I just saw this on Collider.com and I can't believe this is actually happening...I think I've just had to pick my jaw up off the floor after hearing this unbelievable piece of film news.
According to Collider.com via an interview with CNBC producer Brian Grazer told correspondent Carl Quintanilla that:
"I'm actually gonna do Splash today, and I can't say . I'm actually going to do it from the point of view- I can't say anything about it. There's a movie star involved or gonna be involved. I haven't announced it."
And in case your reading this and thinking "is this guy talking about doing Splash the TV show"...no you'd be wrong in thinking this, Brian Grazer is in fact talking about remaking the Ron Howard directed "Splash" that starred Tom Hanks and Daryl Hannah as a mermaid who saves Tom Hanks from drowning and she then becomes a human to track him down.
And he went on to say in this same interview that this new take on the Tom Hanks film will be a "version of" his original concept for "Splash" which was called "Wet" (so says Screenrant.com) which was according to Screenrant.com was based on the mermaid's point of view, and when Brian Grazer was asked in this same interview whether he would go back to this original idea for "Splash" he said said that:
" Yes. And that's what...we're going to do a version of that. But I can't tell you the twist".
This isn't the only Tom Hanks film that is getting remade as according to Collider.com the film "Big" is going to be remade into a half an hour comedy adaption that will be loosely based on the original's film but has been described as "looking more at what it means to be a kid and what it means to be an adult and how that in today's world these two things are more confused more than ever", as well as the film "Bachelor Party" being made into a half an hour comedy anthology by ABC this series again is only loosely based on the original film's narrative but will be geared more towards examining relationships and the institution of marriage.
This sounds to me, now I think about it that these two remakes are going to be over analysing what was a fun family film and is going to suck all the fun out of them and have people thinking "what was the point of remaking it if that was what they're going to remake it like".
Apart from this not much else is know about this remake, so we'll just have to wait and see what other news comes out about this remake.
I wanted this blog's words to look like they had a similiar look to Rolling Stone Magazine as that Magazine is to me a god like magazine. I also wanted this blog to be like me with fresh, new and exciting news about all things music and film based.

Stephen King's "It" update!
Like I was saying in my last blog post this adaption of this book of Stephen King's "It" seems to me to have been long time coming and there seems to have been a lot of conflicting reports about this firstly I heard via Empire Magazine's website that Cary Fukunaga was going to be directing this movie remake and that Will Poulter who you may or may not recognise from ""The Miller's" and "The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader" where he played Edmund who got turned into a dragon was reported to be cast as the demonic clown Pennywise.
But...and this is a big but now according to The Hollywood Reporter's website this is all changed
According to an article on The Hollywood Reporter's website Cary Fukunaga who walked away over creative differences which put the film back a year while New Line Cinema were looking for another director for this and thus made Will Poulter unavailable to be in this movie so of course he dropped out and now Andy Muschietti who directed the surprise horror "Mama" will now direct and Bill Skarsgard who is the brother of Alexander Skarsgard who will be starring as Tarzan in this summer's "The Legend Of Tarzan" film is in final negotiations to play the role of the demonic clown Pennywise instead.
This article also reports that this film adaption of Stephen King's book will be told in two parts, the first part will tell the kid's story, and the second part will focus on the adult's who have to band together again to fight "It" once and for all even though they have no memory of the first battle.
The story follows a group of teens called "The Loser's Club" who defeat a creature called "It",-and if you are familiar with the story for "It" you'll know that Pennywise is a clown which is the form that an evil entity frequently takes the form of and lives in the sewers and when he smiles is all killer teeth-.
Barbara Muschetti, Seth Grahame-Smith, Roy Lee, David Katzenberg and Dan Lee are producing this film adaption, with John Silk executive producer and Richard Brener, Walter Hamader and Dave Neustadter overseeing this for New Line Cinema.
Talking of all these Stephen King books that are being adapted to be made into movies one other Stephen King book that I think all Stephen King fans, fans of "The Shining" film would appreciate and just because in my opinion it is a bloody good story should that should be adapted into a film should be "Doctor Sleep",-if unlike me you haven't read this you must read this as it's such a page turner and it's so gripping and thrilling you'll find it hard to put it down as you'll want to find out what happens next, I relise now that I've said this if you want to read this book and not know what this is about STOP READING NOW!- this story picks up after the events at the Overlook Hotel and follows Danny Torrence and how he is still tormented about what happened at the Hotel and how he turns to drink and alcohol to dull his shining and how he drifts from town to town and has lost touch with Dick Hallorann and how Mrs. Massey (the ghost from Room 217) along with other ghosts from the hotel still haunt him, so when he was younger he was told by Dick Hallorann to create lock boxes in his mind and to put them there so that he wouldn't be scared of them anymore. But then he comes to a New Hampshire village called Frazer where he decides he's going to get clean so he gets a job part time working on a tourist train and then in the evenings he works at an old people's home where along with a cat which is said by the staff of the old people's home that if he goes into a patients room then that person will die but he also has the reputation of using his "shining" to help these patients cross over and it's in Frazer where he comes across Abra a little girl who has an even more potent shining than he does and after she witness a murder of a little boy by "The True-Knot" (a group of quasi immortals that feed off of people's "steam" and they travel round in campervans) that they try and hunt her down as they think that her steam will cure all of them that are getting sick and dying as well as helping them live for ever, this inevitably leads to Danny having to have a showdown with them that leads back to the campsite that is located right next to the old site for The Overlook Hotel and a showdown with the true knot's leader Rose who he has had repeated warning via his shining to stay away from the lady in the top hat.

