Hyped up cars of 2017 Part 2!

This is the NEW Alpine and Cayman, not much is yet known about these two model types but according to Top Gear's website the Alpine will have a four cylinder turbo engine that will be mounted between the seats and rear wheels, and that it'll have a dual clutch gearbox, and it will do a top speed of up to 0-62mph in 4.5 seconds.

This is the Lamborghini Huracan Performante...I know it's a bit of a mouthful to say but this has only been seen test driving at the Nurburgring and is thought to be shown at the Geneva Motor Show in March, and apart from this scant piece of information it is thought that the bodywork for this model will focus on giving more downforce, and it is also thought that the mid mounted 5.2 litre V10 engine is expected to have new fuel injection technology that mixes multi-point injection with stratified injection so says AUTOCAR's website.

Also according to this website this will help this four wheel drive trim down on the regular cars sprint finish of 3.2 seconds 0-62mph and possibly extend its 202mph top speed.

According to Top Gear's website this is available in two versions, 1) as a standard 467bhp version or  as a widebody GT C form or b) as a 549bhp version with its familiar 4.0 litre bi-turbo V8 engine.

This is the Tesla Model 3, this is an electric car that according to it's own website achieves 215 miles of range per charge, starting price is $35,000 before incentives and it is designed to attain the highest safety ratings in every category.

Tesla's own website boasts that this car combines real world range, performance, safety and spaciousness into a saloon that only Tesla can build.

Apart from this there isn't much known about this car that might according to Top Gear's website get pushed back to 2018.

This is the Peugeot 5008...this to me does look like a squished box on wheels,-not very appealing to look at,-but according to an article on AUTOCAR's website that was published on 7th October last year there are some design features which even to my mind are just mindboggling because of how this thing looks making it sound as if it's a real tardis.

According to AUTOCAR's website this comes with seven seats, all three rows of seats have length adjustability, five different angles of inclination and three-point ISOfix anchor points. Rear passengers are given power sockets, blinds, trays on the back of the first-row seats, cup holders and hooks...very swish!

Boot space can be maximised by removing the third row seats...these seats weigh less than 11kg to make extraction more easier.

Also according to AUTOCAR's website when this car does come to the UK,-this is thought to be mid February- the wrap-around I-Cockpit which adds 12.3inches TFT instrument display and 0.8inches centre console touchscreen.

Also this car comes with either a turbocharged petrol engine or a diesel engine.

JESUS! now this really does look like a box on wheels. But hang on...on Land Rover's own website there seems too be some really cool sounding features with this new Land Rover Discovery for 2017 model like instead of having a key to get into the car you can have the optional Activity Key wristband which is waterproof and robust.

Also there is a 10inch HD touchscreen display, this also includes a "plug and play" feature using the USD ports that act as additional storage for movies and music and there will be charging points for multiple devices.

This is also a seven seater. Also I've just read on Land Rover's own website that there is an optional Terrain Response 2 technology in the car that monitors the driving conditions and automatically selects the driving modes to achieve the best possible chassis and powertrain set up depending on the conditions your driving in.

Also this comes in both a petrol and diesel engine choice.

According to AutoExpress.com's website this new Vauxhall Insignia Grand Sport has a longer wheelbase,-increased by 92mm-.

Also for this new coupe styled new Vauxhall will have a revised engine, according to Auto Express's website although it's not yet been specified what these revised engines will be but it's thought that these will be a mix of 1.5 litre and 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engines, and 1.6 and 2.0 litre turbo diesels, this is thought to improve fuel efficiency and improve performance.

Auto Express's website says that the standard transmission set up will be front wheel drive and a six speed manual gearbox, but also according to this website Vauxhall will offer selected engines with four wheel drive and an eight speed automatic gearbox.

Also according to Top Gear's website there will be loads of optional features on this car including LED matrix lighting, a head up display, stacks of driver aids including a 24hr manned call centre guardian angel for drivers, OnStar.

I was just reading on CarWow.com's website how this new VW Golf GTI has now got an upturned grille included in this models refresh for 2017 and now it's lost its friendly features and looks more aggressive I have to agree that this model of a VW doesn't look as friendly as the VW Golf Beatle's features do,-the Herbie the lovebug cars, sorry I just couldn't resist mentioning Herbie when writing about VW Golf cars-.

