Matt Damon...directing now?

After Ben Affleck has been doing his bit of directing it only folllows that Matt Damon should have a turn.
According to Deadline, Matt Damon is keen to jump on board of the newly purchased script 'Father Daughter Time: A Tale of Robbery and Eskimo Kisses'.

This is a film about a father who goes on the run from the law with his daughter who so happens to be his accomplice on a crime spree that goes across 3 US states.

Matthew Aldrich's script has been at the centre of a huge script auction that has involved some big named studios such as: Paramount, Warner Bros.

However, Walter Parkes the head of Relativity Media, Matt Damon and his producer partner Chris Moore. Relativity Media's HQ at Pearl Street raised the money which was used to get this script via a private investor.

But it's now seen that Warner Bros. are at the moment trying ot lock in a deal to aquire the rights to this script as well as getting Matt Damon to be the lead and possibly also the director. But Damon has got a first look deal with Warner Bros. as well as his producer partner and Ben Afleck.

Aside from this, Matt Damon is set to star with Sharlto Copley, Wagner Moura and Jodie Foster in Neil Blomkamp's new sci-fi movie Elysium. These details for thefiklm have been kept literally been kept under lock and key by the director, but what is known is that it is a story in the future on a distant planet. Matt Damon will play an ex-con and Moura will play the villian, a man who is descibed as a man with a crazed sense of humour. Oh, and the shoot for this movie will hopefully be kicking off in Vancouver in July for hopefully a March 2013 release.
