LOOKS LIKE JAMES GUNN IS BRINGING BACK THE BAND FOR " THE SUICIDE SQUAD" REBOOT

If your like me and are a Blues Brothers fan and get the reference to "Getting The Band Back  Together" I'm sorry but I just couldn't resist, but if you don't get it I'll fill in the blanks for you, in the first film "Blues Brothers" after Elwood and Jake have visited James Brown preaching at church they go and see one of their old band members who is now the maître dee at a top restaurant and they tell him they are on a mission from God and they are putting the band back together, but what he doesn't know is the brothers are putting this band back together so as to keep the orphanage they grew up in from closing down and they have to raise $5,000 and give it to the Cooke County Assessors Office by Monday in order for this to happen otherwise the orphanage closes down and "the penguin" (the nun who runs it) will be sent to the missions and that no one is getting paid again.

Anyhew...you may or may not have heard this but I just couldn't resist putting this up on here...I was perusing the Internet the other day and I saw on DigitalSpy.com's website that so far confirmed to return to "The Suicide Squad" reboot to reprise their roles from the original "Suicide Squad" movie is Jai Courtney who played Captain Boomerang, Viola Davies who played Amanda Waller who put together Task Force X and wanted Batman to get rid of all documents about this after it all went wrong, and Margot Robbie who played Harley Quinn...and also according to DigitalSpy.com's website production on this reboot will start after Margot Robbie finishes filming on the Harley Quinn spin off film "Birds Of Prey".

Also you may have or may not have heard that Idris Elba will be in this reboot as another character instead of being cast as Will Smith's character "Deadshot",-this was originally thought to be happening as Will Smith had to drop out of returning to this movie because of scheduling conflicts-, so DigitalSpy.com says that this has been done so the door can be kept open for Will Smith to eventually return as "Deadshot" in the future.

But I've just seen that according to Variety.com's website that John Cena is now in talks to join the cast of "The Suicide Squad" reboot, but according to this same article on Variety.com's website it is still unclear what character John Cena will be playing in this film and the same can be said for the role that Idris Elba will be cast as, TheRevengeOfTheFans.com's website seems to think that Idris Elba might or could be cast as Bronze Tiger or that John Cena could be cast as Killer Shark, Polka Dot Man or even Killer Frost,-but if you ask me I've just quickly looked these comic book characters up on Wikipedia and it's pages said that in the comic books Killer Frost was drawn as a woman so I think it's fairly unlikely this would be the character that John Cena would be cast as-.

So it sounds like to me that James Gunn is kind of bringing back the cast of the original "Suicide Squad" for what is said by Peter Safran who will be producing "The Suicide Squad" a soft reboot and will not have an in direct link to the original "Suicide Squad" film...but we still don't know yet if Jared Leto will be back to reprise his role as "The Joker", Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (probably spelt this wrong, my apologies if I have) who played "Killer Croc",-who I know didn't get to say much but had that one line which I thought was genius "Tourists!" when he has to swim down into the sewers,- if Joel Kinnaman will reprise his role as Rick Flagg, if Jay Hernandez will reprise his role as "El Diablo" or are these roles going to be recast or are these characters simply going to be killed off.

This reboot will be set to be released in cinemas over in the USA according to IMDb.com's website on 6th August 2021.

I have no idea why I haven't put this up here before because I've been loving MALUMA and LUIS FONSI music for aaaaaages now and last New Years Eve me and my family were all dancing around the kitchen to these artists songs and we were having such a good time we nearly missed the London fireworks when they came on the TV!... and I have no idea why there aren't more radio shows and music channels that don't play these artists as well as J Balvin, Winsin, Yandel and Romeo Santos as all these Latin American artists songs in my opinion are fantastic for getting you feeling like you want to go out and go dancing and they also transport you when your listening to the songs like your on a bright white beach somewhere hot and far far away from the dreary rainy day that's going on outside your window.

I'm really liking this cheeky sounding song that if you ask me,-and this might just be me,-wouldn't go a miss if in the music video there was some kind of Harley Quinn entrance walking down a street with a baseball bat and maybe a shot of a lighter going to be thrown to burn down a building to get someone back for something...but this could just be me or it could just sound like I've maybe watched "Suicide Squad" too many times.

I think from now on, now that I've watched this lyric video I think if I'm having any kind of argument I'm just going to say "Bitch Please, don't hustle me" that is a fantastic line! as well as dance my ass off to this song that it according to YouTube.com was written with Dan Reynolds from "Imagine Dragons" and also according to this same YouTube.com channel of P!NK's you can hear Dan Reynolds in the background of this song singing the "woo woo" bits of the song.

