Day' written by David Nicolls. This film shows the lives of Dexter Mayhew (Sturgess) and Emma Morely (Hathaway). Both meet as students in 1998 in Edingborough, and as you'd expect there is instant chemistry between them but this never goes further than a cuddle. Then we see how their lives have changed from the anniversary of them first meeting to what happened afterwards. This being that Emma becomes a teacher but can't find any real satisfaction or happiness in her life. Things are going better for Dexter as he rapidly becomes a small town TV celebrity, but his world implodes in a bad marriage and in a divourced fatherhood.

Along this way both of them lean on each other.

The New Editions to the Twilight Cast

Just seen on the US version of the MTV website the cast members who will be joing the Twilight Breaking Dawn film set alongside the regular cast who as you can already imagine will be reprising their roles. These are:

Maggie Grace who will play Irina
Casey LaBow will play Kate Denali
Christian Camargo will play Eleazer Denali
Mia Maestro will play Carmen Denali
MyAnne Buring will play Tanya Denali
Rami Maleck will play Benjamin
Bronson Pelletier plays Jared
not forgetting...Lee Pace who will play Garett

These according to US MTV makes up the very long list of new characters that will appear in this last instalment of this series of films.

All new Hobbit news

Unfortunatly Rob Kazinsky who was originally cast to play Fili has had to drop out for personal reasons and Fili has now been recast with Dean O' Gorman playing this character in The Hobbit instead. Also, Lee Pace has been cast to play 'The Elvin King'.

O'Gorman hasn't had to travel far for the location of where Peter Jackson has been shooting the film as he is already a New Zealander who is already in a very popular TV series over there called 'The Almighty Johnsons'. Pace on the other hand you will recognise from the TV series 'Pushing Daisies', but if you can't think of who he was was in that series he was the pie maker who helped 'Chuck' (Anna Friel) to find out who killed her.

This will be exciting as is the news that the Ian Holm who played  Bilbo Baggins in the other Lord Of The Rings films will be in The Hobbit as the older version of Bilbo, with the very interesting and congratulatory news that Martin Freeman getting the main role.

This will be released in two parts which seems to be a little bit of a phase at the moment with the Harry Potter series of films and the Twilight films but these all seem logical to me as The Hobbit has so many stories in, and Harry Potter is a huge last book as is the last Twilight Book with it's 3/4 books inside the main book.

The first half of The Hobbit will be released for our viewing pleasure in December 2012, and the second half will be released around the same time of the first one in December 2013.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2

This is the official trailer to Part 2 of the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows which is coming out on the 15th June.

I think this looks pretty action packed and what you want from a final instalment from JK Rowling but I thought when the last book came out, and I have to say that I was one of the many who had the day etched into my head so that I would be able to get up at 5 am when the local bookstore would open it's doors and go in and pick up my pre-ordered book of this final book, that there was a story out about how JK Rowling missed the series after she stopped writing about Harry Potter and Co. and was thinking of maybe writing another story with him in. I guess that ship has now sailed.

If you haven't been gripped by the Potter bug whereby you have to not only read the books but you have to see the films and you don't really know what's what in the realm of the films then you can go for a breakdown of this trailer which will tell you all you need to know about the characters on Empire Magazine's website.

I just thought eventhough I've had a look at this I am more interested what Daniel Radcliff's new film 'The Lady In Black' film is like. I know I'm not one for wanting to watch scary films but it does look very interesting.

Intruders film

This horror film is about an 11 year old girl who has to deal with her liiteral childhood demons which not only freak her out but they also reappear to frighten her family.

This sounds like it is a good story to have for a film but it also made better I think by the fact that you have Clive Owen in this as the girl's dad. Also, this film has Ella Purnell in it as the 11 year old, you'll recognise her from the film 'Never Let Me Go'.

Carlos Fresnaldillo has directed this, you may recognise his name from '28 Weeks Later'. It has been written by Nicolas Casariego and Jaime Marques.

The film is out October 7th.

Immortals trailer finally on youtube

After I forst heard from Empire Magazine online that this film was coming out I have been trying in vain to get a first look at the trailer so I can put it on this blog and all you movie fans can see how fantastic this movie looks. But I have already mentioned there hasn't until now been a trailer to speak of that I could get my hands on...that is until now.

This trailer to me looks very theatrical and makes the film look like it's going to be fantastic or at least better than 300 was, as I have seen and have no words to describe how bad it was. The only words I have to say about that film is: 'That's 2 hours of my life that I'm never going to get back'.

If your not familiar with the story of the film I will enlighten you: Mickey Rouke plays King Hyperion who is a bit of a tyranical king wants to use his power as king to rampage across Greece so as to have the Lost Bow Of Epirus with an eye to take down the gods and cement himself into the history books.

But gods Posiedon (Kellan Lutz, he's from the Twilight series of films)  and Zeus (Luke Evans, he was in 'Tamara Drew') along with the women aren't happy with this, so as they don't want to go back on their word of not interfering with the affairs of man they subtly push for a hero to stop Hyperion, this is Theseus ( you'll probably recorgnise him from 'The Tudors', he was the one who died before Henry in the final series episode).

This film will be out November 11th, so it'll be a bit of a wait to see how good this film is. The film is directed by 'The Cell' 's Tarsem Singh and it has been produced by the people behind 300, so lets cross our fingers that it will be better than that film.

Howie Day

I have finally found the song that I first heard two years ago when I watched with my mum 'The Perfdect Man' movie with Hilary Duff in it. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had this in my head every now and then since this film and I know that it might sound a bit lame but I don't care I love it and it makes me smile to know that I have finally found what I'm looking for, haha!

Here is the song 'Collide', I hope you'll give this a listen as it's nice to listen to:

I have to admit that I like this song eventhough I'm not much of a fan of Hilary Duff music or film. I also have to put this on the blog so that I can have a listen to it at any time and not forget it as it took so long to find out who sings this song in the first place.

Fenech-Solar album 'Fenech-Solar'

I just got their album yesterday after coming home from a couple days stay at my grandparents house in Mansfield, Nottingham. This is Am-A-Zing! If you like Freindly Fires then you'll just fall in love with this band like I have.

I urge you to listen to this band and go out an purchase or download a copy NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if not for the song 'Lies' then you should get a copy of this new and exciting dance band purely on the basis that they're new and if you truly love music like me then you'll constantly have in your head what is Zane Lowe's mantra:

'IN NEW MUSIC WE TRUST'

Well, this time I think that you have to give this a legitimate listen to and trust that they'll be a good listen to and I don't think that you'll be disappointed.

Or if you want to take a chance and get a copy of this album then this is a self titled album and you can get a copy from HMV online or you can in all probability get it on itunes.