Also according to Top Gear's website this isn't the only update Golf have made, apparently there will be new bumpers that will be inspired by the Nurburgring crushing GTI ClubSport. Also according to Top Gear's website power has been improved with up to 242bhp and a new seven speed gearbox arriving for faster shifting and leggier cruising.

I have also just realised that this may also be just be a tad long post so there will be a part 3 to this if you would like to read on.

You thought the cars in "Fast and The Furious" and "Need For Speed" movies were hyped up wait to you see some of these cars in 2017

Happy New Year and I hope you all had a really good Christmas, I was just perusing the internet yesterday and saw this on Top Gear's website and I have to say some of these look sweeeet!

This is the NEW! Bugatti Chiron1 model...if you like me have read that Bugatti had stopped making their fantastically designed Veyron- well in my opinion it was- and have been going "Oh my God! What the hell are Bugatti going to make now?" well this according to Top Gear's website is what they've made next and thankfully this hasn't lost any of it's Bugatti looks, like with the Veyron you just took one look and just wanted to know how it drove and hoped that it drove fast and oh boy it drove fast with speeds of up to 268mph  ...I do realise while I'm writing this that it may sound like I'm a bit of a boy racer and my enthusiasm for the Bugatti Veyron is just pouring over but who doesn't love the look of a fast car especially a Bugatti? and want to see how fast it can drive or want to know what the engine sounds like when you rev the accelerator or even when you just put the key in the ignition?...ok I think even from just writing this even I can gather I may just be a bit of a petrol head.

Anyhew...according to Bugatti's website this super sports car Chiron 1:

"The Chiron1 is the most interpretation of Bugatti's brand DNA and embodies our new design language. The styling accentuates the performance aspect of the super sports car."

I bloody well hope that this styling accentuates the performance aspect with according to Top Gear's website 1,500bhp, and according to Bugatti's website a 16 cylinder, four turbos double powered and give a guaranteed maximum torque at 2,000rpms and the torque is maintained at this level all the way to 6,000rpms and also according to Bugatti's website this results in unbelievable acceleration and with a top speed of 260mph according to Top Gear's website.

And according to Bugatti's own website each Chiron1 is one of a kind as individual as it's owners, with this website saying that the level of individuality can be achieved is subject to very few limitations...and even if your like me and don't have that kind of cash to splash on one of these cars you could still play around with the different colour combinations to see what colour tickles your fancy if you had a Bugatti Chiron1...well we can all dream can't we?

Here is the link below to play around with these colour combinations:

  Alfa Romeo Stelvio interior

This isn't exactly a supped up hyper car but you can expect to see this new Alfa Romero Stelvio model in 2017.

According to Alfa Romero's website this is the first Alfa Romero SUV that combines a commanding driving positions with a low centre of gravity... this sounds to me like a confusing combination to have in a car because it sounds like to me that although you have a good position to see everything when your driving that you might not be able to feel the car on the road which I'm pretty sure in a car is a very important thing to feel when you are driving.

Anyhew...although Alfa Romero's website does say that although the car is extremely light, has an outstanding wheel feel it does perfectly match the handling of a performance car with the comfort of a traditional SUV...this sounds all well and good to me but why should car lovers get excited about this new SUV?

Well...Top Gear's website tells us that this new Alfa Romero SUV is powered by a Ferrari engine, but according to Top Gear's website neither Alfa Romero nor Ferrari like the association with Ferrari saying according to Top Gear's website that this twin-turbocharged 2.9 litre, V6 is "inspired by Ferrari technologies". Alfa Romero's own website states that although this new SUV has a lightweight body structure it also has a carbon fibre driveshaft...so in other words that this car not only is lightweight on the roads and does it feel comfortable to drive when your holding the wheel but when you turn the car on there will be a bit of a kick and a nice noise from the Ferrari engine.

And nice to know that although the name doesn't leave much to be desired this is a five seater.