Stephen King films news updates!
You may or may not already know about this film news but as I mentioned in my last post on here I'm catching up on all things movie and music wise.
Anyhew... there seems to be some new updates on Stephen King's long gesticulating movie remake of Stephen King's "It" which seems to me like it's been rumbling on for aaaaaaages as does seem the same as the making of Stephen King's other book " The Dark Tower" series of books which last I heard Ron Howard wanted to direct this adaption,,-(to see these news updates about Stephen King's "It" please see this next blog post),- but now I see that according to Entertainment Weekly's website things have slightly changed on this front, Ron Howard is still aboard this movie adaption but as one of the producers along with Brian Grazer, Erica Huggins of Image Entertainment and Jeff Pinker as executive producer.
And also it has been reported in this same article on Entertainment Weekly's website that Nikolaj Arcel will begin adapting this series of books written by Stephen King as well as co-writing this film adaption,-Nikolaj Arcel is best know for co-writing the screenplay for the Swedish version of "The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo" which in my opinion is the better film version of this book rather than the American remake of this film, because the Swedish film adaption of this book was great on it's own and to be honest I don't really know why their was a remake of this film anyway, well saying that I do know why their was a remake firstly because I guess this was in Swedish and secondly the first film was seen by loads of people and that probably translates into a lot of money was made at the cinema as a lot of people would have bought tickets at cinemas to go and see this film when it was originally released.- along with Anders Thomas Jenson, Akiva Goldsmith (who will also be producing this film adaption with his Weed Road Company) and Jeff Pinker.
And this same article also says that Idris Elba who you may or may not recognise from the brilliantly amazing "Luther" TV series or you might just even recognise his voice from "The Jungle Book" recent remake as the voice of Shere Khan or you might even recognise his voice from "Zootopia" as the voice of Chief Bogo and music fans just might recognise him from Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' song "Dance Off" (if you haven't seen this music video yet please see below)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9LAzNMn8Ow
has been confirmed to play the gunslinger,-if you haven't read the books like me this character is called Roland Deschain who is a sort of frontier knight who's weapons of choice are a pair of revolvers who needs to get to the dark tower which stands at the nexus point of time and space in order to save his decaying world and in order to complete this journey to the dark tower he must call upon our world for help, drawing on a junkie called Eddie, an amputee called Susannah and a young boy called Jake to be part of his "ka-tet" (a term used for a group brought together by destiny), but also wanting to reach the dark tower is "the man in black"-, who according to this same Entertainment Weekly article Mathew McConaughey will play,-this character in the books is a devil who goes by many names but mostly Walter O' Dim or Walter Padick who wants to reach the dark tower in order to rule over the dark tower's seemingly infinite kingdoms.
Also according to this same Entertainment Weekly article Abbey Lee who you may or may not recognise from "Mad Max: Fury Road" is reportedly in talks to play the role of Tirana, but it's not yet known who will be cast to play the roles of the other characters.
The first film will not though adapt the plot of the first book "The Gunslinger" which was published in 1982, but what is known about this Dark Tower adaption is according to Stephen King:
" (The movie) starts in media res, in the middle of the story instead of at the beginning, which may upset some of the fans a little bit, but they'll get behind it, because it is the story"
But Nickolaj Arcel did hint about this film's plot saying that:
"A lot of it takes place in our day, in the modern world"
But also according to this same article filming for this will start in South Africa and Song Pictures has plans for this film adaption to be released in theatres on January 30th 2017.