This song along with her "Walk Me Home" single has definitely got me excited to hear what else is going to be on her NEW! album that according to HMV's website will be available in stores April 26th which will be called "Hurts2BHuman"...so keep this date saved in your dairies people! I just saw all of it today as the day this music video was released I started watching it and then had to pause it as I was just about to leave the house and I didn't get to see it until today in full. And I have to say I think this is really clever how there are dancer's with P!NK but you can't actually see them until she stops on the stairs in the video and I think it looks really clever how it looks like there was some wirework used in this music video but you can't see this.

THERE'S A "TERMINATOR 6" ON THE WAY?!

WTF? Is my first thought when I saw this headline on CBR.com's website, but then I read this as I just couldn't believe there's going to be another "Terminator" and that this franchise just seems to go on and on and doesn't seem to want to die with dignity.

According to Deadline.com's website James Cameron will produce this "Terminator" film that already has the working title "Terminator: Dark Fate" that has already been pencilled in to be released on November 1st 2019 (for the USA) but for the UK the pencilled in release date is 23rd October 2019.

And also according to Deadline.com's website Arnold Schwarzenegger is returning to this film to reprise the role as "Terminator" along with Linda Hamilton who will reprise her role as Sarah Connor.

According to CBR.com's website Tim Miller who directed "Deadpool" will direct this as James Cameron trusts Tim Miller to lead the Terminator franchise to what might be it's finish line,-fingers crossed, it's not that I'm down on this franchise it's just that there have been soooo many "Terminator" films over the years and all of them never having a finish where Skynet are finally finished, over, it always seems to end where there is another way Skynet keep going or people still think Sarah Connor is crazy or like in the last film "Terminator: Genysis" just when you think it's over that Skynet have been finally finished off there not...but I get why that one finished like that it's because the filmmakers wanted to make another "Terminator" film-.

Also according to Deadline.com's website Josh Friedman along with David S Goyer, Billy Ray and Justin Rhodes will write the screenplay for this with Tim Miller and David Ellison writing the story for this "Terminator".

Also according to Deadline.com's website David Ellison, James Cameron, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger will produce along with Fox and Paramount.

Also according to DigitalSpy.com's website McKenzie Davies who you may or may not recognise from "Blade Runner 2049" who was a prostitute who let Joy use her so she could have sex because Joy was just a hologram of a women will star as a soldier-assassin from the future and Diego Boneta will play an important human role. Also according to CBR.com's website Gabriel Luna will star in this film with Natalie Reyes.

Also according to this same article on CBR.com's website "Terminator: Dark Fate" will ignore every  "Terminator" movie that came after "Terminator: Judgement Day" which was the last film in the franchise that James Cameron directed according to CBR.com .

Also according to CBR.com's website Paramount are hoping that by getting James Cameron back on board of this franchise in a producing role and by having him promote the movie it will reinvigorate fans who were disappointed with the sequels...so that would be all the sequels of this franchise then...particularly "Terminator: Genysis" which was according to CBR.com's website the lowest grossing of all the movies in the franchise.

IS IT A BIRD...IS IT A PLANE...NO NO ONE REALLY KNOWS WHAT CHRISTOPHER NOLAN'S NEXT FILM IS

I know I know the geek inside me right now is screaming that this is the completely wrong comic book character this is Superman not Batman but I just couldn't help it.

Yesterday I was perusing the internet and I was seeing headlines about the NEW! Christopher Nolan film and how nobody in the movie industry not even movie news insiders could work out what this next project of Christopher Nolan's is... some movie news websites were guessing that this was going to be a sequel to "Inception"...which I just thought at the mere thought of there being a sequel to this film "NOOOOOOOOO! How the hell can there be a sequel to this when the first film was sooooo confusing and mind bottling"....other movie news websites guessed that this would be a romantic thriller but no one is really quite sure what this will be.

According to Variety.com's website Robert Pattinson and Elizabeth Debicki will star in this next film alongside James David Washington and that the script for this already dubbed "mystery project" has recently been finished with also according to this same article on Variety.com's website Warner Bros. already pencilling in a July 17th 2020 release date.

And this same article also says that Christopher Nolan will be producing this next film alongside his partner Emma Thomas and production for this will commence later this year and that this NEW! film of Christopher Nolan will be shown in IMAX.

But Variety.com has managed to find one insider that has described this next movie of Christopher Nolan's as " a massive action blockbuster".

I'm even seeing on Google now that some movie news websites are even guessing that this "mystery project" could be "Sherlock Holmes" or even "James Bond" and I've just seen on one website that they're guessing that whatever this next movie project is of Christopher Nolan's it will have Tom Hardy in with "some kind of odd shape mask",-this if your not sure what this is in reference to is because in "Batman: The Dark Knight Rises" Tom Hardy was cast as Bane who wore a mask for pain relief as he was so badly scarred from a fight in the prison that meant the prison doctor who was suppose to mend the damage done to his back messed it up and he was also scarred because illness broke out in the prison after this, and in another Christopher Nolan film "Dunkirk" Tom Hardy was cast as a pilot and he had to wear a mask-.