I still can't believe that when I look at this image that this is a Ford, it looks more like a Ferrari or a Lamborghini to me ...yes your eyes are not deceiving you this is Ford's NEW GT that has been aerodynamically optimised with a extraordinarily powerful 3.5 litre EcoBoost V6 engine...and according to Ford's own website this tear-dropped shape is the result of extensive work in the wind tunnel, and that this car has been specifically designed for pure performance...well with looks like that it better deliver on performance!

The bodywork has been built out of carbon fibre as well as according to Ford's own website saying that every single element of this Ford GT has been designed to deliver the extraordinary speed and exceptional handling found in purpose built racing cars.

Also according to Top Gear's website this Ford GT has a seven speed dual clutch gearbox instead of a manual.

Again this isn't really a supped up car like the Ford GT or the Buggatti Chiron1 but according to Top Gear's website this follow up model from the old CX-5 looks smarter on the outside and more "German" on the inside...so I'm guessing that means that the interior has been built more efficiently, built more technology based with a view to if you want something to work well it should be built really well...(please don't get offended if you are reading this but I am just thinking of other German cars like BMW's and Audi's).

Good gracious! Ok this really doesn't look like a supped up car but there are some parts of the Mini Countryman for 2017 that sounds exciting according to its website.

For one thing this new five seater has according to Mini's own website says it has a jacked up suspension for higher ride height that gives you a perfect view whether your driving on the road or going off road, and these seats stretch out to four metres in length, and they can even move backwards for up to 13cm of extra leg room.

Mini have put into this the latest generation anti-lock brakes which allow you to stop quickly on slippery roads. The Electronic Breakforce Distribution distributes brake force between the wheels to suit the driving conditions...neat!

Cornering Brake Control improves stability when cornering at speed and Brake Assist speeds up the process minimising the brake distance.

So this sounds like you'll definitely be safe in one of these!

This is the BMW X2, this to me sounds like it's still a BMW body but with just bigger wheel alloys and made more boxier than it's normal long lengh saloon type car models or the long length sports versions so BMW can fit this model into the category of crossover.

I do realise that this post may be getting a bit long so to see more new models of cars in 2017 please read part 2 of this post.

Christmas comes but once a year and so does Reformation clothing's NEW NYE collection with HAIM!

I was perusing Twitter yesterday and I came across a Tweet saying that Reformation clothing over in the USA were doing a clothing collection with the girls from HAIM and as me and my sisters are massive fans of this band we were instantly wanting to know more about this new collection that has been specifically designed to put you in the party mood...and maybe even make your New Year's Eve go off with a bang because in the words of Jamie T "New Year's is always shit don't you know what I mean man deal with it"....because these clothes will definitely make you look Amaazing!

But I have just thought that as 'tis the season,-sorry I just couldn't help it I've suddenly today started feeling in the Christmas spirit and having "What's This" from "Nightmare Before Christmas" stuck in my head-, that these will definitely make amazing must have Christmas gifts for anyone who a) loves the band HAIM and wants to look as cool as the girls in the band do,-but just thinking about it this could just be me,- or b) loves their fashion and has an occasion they want to look amazing to or want to dress to impress.

But saying this the other clothes on Reformation clothing's website you could easily say that these would make an amazing Christmas gift or easily wear any items from the website and you'd look amazing in them at any event you went to... even at New Year's Eve!

Here is the link to the full NYE Party Collection on Reformation clothing's website:

https://www.thereformation.com/stories/reformation-haim-collection

If you ask me some of these items are a bit plunging but at least you'll feel amazing in them and I think you'll definitely have all eyes on you when you walk in the room...mostly I think from all the women in the party envying you and wanting to know where you got that from and wishing they had that dress or skirt.

I think as well like on some of the models on the website you could really interchange some of these items like with the skirts you could easily wear them with tights, boots and a top for in the day or you could put a vest underneath some of the plunging tops and wear them with jeans or you could easily dress them up for evening.

Has nobody learnt their lesson from the first movie?!... Leave King King alone!

I was just perusing the internet this morning and I saw that the second trailer for the new "King Kong: Skull Island" has been released into the wilds,-sorry for the pun I just couldn't resist- and is now doing the rounds on the internet.

