Top Cat

You have probably already heard this fantastic piece of movie news thanks to Digital Spy but now there is a new and exclusive inside clip from the movie that I can't wait to see when it comes out over here in the UK on the 1st June.

You can now see the behind the scenes clip right now at Digital Spy...which if you ask me this clip which shows Top Cat sending out a signal to bring the gang together Choo-Choo,Brain, Fancy-Fancy, Benny and Spook now I have to say that after I saw this clip I instantly thought that this looks and sounds like the scene from the other legendary film 'Anchorman:The Legend Of Ron Burgundy' when Ron is blowing through a seashell to 'News Team Assemble!'...but instead of Brian Fantana saying that they've been there literally the whole time you've been here (in the sports bar that he has started to drink at when he gets fired from reading the news).

Vertigo Films and Anima Studios have been behind this little golden nugget of a 21st Century animation remake for cinema goers, and as I and I'm sure that I'm not alone here but I really really can't wait for this to come out and I will be the first in the queue for this and I think that any appointments I have that day will have to be cancelled as I think this is way more important.

The story for this film is that TC and the gang are back to their best but duh-duuh-duh....the gang are presented with a challenge when a new police chief wants to retire officer Dibble...Nooooo! We'll just have to see about that!

New Music!

I was perusing the internet the other day and this new video from Winsin and Yadel ft Jennifer Lopez called 'Follow The Leader', I've had a little listen to this and I think that this definitely would be on my playlist with other songs that I'd put on for when I was getting ready to go out at the end of the week. I do also have to say that 'The Sunday Times' website which I saw this video on was making out that Jennifer Lopez did all of the free running in this music video, but I probably think that you see her running and then you only see her from the back when all the free running scenes are happening so I think that it could be a stunt person with long hair.

I also think that with those tight fitting trousers that she wears in this video that she really is making me feel bad as I've been trying to slim for about 2 weeks now and I look nowhere as good she looks...Goddam J-Lo!

If your anything like my mum and are looking at those tattoos at the start of this video and are thinking are they real...NO THERE NOT, THERE FAKE! but as a lover of tattoos myself and thinking that they look really good (well some of them at least) and that they're just expressions of a person the dragon tattoo looks cool or now that I think about it she looks like she could be channeling 'Lizbeth Salander' ('Girl With The Dragon Tattoo' the original one not the American version).

Ever since Scott Mills first played this Nicki Minaj 'Starships' on Radio 1 I've been waiting for the day when the official video for this to come out, but all that I've so far found from trawling Youtube.com is either videos of just the lyrics or videos of people who have already seen this video (lucky devils!) and reviewing this. So at last now the music video has come out I can now see it and share it with you guys on this blog.

I also have to say that the orange frilled bikini that Nicki Minaj wears at the end of this video my sister found this exact one on the internet at a high street price and when I heard this I thought immediately of how 'Fabulous' puts in its magazine a picture of a celebrity wearing a really nice outfit and then they find a similar outfit but I always read this and think the outfit they have picked that's supposed to look similar looks nothing like the outfit they were trying to do.

Anyhew... I have to be honest when I first heard this I wasn't so sure about it but then it grew on me and now I absolutly love it and think that it sounds so summery and that if you were going to have a party of any kind you definitly need to have this on to get the party started!

Cheryl's 'Call My Name' I think this is ok but I think that her label has got Calvin Harris involved on this track to make a dance track where Cheryl doesn't have to sing much or there is much room for audiences to hear parts of the song that's flat...I think that the label don't want another 'Promise This' where it looked like she was struggling to dance with the rest of dancers that were provided, but I think that the costume that she was wearing really didn't help here, i.e. the stilletos that she had to wear to do the dancing.

But I think here to stop this from happening again the choreography has been toned down to just moving her feet backward and forward and finish the routine off with some arm movements.

Also I started watching this the other day and I thought that the outfit that she has on with the high heels, leopard print hot pants and the colourfull jacket she has on I thought that the camera shots taken from behind were stopped pretty shapelessly, I suppose this was because the camera shot showed both of her tattoos...now I love tattoos as much as the next person but her new one looks like there's something dripping down her leg! Not a Good Look!

