FINALLY! STEPHEN KING "DOCTOR SLEEP" IS GETTING ADAPTED

You may or may not have already heard this news that Stephan King "Doctor Sleep" is FINALLY getting adapted into it's own movie...I would have thought that as other books of Stephen King has already been adapted like "IT", "Mr. Mercedes", "Carrie",-this got remade with Zoe Grace Moretz starring as Carrie-, "Dark Tower", "The Shining" (of course) etc that this would also get remade as especially as it is a sequel to "The Shining" which is such a fantastic film I would have thought that this would have been the first of all the other books adapted into a film as this is a sequel to "The Shining"...and this film had such a buzz to it as it was directed by the legendary director Stanley Kubrick and starred Jack Nicholson as Jack Torrence.

If you haven't seen "The Shining" where the hell have you been? you really need to watch this film and if you haven't read this book you also really need to read this book...but if you haven't read "Doctor Sleep" then I will fill in the blanks:

"Doctor Sleep" follows Danny Torrence after the events that took place at the Overlook Hotel where he found out he had "the shining" ability to see things that had happened in the past like the ghosts of the dead twin girls that were killed by the father with an axe of the family who were hired before Danny's father to look after the hotel in the winter season when everyone leaves the hotel, things that were going to happen before they happen like the rivers of blood that come down the corridor and out of the elevators of the hotel and he can also use his gift to communicate with other people who can "shine" like he does like the chef Dick Halloran, he now is an alcoholic to stop his gift and he's still traumatized by everything that has happened at the hotel and his mother has died and he hasn't talked to Dick Halloran in ages but he has learnt to create lock boxes to stop seeing the ghosts especially that of Mrs. Massey, and he then moves to a new town to get away from everything and to try and stop drinking so he gets a job at the local hospital where people seem to know about his "shining" as it appears that everytime a white cat goes into the room of a elderly patient it tends to mean they're going to die and then Danny gets called to help the patient go, and on the weekends he has a job driving a train as part of the towns local attraction. Soon though he learns that they're is a little girl with "the shining" ability that seems stronger than his called Abra that is trying to communicate with him and he soon learns that she is in need of his help as not only does she not know what "the shining" is but this group The True Knot have been traveling round in caravans killing children for their "Shining" so they can remain young but this starts to go wrong as one of the kids they kill is ill with chickenpox and in turn they start dying, but the leader thinks that if they kill Abra then they will be young forever and this leads to a showdown between Danny using his ability as well as "the shining" of Abra's dying grandmother at the campsite that is next to The Overlook Hotel.

Anyhew...according to Variety.com's website Ewan McGregor has been cast as Danny Torrence in Warner Bros. adaption of this Stephen King book and also I have read on other websites about this that Stephen King has given his blessing for Ewan McGregor to be cast as Danny Torrence as I had heard that Stephen King had supposedly not liked Stanley Kubrick's adaption of his book "The Shining".

Also according to Variety.com's website Warner Bros. have got Mike Flanagan to direct and his producing partner Trevor Macy will produce along with Vertigo Entertainment's Jon Berg.

Also according to Deadline.com's website also starring alongside Ewan McGregor in this film will be Rebecca Ferguson who you may or may not have seen in "Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation" who played Ilsa Faust and who you may or may not have seen in "Mission Impossible: Fallout" will play the role of "Rose The Hat" the leader of The True Knot, Bruce Greenwood will also star in this film along with Carl Lumbley, Alex Essoe and Zahn McClarnon.

Also according to IMDb.com's website this is pencilled in to be released in the USA on the 24th January 2020.