Here is the link to the IMDB.com page where you can see this second trailer of this film if you haven't already seen the trailer for this film yet:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3731562/?pf_rd_m=A2FGELUUNOQJNL&pf_rd_p=2703897782&pf_rd_r=02KWMABA4PJ4CZGCGW2A&pf_rd_s=hero&pf_rd_t=15061&pf_rd_i=homepage&ref_=hm_hp_cap_pri_1

This new film "King Kong: Skull Island" is according to Wikipedia,-I know I know what your thinking whilst reading this "that these pages can be edited by anyone and they can't always be trusted as a source of news", but I've checked out what it says on this page and so far from what I can see the things it says are true,- this is set to be a reboot of the "King Kong" franchise and is said to serve as the second instalment in Legendary Pictures "King-Kong"/ "Godzilla" series.

And according to IMDb.com this is a film based on the origins of King Kong...but I was thinking "Does there really need to be another "King Kong" film"? and now that I'm writing this I'm thinking that "this better be bloody good because nobody needs another "X:Men Origins: Wolverine", but I'm thinking that the only reason that Legendary Pictures wants this to be the first film to reboot this franchise is for the money...because after the first movie I really can't see why you'd want or need another movie of "King Kong" as Kong died after Jack Black's character thought it would be a good idea to take him out of his natural environment and bring him back to America and make a show out of him...and we all know how well that idea turned out to be.

Anyhew...this movie sees another group of explorers want to go deep into an uncharted island in the Pacific unaware that they're venturing into the domaine of a mythical giant gorilla "King Kong" as well as other giant beasts...what could possibly go wrong?

But if you ask me a lot can go wrong...like this movie trailer just looks like it should have been marketed as a comedy rather than an action/adventure as Tom Hiddleston looks like to me he's orange and if this film is set in the 1970's why is everyone apart from Samuel L Jackson looking like their wearing modern day clothes...and the only thing to say this is set in the 1970s is a Motown record.

And when the film has cast "StepBrother"'s John C Reiley how can this possibly be anything serious?

Well this is just my opinion and I guess that when this film is officially released in cinemas in the UK on March 2017 will we know for sure how well this origins film fares.

This film also features Brie Larson, Tom Hiddleston of course, Samuel L. Jackson, John C. Reilly and has been directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts, Dan Gilroy wrote the screenplay for this movie as well as writing the story for this film, Max Borenstein also wrote the screenplay for this movie and John Gilroy who also wrote the story for this movie.

Finally the loooooooooooooooooong awaited "Dark Tower" adaption of Stephen Kings book news!

You may or may not have heard already but for ages now there has been news on how Ron Howard was set to direct an adaption of Stephen King's "Dark Tower" but for aaaaaaages and through lots of various different things this wasn't looking like it was ever going to be made into a film....but the other day I heard that Idris Elba had been cast as the gun slinging Roland Dechain "The Gunslinger" and Matthew McConaughey cast as his sworn enemy "Randall Flagg" a.k.a "The Man In Black" and both of these are joined in "The Dark Tower" by Tom Taylor who is cast as Jake Chambers.

Also according to ComingSoon.net's website this movie won't be a direct adaption of "The Dark Tower" series of books but more of a continuation and sort of remix of the series that will focus more on Roland's final cycle in his pursuit of "The Dark Tower" and will use elements from all the books in the series.

If you haven't read this book series it's about Roland Deschain, Mid-West's last gunslinger, who is traveling southeast across Mid-World's post-apocalyptic landscape, searching for the powerful but elusive magical edifice known as "The Dark Tower". Located in fey regions of End-World, amid a sea of singing red roses, The Dark Tower is the nexus point of the time-space continuum. It is the heart of all worlds, but it also under threat. Someone, or something is using the evil technology of The Great Old Ones to destroy it.

Nikolaj Arcel is set to direct this adaption through MRC and Sony Pictures.

The release date has been delayed though and is now pencilled in to be released July 28th 2017 (this is according to IIMDb.com the USA release date) ...which was when the new Jumanji film was thought to be released but this according to ComingSoon.net Jumaji will now be released December 22nd 2017.