I've already put this song on a previous blog post but I saw on the same website with the new Jennifer Lopez music video this new video for Justin Bieber's 'Boyfriend'...if you are wanting to see this please check this out.

Rita Ora ft Tinnie Tempah...this isn't exactly new as this is already being played all over on Radio stations but I absolutely love this song and I do have to admit I think that with having cars everywhere in what looks like an abandoned warehouse that this video is maybe a promotional video so as to get this song out and get the feedback from people as well as trying to get lots of money from it then they can go back to this one and make a new video that looks better.

This I'm soooo excited to show is the new video from Elissa Franceshi (the cousin of Josh the lead singer from the band 'You Me At Six') for her new song 'Becoming The Enemy'. I absolutely love Elissa's voice and I think if you haven't heard of her or even if you haven't got her amazing album 'Into The Light' I seriously urge you to get this immediatly as ever since I got this I play this non stop...seriously I put it on my TV's DVD player so that at any oppertunity I can listen to this morning noon or night...I even have to listen to this album to wake up to I love this album that much!

My favourite song on this is 'Rocks and Tears' I love the piano on this track and think that it would a perfect track to have in 'The Vampire Diaries' or even on 'Later Live...with Jools Holland' (which I also have to say is my favourite show for finding new artists).

The Dead Famous is another amazing band that I think you should take some time to have a listen to these songs of theirs as they are still unsigned and it's sooo frustrating both Elissa Franceshi and these guys aren't signed and they need to be as their songs are sooo needing to be on the radio for the world to hear them.

If it was up to me they would be and should be signed as well as being on 'Later Live...with Jools Holland' as they're songs particularly 'Superstar' is absolutely perfect for the summer and I have to say that I play all their songs at any opportunity be it when I should be a work and have access to my laptop I'll Youtube theses songs, after work, before I go to bed as I think this band is sooo fantastic.

If your a 'Go:Audio' fan like I was sort of,-I heard 'Made Up Stories' and had to tell everyone about it and I got a little bit obsessed with this track if I'm honest as I (this is quite sad) used to get in from school and time when this music video would come on Fizz TV (I heard it on this music channel first)- or an Elliot Minor fan like I was then you have to listen to these as Dan Heatherton from Elliot Minor is the drummer for this band.

If you love listening to new music you have to listen to these as they really do make any bad, mundane, rainy day shine!

I have to say though that I'm completely obsessed with this band and when I play one of my favourite songs of theirs which are 'Tell The World' and 'Superstar' and they seriously get stuck in my head but in a good way...but it makes any work really hard to do as all I want to do is listen to these guys!

I'll have one of these if you don't mind!

I've been reading recently in fashion magazines this morning that the 'it' look for this summer is the boho look,-so I'm thinking that this can mean only one thing... that there will be a hell of a lot of gypsy skirts, I say that there will be a hell of a lot of gypsy skirts as when LMFAO came out and started to where animal print trousers and brightly coloured shirt vests, and when Jessie J came out on 'The Voice' and wore a Beroc patterned shirt on the first show with shimmery brightly colured leggings the next day I went out with my sisters on a shopping trip and I went in New Look and TK Maxx and these things were all over on every aisle of the shop....and I don't mind saying this but it looked like New Look had gone made on animal prints as every pair of jeans, shorts, leggings, jackets, scarves etc had massive pints of zebras, leopards, parrots, toucans etc-, so if someone famous is pictured out wearing one of these then I wouldn't be suprised to be stuck in this same situation and see in every shop after this to have all manner of these skirts in all manner of styles or colours.

And just in time for this are these gorgeous bracelets from Kriss & Jules that have been brought to my attention thankfully by my favorite blog at the moment Idobelieveicamewithahat.com.

These are I have to agree with the Agony Uncle on this blog are:

"they’re a masculine (but not limited to men) addition to your wrist."

But if I'm honest as my style is I'd like to call it a bit boyish with looking at really cool stylishly dressed guys like Danny from the band the Script, Jared Leto (from the band 30 Seconds To Mars), Josh Franceshi (from the band You Me At Six ) etc but putting a girly/cool spin on it so I'd have to say that this would definitly go with this style or now that I think about it they fit with any style be it the boho, this style or the preppy look.

