Hitman 2 has a new name! Hitman 2: Agent 47 but this could all change though

You may or may not have already heard but the sequel to the "Hitman" film has a new title it's not just called Hitman 2 anymore, this is such a relief to me as for months I had been scouring the internet to find any new news about this long awaited follow up movie that's nearly as long as the "Assasin's Creed" movie, that has also had news out this week from Michael Fassbender that he is still attached to star and produce this movie that according to www.kdramastars.com the UK release date for this is 7th August 2015, but according to IMDb.com the UK release date is the 6th August 2015 so I'm a bit confused in this one but hayho...anyway and I wasn't finding anything new or updated about this Hitman sequel but then low and behold my Google search engine popped up with:

Did you mean "Hitman 2: Agent 47" ?

So once I put this in the search engine bingo! news ahoy about this sequel, but this could change and be renamed to something entirely different closer to the release date as many films do get renamed either in this country or in other countries for the reason that another title for the film goes over better with the type of audience that the filmmakers want to attract to go and see the film. I saw this picture a couple of months ago on IGN's website but didn't put it up on here as I was waiting with baited breath to see if there was going to be any further news such as more pictures from behind-the-scenes or a first trailer but no such luck unfortunately:

  Agent 47 (2015) Poster

This is one of the first glimpses of Rupert Friend (who you may or may not recognise from "Homeland") that was taken from the European set of the new film which will as you already may or may not know also stars Zachary Quinto (who you may or may not recognise from "Heroes" who played the character Cila who stole everybody's powers and then adapts the power to his own power), and Hannah Ware and Ciaran Hinds (who you may or may not recognise from "Lara Croft Tomb Raider 2: The Cradle Of Life" he played the bad guy who wanted the cradle of life and to look into Pandora's box but ended up dead by drowning in boiling black acid), this sequel has thankfully had the screenplay written by Kyle Ward and has beethisn written by Skip Woods (who wrote the original film starring Timothy Olyphant) and Michael Finch, and will be directed by Aleksander Bach.

So, fingers crossed this film will be a) as action packed as the first film, and b) that it will be as cleverly written as the first film. But it is a shame that not only didn't they get Timothy Olyphant back for the new film,- and in my opinion he was really good as Agent 47-, but they didn't get Olga Kurylenko back to reprise her role either as Mia...but then again if you are like me and have the DVD of this film you might have seen the featurette where there is an alternative ending where Mia gets killed off...so it would probably be no point in reprising her role.

At this years ComicCon 2014 "Hitman: Agent 47" had a panel with the first trailer for this film being shown,-I'm rather annoyed that I can't find this trailer anywhere online so as to put up here-, and the description that I read of this sounds like the film will be high octane action,-tick from me-, but also maybe that there's going to be some sort of story to this with Total Film describing one point of the movie as:

"The trailer opens with a remixed version of  'Voodoo Child', with Friend's antihero cuffed to the table in an interrogation room. The back of his head (which is stubbly, as opposed to clean-shaven) bears the trademark barcode tattoo, albeit in a slightly redesigned form..."

this suggests to me maybe Agent 47 has maybe been out of the game for a bit/tried to get out of the hitman game and judging by these pictures he has to come back.

The UK release date for this film is as according to IMDb.com 20th March 2015.
