YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS TO BELIEVE IT: A NEW! REBOOTED MAGNUM P.I. TV SERIES!

I was perusing YouTube.com's website the other day and this came up on the homepage and I just couldn't believe it...CBS TV over in the USA is rebooting Magnum P.I into a TV series with the help of the writers from "Fast and The Furious" Justin Lin.

Here is the link to YouTube.com's website to see this NEW! rebooted Magnum P.I TV series trailer:

This pilot for CBS TV will star Jay Hernandez who you may or may not recognise from films such as "Suicide Squad" where he played El Diablo (the one who could manipulate fire and had a skull tattoo on his face) Netflix's "Bright" that also starred Will Smith and also you may or may not recognise from the "Bad Moms" film franchise as Thomas Sullivan Magnum, if your like me you'll probably already know that this was originally played by Tom Selleck and will be directed by Justin Lin who you may or may not already know directed four of the "Fast and The Furious" films which I'm guessing was done so as CBS TV could get lots of people watching this and this could therefore transfer into them making a lot of money.

But you can also guess that with Justin Lin's involvement that there are going to be a lot of action and maybe some crazy ass stunts.

I have to say though even though I can't believe this has been rebooted into a television series I can see why some of the websites I've seen this morning are a bit against it as this to me does look like this is just the original with a couple of modern day tweaks with everything from the original Ferrari's that were synonymous with Magnum's character are back, Zeus and Apollo (the two Doberman's that Higgins had to chase away any unwanted guests at Robin Masters house in Hawaii), there seems to be a new Higgins this time she's an ex-MI6 British Intelligence employee who now works for Robin Masters as his property manager, there is still a TC and he still has a helicopter with the exact same paint job as the original TC's helicopter had and there's still a Rick.

All that seems to have changed according to Houston Press's website is the backstory for Magnum...instead of being an ex-Navy SEAL who served in Vietnam this time around it looks like the new Magnum will still be an ex-Navy SEAL that served in Afghanistan and instead of being hired by Robin Masters as his "estate security" is now hired by Robin Masters to have his exploits used as inspiration for his adventure novels.

But it also looks like from this trailer that CBS TV are trying to cross over or link this new reboot series with their "Hawaii Five-O" rebooted series and that perhaps the network are trying to pool fans of both series in so that maybe there are more viewing figures that will show if this series on the strength of this pilot will actually be a success or not if it were to ever become more than just a pilot.