High-Style Hippies: Kriss & Jules Jewellery

And I do have to say that I do think now I think about it are of the moment as a lot of highstreet store that I go into on shopping trips do have a lot of animal shaped necklaces, bracelets and those pieces of jewellery that goes on the top part of your arm, i.e I mean that you have diamond lookalike tiger heads as bracelets, snake rings, skull rings or even the other day I was in my local Debenhams and there was a big box of shiny rings on the glass fronted display case where the jewellery section in the store was and they had all manner of rings in the shapes of tortoises, parrots, spiders and tigers...bare in mind though that these were full sized animal designs so it looked like when you tried these on that the parrot, spider or tiger took up your whole hand!

And if I'm honest these look very unique and as they use 925 sterling silver, crystals and agates as well as the threads being hand woven and the beading on these bracelets being handmade then I think its fair to call these bracelets one of a kind designs that look very pretty and would definitly liven up any outfit...and they look very special if I do say so myself!

I have to say so myself that if I had any money left over from having to make lists of what clothes I have and haven't got before I go on holiday I think I'd be going over to:

http://www.couturelab.com/browse/c1083.html?q=kriss+and+jules

and putting in an order for one of these preferably one of the frog ones...but that's just me but whatever one takes your fancy they're all fabulous!

Designing Bond: 50 years of Bond Style

All Bond fans will be very excited to know like I am that the Babican in London are as the Golden Anniversary of James Bond is coming up putting on an exhibition in collaboration with EON Productions to give an open all access look at everything Bond, this includes the tailoring and costumes worn by both the actors that have played James Bond over all the films and by the actors that have played the villains, the gadgets and weapons that were designed by special effects wizards Jon Stears and Chris Corbould, storyboards for each James Bond movie, set designs, automobiles, special effects, graphic design, motion graphics, the craft behind the stunts and the props used in each film.

EON Productions have for this approached Anthony Sinclair,-one of the fashion designers that was involved in creating the lavishly designed costumes worn in these films, which you might already know tailored the first ever James Bond suit for Sean Connery-, has requested that they faithfully reproduce the midnight blue evening suit that Sean Connery wore in the 1962 'Dr.No', as well as the infamous three piece suit worn in 'Goldfinger' and five other suits that were worn by Sean Connery in the film.

But there is one wrinkle in doing this...the clothes made for Sean Connery by Anthony Sinclair have long since disappeared and the records of the production of these clothes have also disappeared, so these 'faithful reproductions' specifications are having to be put together piece by piece with a little help from the curators of the exhibit and it's guest exhibit curator Oscar Winning costume designer Lindy Hemming who was one of the many names who were involved in designing the costumes for these James Bond films...and this starts with the fabric that was used.

As you already may know from a previous blog post that the fabric used for the midnight blue evening suit is a Barathea fabric which is a mixture of Mohair that's taken from the Angora goat and Merino sheep's wool...this makes the perfect tailor made evening suit as Merino New Zealand sheep create the finest fleece whereas the Mohair is a resistant, light weight fiber that is much more crease resistant than any other fabric that is used for suits.

The other day I was on Twitter and I saw on Mr. Porter.com that because of this it looks like midnight blue Tuxedo's and Evening Wear is coming back into fashion.

If you want to have a wander over to Mr.Porter.com to see the range of midnight blue suits and other wears here is the link:

http://www.mrporter.com/Shop/Search?keywords=midnight+blue+tuxedo&x=0&y=0

And here's a stylish fashion tip if you really want to make the suit look as dapper as Mr.James Bond himself, why not get a white linen handkerchief and fold it and have it just peeping out of the jacket pocket.

If your really excited like me about this exhibition at the Barbican, London and your thinking like me that you might pencil into your diary the dates for this, then make sure you keep the 6th July to 5th September 2012 free!

Gadgets that even 007 would want!

As a nod to Empire Magazine's James Bond 50th Anniversary issue I have decided to do a couple of posts as a kind of tribute to the fantastically great James Bond film franchise.