England Football Team Suits 2016 designed by Marks and Sparks!
God it feels like an age since I've written on here and I'm sorry for the absence I've been busy travelling and I'm back now so I'm just catching up.
Anyhew...You may or may not have heard that for Euro 2016 England football team will have their team suits designed by Marks and Spencer's according to an article on The Mirror's website, also according to this same article the FA's Commercial Director, Stuart Turner has said:
"Once again, the in-house design team at M&S has shown excellent attention and the England squad will be heading to France in a suit of the highest quality..."
He went on to say that:
"We are delighted to continue our partnership with M&S into a ninth successive year ahead of another major tournament...
"...The FA's relationship with M&S continues to go from strength- to- strength and we are really pleased with the England team's official suits for Euro 2016..."
Also whilst I was perusing the internet to try and find any information about these wool navy suits I saw on Marks and Spencer's own website that not only will these be navy but these suits will be wool with a tailored fitted jacket which according to Marks and Spencer's website:
"...really defines the shoulder, chest and waist..."
this suit also comes with tailored fit trousers and has been made using Alfred Brown cloth with details such as a navy jacquard football pitch lining, a star on the inside pocket for winning the World Cup in 1966 as well as the internals featuring red, white and blue trims so says Marks and Spencer's own website.
Their website also mentions how this suit is available in a tailored fit in store with slim fit, big and tall fit.
This suit also comes with a pure wool 5 button waistcoat, a cotton tailored fit Supima shirt, a pure silk striped tie and leather lace up Derby shoes.

England Euro 2016 NEW! Home and Away kit revealed!
I was perusing the Facebook this morning and I saw a headline revealing the New 2016 England home and away team kit that will be showcased at this years Euro 2016 tournament that starts this June 10th with the final taking place a month later in Paris.
If you want to have a gander this is what the Home Strip will look like according to GIVEMESPORT.com:

Also according to GIVEMESPORT.com this is what the Away Strip will now look like:

But this new kit hasn't as you can imagine with most changing of things in football with open arms and reading why this new kit has been controversial I can understand why...if your thinking about buying this new kit it will according to an article on The Daily Mail's website that a full adult replica kit will cost £101, but also according to this same Daily Mail article if you wanted to buy a full replica kid's kit it would cost £84, and if you were thinking of buying just an adult shirt this would cost you £60 and a kid's replica shirt would cost £48.
And if you were thinking of buying the shorts,-which I can't see why you'd just buy these on their own or unless you wanted to buy these along with the shirt or as part of the full kit,- for the adult shorts it will cost you £28.00 or if your going to buy the kid's sized shorts these will cost £23.00.
But it looks like though the cheapest part of this new kit both in adult sizes and in kid's sizes is the socks, these will only cost £13.00.
But I'm guessing as with everything these days these prices may seem a bit high as your not only paying for the name Nike which has designed, created and made these shirts but also your going to be paying for the technology inside these new kits as well as how these kits look.
As According to The Daily Mail these NEW kits "...mark a revolution in football apparel...".
The Daily Mail's article goes onto say that:
" England's Vapor kits are 10 per cent lighter, boast 50 per cent more stretch, wick sweat 20 per cent quicker and dry 25 per cent faster than Nike's most recent football kits."
The creative director of Nike, Martin Lotti has said about this NEW kit that:
" For both kits we set out with the goal of bringing together the colours that are synonymous with English football: white, red and blue – flashes of contrast are used to illustrate innovative details such as the cross-dyed knitted sleeves and the ventilation-enhancing stripe on the sides of the shirts and shorts."
He goes on to say that:

