VERY EXCITING "MORBIUS" NEWS AND MORE!

I was perusing the Internet this morning looking for any updates on the "Morbius" movie and I found this on ComingSoon.net's website:

First Morbius Set Photo Shared by Star Jared Leto

You may or may not have already seen this on set picture that Jared Leto has already put on his Instagram. If this is the first of many on set pictures I'm already excited to see what else the PR machine has to offer and now that I think about it I'm very excited to see how the film does the prosthetics on Morbius's face as from all the comic book drawings I've seen Morbius's character has a very bat like square jaw, nose and red eyes.

Also according to this same article on ComingSoon.net's website in this same Instagram post Jared Leto says that the films finished it's first of twelve weeks worth of shooting.

I also saw on Google when I was perusing the Internet that as well as Jared Leto being cast for this movie along with Matt Smith who will play the villain of the piece Loxias Crown (according to SlashFilms.com's website),-if your like me and not sure who this character is in relation to the "Morbius" comic book don't worry I had to have a google too to see who this character was and according to Wikipedia this is a friend of Morbius's who has the same rare blood disease that he has-, Adria Arjona who will play Martine Bancroft Morbius's fiancé, Jared Harris has now been cast who you may or may not recognise from "The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones" as the character who told Clary that her mum was a Shadowhunter and that they need to stop Banatein Morgenstein from getting his hands on a cup to make more Shadowhunters but then he turns out to be in league with Banentein because he lets demons into the Institute because he believes that there's a curse put on him so he can't step outside the Institute and he thinks that Banantine has the power to remove this curse that doesn't really exist, and you may or may not recognise him from "Resident Evil" (I'm not sure which one this is called there's so many in this franchise but this is the one that takes place in Raccoon City) as he played the doctor that created the T virus that makes people into ravenous zombies but he never intended this to happen as he created it for his daughter who was diagnosed with the same disease he has which would mean she would end up in a wheelchair the same as him so he creates the T virus for her to have in small doses to regenerate dead cells and tissues and she also has to have the anti virus to stop the T virus regenerating too much, and now also according to SlashFilms.com Tyrese Gibson who you may or may not recognise from "The Fast and Furious" films who played Roman Pierce has now been cast as an FBI agent trying to hunt down the living vampire.

Also according to Wikipedia Tyrese Gibson has signed a three year deal when he signed on to do this movie.

And also according to CBR.com's website and revealed by the characters co-creator Roy Thomas's manager John Cimino that Jared Leto reached out to Rob Thomas while he was in London to talk about the character and to get advice on playing the role of "Morbius", he told CBR.com's website that:

"Had a nice conversation this afternoon with Jared Leto, the Oscar winning actor who plays Morbius in the upcoming film about the character Gil Kane and I created back in 1971..."

he went on to say:

"Jared phoned from London and we had a talk about the origins, motivations, and torment of the character. Sounds to me as if he and the producers, directors, et al., have definitely nailed Morbius as we conceived him, and I look forward to seeing the movie. I would guess it would come out in 2020."

So not only does this look like Jared Leto was being respectful of the co-creator of "Morbius" and wanting to be able to play this character right when it came to filming this but this sounds like to me,-fingers crossed-, that maybe the cast and crew have got co-creator Rob Thomas on side which I just have to say sounds a lot better than how I heard that Stephan King didn't like Stanley Kubrick's adaption of "The Shining".

This film is pencilled in to be released in cinemas on July 31st 2020.