Since seeing 'Dr.No' I have been more than hooked on this franchise of films and if your not hooked on these films why on earth not? It has the suave sophisticated Conduit Cut Tailored Suite that was first cut and designed by Savile Row tailors Anthony Sinclair for none other than Sean Connery the very first James Bond and in my opinion the best Bond and they even designed for Sean Connery the midnight blue Barathea woven evening suit that he wore in 'Dr. No', the drop dead gorgeous Aston Martin cars that Bond drives with the exception of 'Tomorrow Never Dies' where the filmmakers changed cars and used BMW but the desired affect wasn't there, and I don't think that it went with the look that the filmmakers were trying to go for with creating the character of James Bond, the fantastic action sequences with all the amazing gadgets that Q has created like my favourite in 'Never Say Never' Q created the small helicopter called 'Nelly', and more importantly I don't think I can write about James Bond without mentioning how good the villains were in particular Blowfeld and that eponymous swivel round in a black leather chair with that fluffy white cat as well as Gold Finger and that famous line of 'No, Mr. Bond I expect you to die'.

I do have to say that since seeing the Aston Martin cars in the James Bond first film I have been totally and utterly in love with these cars and these cars for me are my dream car to own.

Anyhew...it seems that it's not just me that gets utterly swept up in everything to do with James Bond as it seems that Britain does too as thinking back to when Sean Connery decided to stop playing James Bond the rumour mill went wild with suggesting who would play the next James Bond, and this seems to be true even now as the rumour mill still seems to be suggesting that if Daniel Craig decides this one day that either Clive Owen (who's name has been thrown into the hat over and over again) or it could be Tom Hardy...but I think as a diehard Bond fan I would say not to listen to these rumours as Daniel Craig hasn't decided to stop playing James Bond yet so until he does no one should be deciding or suggesting anything yet!

And I just thought that it's not just this that the rumour mill goes wild on...it also has been going wild on who will get to sing on the opening credits as these credits have also become eponymous with the James Bond films as for example before 'Quantum Of Solace' came out everyone seemed to be suggesting that the late Amy Winehouse was going to do it but as all of you know Jack White and Alicia Keys did this and I have to say that this was a fantastic song that I now have thanks to that film on my Ipod because I loved it so much! And even now there were rumblings that Adele was going to sing this next one but then she got ill.

I have to say though at the moment I am loving the blog ibelieveicamewithahat.com and I think you Bond fans as well as everybody else should be reading this as there is everything on here from gadgets that even Q would think were fantastic, to fashion and style and I think the most important of all is the 'Ask The Agony Uncle' section where you get to ask those burning questions on what is the correct etiquette or way to handle those awkward social moments...like for example I went to my local HMV to pick up 'Mission Impossible:Ghost Protocol' DVD on Monday and the girl behind the cash desk started saying 'have you seen Mission Impossible 4? I thought it was really funny', now knowing me I probably would have handled this scenario very badly and just come out and said 'Well yes that's why I'm buying this on DVD'.

But really what do you say in this kind of situation or many more awkward situations that I find myself in on a daily basis.

So as an avid follower of fashion as well as being a fan of these films and seeing when I am out and about seeing gadgets and gizmos that are impractical and inevitably I have to be be told by either my parents or whoever I am with at the time that that thing that I really want is either ridiculous, impractical or it looks stupid.  I saw these and thought that these gadgets were quite cool but these could be seen as quite Bond-y gadgets...such as Ravi Ratan designed sterling  silver cufflinks with 2GB storage flashdrive USB stick that has the ability to create it's own hotspot so as well as looking cool they could come in handy for either uploading or downloading some sensitive documents...or you could just get these so as to indulge your inner child and pretend you yourself are James Bond.

The first picture is a diamond shaped light-bulb that has been designed by Eric Therma  and I do , but if have to say that I think that this although The Agony Uncle from idobelieveicamwithahat.com has labelled this as impractical it does look cool, I wouldn't mind it being my light-bulb and it definitely livens up the ordinary light-bulb and its quite a good talking point over a martini shaken not stirred or even a vesper (sorry for the pun but I couldn't resist this but the best Vesper if you want to try these then go and take a poddle on down to 'Lounge Lover' cocktail bar in Soho).

Another one of these gadgets that idobelieveicamewithahat.com has on another of its many of its posts is an amazing en&is ceramic bugle that is hand-fired and seated on a timber tripod-and I just thought these different coloured bugles (comes in white, black and gold), look a bit Swedish in design as they look very sleek, very modern but very retro and funky-.