"SUICIDE SQUAD 2" NEWS!

I was perusing the internet yesterday and saw this and thought I just had to put this up here.

According to The Express Newspaper's website James Gunn will be writing and directing this "total reboot" says DC Comics producer Peter Safran who spoke to JoBlo writer Paul Shirley, according to Peter Safran "...its The Suicide Squad and I think people should be extremely excited about it..."

He also went on to say that:

"It's everything you would hope from a James Gunn script and I think that says a lot and that promises a lot and I know we will deliver a lot..."

Peter Safran went on to say about whether there would be a conflict between Marvel and Warner Bros. he said:

"It was all handled incredibly elegantly and everybody knows on both sides Suicide Squad is the priority today and he'll finish that movie and then everybody knows his next film will be Guardians..."

I don't want to turn this into a rant but I just have to get this off my chest... I'm with SlashFilms.com what the fuck is Disney thinking rehiring James Gunn to direct "Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol.3" for along with the studio hiring him for this, I'm excited that at last there's some news out about "Suicide Squad 2" but this is really fucked up to me that after everything James Gunn did you'd hire him and that actors from "Guardians Of The Galaxy" like Dave Bautista and Zoe Saldana come out and defend his behaviour saying "Oh that's just his humour"...no that's not humour that's nobody humour to make jokes about paedophilia and rape it's demeaning to anybody who has been in that situation, it makes them look even stupid for coming out and defending this it's as if their saying that it's ok for someone to make a joke about this when it clearly isn't, and it's especially stupid of Disney as they want to be seen as a company that releases family friendly films or films that you can sit down with the family at home knowing that children aren't going to be too scared of any of the action that's in the film, there's not too much violence, swearing or bloodshed in the film so this to me just sounds like rehiring him might just hurt their brand image as I don't think too many families knowing what has happened are going to feel ok with going to the cinema to watch this and I would have thought people who don't have families but know what has happened might just boycott the film anyway as their against the whole firing him and then seeming to hire him when all the heat has died down.

And now that I think about it the studio are even more stupid for hiring him for "Suicide Squad 2" because this just goes way beyond the slogan that was on all the posters and part of the PR for the last "Suicide Squad" film "It Feels Good To Be Bad" because this just looks like the studio have completely lost sight of creating a fun filled action packed comic book movie and it just looks like the studio cares more about money than morals.

There I've said it...rant over!

Anyhew...according to this same article on The Express Newspaper's website not much is known about who if any of the cast of "Suicide Squad" are going to be returning but what is known is that Margot Robbie will return to reprise her role as Harley Quinn along with Jared Leto who played The Joker...but also according to The Express Newspaper's website Will Smith who played Deadshot will not be returning according to Variety.com:

"Sources say scheduling was the ultimate factor and that the decision was made on amicable terms between both sides with no hard feelings..."
 
And apparently Joel Kinnaman has already reportedly told The Hollywood Reporter that he expects to reprise his role in "Suicide Squad 2" as government agent Rick Flag.

This same article on The Express Newspaper's website seems to also suggest that James Gunn might kill off most of "Suicide Squad" original cast and if any are recast to reprise their roles from the original movie they might just be seen for minutes then killed off...but I was just thinking if this is true then other than having a massive explosion to kill all the characters off who the hell are you going to replace these characters with?

And why would you want to replace the original cast this might just be me but I thought that it was a really good cast in "Suicide Squad" everyone in the film seemed to me to be really good at their own individual characters and I can't even believe that there has been no word yet on whether Viola Davies will be recast as she was amazing especially when she shot everyone in the room working with her to get the cast of the film to get her out of the city after "Enchantress" and her brother had built a machine to destroy the world and she just gave a glare to Will Smith's character "Deadshot" and he said "Now that's gangster"...who else can you cast that can do that?

And I have to agree with this article on The Express Newspaper's website that not recasting the original cast to make some sort of link between the first "Suicide Squad" and this second film or picking and choosing some of the original cast of "Suicide Squad" might be a bad move as in The Express's Newspaper's website's own words:

" This does not bode well for Warner Bros, who's DC Comics adaptions have been hit and miss..."

Dave Bautista has already been reportedly campaigning to join the cast of this reboot as what I don't know character wise.

This same article on The Express Newspaper's website also states that James Gunn is reportedly looking to start production on this in Atlanta, Georgia on September 2019 with a release date pencilled in for August 6th 2021.