He goes on to say that:
"England have had great moments in red over the years – one in particular – and our design team have risen to the challenge of integrating references to England’s footballing history with a futuristic system of performance apparel in both the home and away kits."
Some of these "futuristic system's" that Nike are planning to introduce with this NEW kit is on the shorts the drawstrings which have been a staple feature on the team shorts for a while now has now been removed and a brand new waistband has been introduced along with ventilation holes being on this strip so the players can be able to cope with playing in the warm climate of the south of France.
Also sewn into the back collar of this NEW kit will be the word "England", and the words "Lion" and "Three" will adorn the inside cuffs of the shirts.
And on the reverse of the crest will reveal a white rose graphic, this is supposed to be a reference to the symbol that was embroided on early England caps in the nineteenth century.
Both the adult and kid's replica kits will come in different fits but the professional team are said to be going to wear specially made athletic-fitted shirts.
These NEW home and away kits will only be available to purchase from March 24th.
Thinking about it now, saying that prices for this new kit are high to me aren't to me very controversial as the £60.00 price tag for buying just a shirt is probably the minimum anybody has to splash out on if they wanted to buy a shirt from the team they support shirt...so to me I don't really get what all the fuss is about as really this price tag is to me cheaper than some of the astronomical prices football teams ask their fans to pay for either just a ticket to see one match home or away or if their fans want to buy a season ticket...these prices seem to me to be more controversial than these prices and some fans this season such as Liverpool fans have even walked out of matches as way of protesting against these ridonculous prices.

New Music Must Read Part 2: Stevie B Wolf's New Project!
If you read this blog or have read this blog before you'll know that I am a big fan of Stevie B. Wolf and I just really, really wanted to put up on here news of the new project he's already started called DORADO, this is him bringing out a brand new single every month for the next year...sounds like a tall order if you ask me but now that I think about it it sounds exciting to try and challenge yourself to come up with a brand new song every month for a year but it does sound like it could be a very long and arduous challenge but very exciting.
He's already started this road to DORADO with already releasing the single "Need You Baby", if you haven't managed to have a listen to this yet here is a link to it on soundcloud:
https://soundcloud.com/steviebwolf/need-you-baby
This as with all his other music is really good for background music if your chilling at the end of the day with having a few sun downers out on the terrace somewhere or if your just sat chilling at home his music is perfect music to listen to or even if you want to just sit back and decompress at the end of a hectic working week this is just perfect music to listen to.
But with this song especially and with Stevie B. Wolf's other songs including his amazing cover of Blink 182's "Dammit" he definitely gives a beachy sound to them,- i.e if you listen to any of his songs you can definitely imagine playing these songs whilst sat on the beach with a group of your friends chilling with a few beers-.
And I also have to say that with "Need You Baby" that with it's cheery vibes that get your toes tapping along to it is a bit sad to hear the song end.
If your already a fan or you just want to see what the next single for this next month will be then, be sure to stay tuned to Stevie B. Wolf's Facebook page where he'll be sharing his next single "Believe the Calm" this Friday 18th.

Whilst doing this I have definitely been keeping my ears and eyes open to any and every form of new music I can listen to as I definitely think that all the 'chaos and the calm' created by running around and promoting this range of wonderful products would push me to the brink,-sorry for stealing the name of James Bay's album it just seemed to perfectly sum up how everything has been going lately-.
One of the fantastic new artists I've been listening to,-I've been listening to this band for a while now and really excited these guys are going to be at this year's SXSW Festival in Austin Texas on Thursday the 17th March at the Sledghammer 503 East 6th Street for anyone that's going to be in the area at 12:55-1:20am please check these out- is a Brooklyn, New York rock band SHINOBI NINJA whose style of music is described as "Rock Hood" on their Facebook Page:

All their music is as described rock music but in my opinion each track of theirs definitely has a very different feel to it, but all of these tracks do have a high energy to them that you can really rock out to and have a really good time to, these tracks aren't just amazing to hear in a concert environment these tracks would also sound really good if you were having any kind of party or even if you just want to listen to something different.
If you want to "try before you buy" any of SHINOBI NINJA's music you should definitely listen to "What If The Times" and just hear the summery vibes or in my opinion just sit back and you can just imagine this being played at a pool party somewhere.
Check out their other single "Bang Bang" your sure to have a better day by this song getting stuck in your head.