These bugles are designed to use either an Iphone or Ipod Touch's loudspeaker and amplifies the the sound without the aid of electricity...very good for having pool parties, when your in your bedroom getting ready for going out or even when your in the kitchen and your listening to music when your cooking, as well as looking after the environment without using electricity while still going back to English heritage roots which I do have to say that every time I see one of these in a film I always think they look really nice be it very old worldly and very traditional.

Ok so these don't look very James Bond but they are very cool!

I have posted a picture of Doomed skull shot glasses...now these you might be thinking 'Why would you want these?' well these are very different and well I think a little bit quirky and I do have to admit that they are really novelty items... and I really don't think these could qualify as being Bond-y as I think of the same argument of the BMW cars being used over Aston Martins, if you saw Daniel Craig using these shot glasses to barrel back some of whiskey instead of a crystal sophisticated classic looking tumblers to drink his drinks then you'd be thinking ' Gosh, Bond has really let himself go with taking shots instead of sipping away on a nice cool drink'.

But you could use these for this unusually shaped vodka bottle that has been made and founded by none other than acting legend Dan Ackroyd and Jon Alexander:

http://crystalheadvodka.com/about

But I was seeing this bottle and I thought even though this would bottle would get a few heads turning and asking 'Where did you get that from' which is how all good conversations are started, I was thinking 'How on earth do you get your hands around that to pick it up?'

But This latest gadget the ' 6 Pack Donkey Bike Bag' is definitly a Bond-y gadget as you may or may not already know but this time the makers of 'SkyFall' have managed to strike up a sponsorship deal with Heineken Beer...so this will mean that somewhere in this film Daniel Craig will have to crack a bottle of this open instead of partaking in his usual tipples of Vespers, Vodka Martinis or Brandy, and as you can guess this has already got some avid Bond fans backs up...but I do have to say that I have to be one of these people that doesn't think this is a very good idea as I don't know how your going to make James Bond look suave, sophisticated, debonnair and all the things that we associate with James Bond whilst Daniel Craig is swigging away on one of these.

But it could come in handy if he did want to take this while he was on the run or during an action sequence.

New Bourne Legacy Stills!

The other day I saw this on I Am Rogue's website as well as seeing another still with one of the newcomers to the film Edward Norton and Jeremy Renner on MTV.com, this just got me more exited about the film.

This still from MTV.com doesn't give anything away though in the form of what the film will be like but it does look like whatever is happening in the still though it's intense. The other scanned still that came though to iamrogue.com  courtesy of Hey U Guys.co.uk does offer a little bit more. I think as it does suggest that there are going to be some more cool action sequences more like the one in 'The Bourne Ultimatum', (if your not sure which this one is I'm on about here, fear not and read on as I'll help you fill in the blanks) it's the one where Matt Damon is on a motorbike in Tangiers, India with Nicki who used to work in Treadstone as the person who organised logistics and he has to save her from being killed by another assasin called 'Dev' and in the process he jumps from one house's balcony to another through the balcony windows and runs through the house to then run on the roof of other houses to find 'Dev' is so he can stoop him from killing Nicki.

So I think it's fair to say that Tony and Dan Gilroy have tried to keep the same tone for the film as Matt Damon's Jason Bourne films had in them,-this being that the writing was slick, clever and there was intense, slick, clever fight scenes as well as action scenes, especially with the fight scene in 'The Bourne Identity' where Jason Bourne and Marie went to his Paris apartment and there was an assasin by the code name of monkey who tried to kill Jason Bourne but Bourne used a BIC Biro to defend himself before the guy jumped off a balcony to fall onto the street below.-.

So it looks like writer and director Tony Gilroy has tried to make a film with the existing cast members of: Joan Allen (Pam Landy), Scott Glenn (Ezra Kramer), Albert Finney (Dr. Albert Hirsch), David Strathairn (Noah Vosen) and Corey Johnston (Wills Noah's secretary) and with some new faces: Jeremy Renner (Aaron Cross), Oscar Isaacs (no.3), Stacey Keach (Turso), Rachel Weisz (Martha) and Edward Norton (Byer) that can stand alone from Matt Damon's 'Bourne' films but with all the slick intensiveness of the original films.