Other cast members are: Abbey Lee will play Tirana, Franz Kranz will play Pimli the right hand man of Randall Flagg, Jackie Earle Haley, Katheryn Winnick and Claudia Kim.

Say What!?...20th Century want to redo the X-Men films!...and more

Now I saw this headline on The Hollywood Reporter's website whilst I was reading another article and I just had to read it as this sounded to me just ridiculous...a redo or a reboot or whatever of these films sounds absurd as how on earth can you reboot these films as they were in my opinion amazing and had such big visual effects and they must have had a rather large budget to make these films as well as getting the actors such as Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy and Nicholas Hoult.

Anyhew...according to this article over at 20th Century Fox the superhero film franchise is waning and it looks like the studio has pressed the reset button on this flagship franchise with Simon Kinberg who oversaw the original X-Men film franchise as writer and producer now working on a new script but insiders say that according to The Hollywood Reporter that this script has been written with these stars optimistically in mind.

But in doing this 20th Century Fox has a problem, Bryan Singer's "X-Men's: Day's Of Future Past" earned $748 million and "X-Men: Apocalypse" made only $544 million at the box office...so I think it's fair to say that the number of people going to see this movie dropped from this second in the new line of "X:Men" films and this probably means that people weren't as eager to see this follow up of Brian Singer's first rebooted "X:Men" film and probably either didn't go the first week that this film was released and went to the cinema when they could go or when their wasn't such a rush on at their local cinema, or they waited for it to be released on DVD, Blu-Ray or they waited for it to be available to stream on their devices at home.

So if this was to be rebooted how bigger budget do you give the filmmakers and how do you reboot this film franchise without just throwing lots of money at it and just filling the movie with lots of things blowing up, visual effects or action without it looking shit and having critics as well as audiences leaving the cinema or people watching it saying "that that was an hour of my life I'm never going to get back".

Also the new chairman at 20th Century Fox Stacey Snider has the headache of if they want to do this reboot with Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy and Nicholas Hoult as they've come to the ends of their 3 picture deal contracts then Fox better be prepared to stump up lots more cash than before as these actors won't come as cheap like before.

Also according to this same article the long talked about "X:Men" spin-off film "Gambit" that is set to star Channing Tatum has yet again stalled in its production as Doug Liman who was set to direct this film has already left the project leaving 20th Century Fox in desperate need to find a new director asap as well as the production that was set to start in August not happening.

David Leitch may be first in line to direct "Deadpool 2"...and there may be a 3rd already in the pipeline

I was just perusing the internet and this caught my eye on The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision pages...well I just thought after hearing the news that Donald Trump will be running America for the next 4 years I think we are all in need of a palate cleanser...or just something to forget that America will now be run by a giant orange monster.

Anyhew...you may or may not already know that "Deadpool" director Tim Miller won't be coming back for "Deadpool 2" as of tensions boiling over about how he wanted this second film to be more stylised so as to compete with the big blockbuster franchise films but everybody concerned from Ryan Reynolds to the writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick didn't want this...and the studio agreed with Ryan Reynolds and Co...so in the end Tim Miller walked, and according an article posted on The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision pages on October 28th 2016 insiders say that the studio and producers have been meeting with other potential candidates such as Drew Goddard (who directed "The Cabin In The Woods") and Magnus Martens (who is just one of the directors on Netflix's "Luke Cage"), but the name that remained consistently on top of this list is David Leitch who is one half of the directing and stunt team behind "John Wick".

But according to other sources of The Hollywood Reporter it's still to early to declare Leitch as a frontrunner as other meetings are still taking place and no official offer has been made and no negotiations are underway...but according to an article posted on The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision pages on the 9th November 2016 it looks like David Leitch is now in negotiations to fill this directors chair that 20th Century Fox so desperately needed to fill in order to get a sequel up and running for this surprise box office hit.

And according to this same article to show how much faith the studio has in this Ryan Reynolds lead franchise, 20th Century Fox is lining up a "Deadpool 3" already, which sources say will have filmmakers readying for a storyline that will involve another X-team...X-Force.