Jeremy Renner and Edward Norton in "The Bourne Legacy"

Anyhew...I digress if you want to find out more about the film then why not head on over to either the official website:

http://www.thebournelegacy.net/

Or go to the Bourne Legacy UK Facebook website...now here is where I am very confused as you may be wondering like myself when this will be coming into UK cinemas as it always frustrates me that films are shown across the pond in USA first and we here in the UK have to wait ages for it or for the film to come out on Blu:Ray or DVD!

Well thanks to IMDb I can now tell you when the UK release date is for this film, the 13th August-which I might add is one of the films that I can't wait to see as at the moment I can't stop watching the trailer for this as it looks sooo good-.

And I also have to say that if you are as big a fan of these films then I suggest you take a few minutes out of your day and watch 'Bourne Vivaldi',  as I watched this it took me right back to those films and got me even more excited about 'The Bourne Legacy' than before as it reminded me of the first film and how tense and exciting this was, with the quick hand to hand combat fighting and how good Matt Damon was at playing Jason Bourne's character of being part of a program named Treadstone that was suffering from amnesia after being shot at and falling into the Mediterranean Sea and then only knowing that he can '...run flat out for 1/2 hour before his hands start to shake...', tie knots, speak different languages etc but he has no idea who he is, and every time he thinks he's getting closer to finding out who he is with finding out he is an assassin he just finds out that he is further away from the truth...with finding out  about Treadstone but not knowing who or what this is and what it has to do with him.

I can't wait for this now I know what the release date for this film is and I can't wait forthe many more stills and other things that will enevtiably get leaked before this film comes out!

Sin City 2 is officially coming out!

Yeeeeeeeeees! I am such a big fan of the first film and when I heard this was actually true after the rumour mill had gone into overdrive saying for ages that Robert Rodriguez was playing around with the idea of making a 'Sin City 2', I was sooooo excited as I absolutly loved the first Sin City...and lets face it why wouldn't you love the first 'Sin City'.

But now ComingSoon.net has now reported that Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller are teaming up again to produce for Dimension Films 'Sin City: A Dame To Kill'.

And as an explanation to fans Robert Rodriguez has said that:

"I have wanted to make re-team with Frank Miller and return to the world he created since the day we wrapped the original, but we have felt a duty to the fans to wait until we had something truly exceptional that would meet and exceed what have become epic expectations . A Dame To Kill will certainly be worth the wait".

Lets hope so because I don't know about you but this was like nothing I'd seen before!

And to show how seriously the team behind this film are about pushing 'A Dame To Kill' to come out as soon as possible casting has already got underway and it's reported that many of the original cast are set to return which is probably why the original film was so fantastic as I don't think that that there are many movies that you'd see where you have the likes of Clive Owen, Micky Rouke, Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, Briney Murphy, Elijiah Wood etc.

Also not only does it look like everyone concerned wants this to get underway as soon as possible, but it looks like that this has got some serious heavy weights added to it with not only Robert Rodriguez's team of Aaron Kaufman and LLiana Nikolic going to produce but Bob and Harvey from The Weinstein Company, Adam Fields from Miramax and Frank Miller will be executive producers and Alexander Rodnyansky, Sergei Bespalov and Stephan L'Hereux will also  produce 'Sin City:A Dame To Kill'. There is also the added heavy weight of Acadamy Award winner Willian Monahan who wrote the screenplay for 'The Departed' will write the screenplay with Frank Miller who wrote the graphic novel that this film will be based on...so by the looks of this list of people attached to 'A Dame To Kill' everyone concerned wants this film to really pack a punch and stand up to the original.

But apart from this the script and story have been kept a closely guarded secret...so I have a feeling that there might be a few surprises in store if this is a secret or it could just be that this story has not been decide yet, but I'd like to think that when you see this that the story is a direction that you wouldn't think the film could go in.

So with Bob Weinstein, co-chairman of The Weinstein Company saying this about it:

"Audiences have been clamoring for Sin City 2 with Robert and Frank for a long time and trust me, it will be worth the wait."

It sounds like that all concerned are going to try really hard to make this film really really good for the fans...so until this comes out we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed that this 'Sin City:A Dame To Kill' lives up to all of the hype that has already been said about it.
