NEW Rolls-Royce EWB Ghost

Rolls Royce Ghost

This is the new Extended Wheelbase Ghost that sounds like to me much more mysterious than the Phantom...but at the same time like the Aston Mamrtin V8's it keeps it's original 'period features' as al the 'Kirstie-Allsopps' show's on TV say these days.

This is a good thing I think as it looks modern and swidh enough to appeal to those who love Rolls-Royce cars as for me when I think about a Rolls I always think luxurable comfort...big and swish looking on the outside with it being big and comfy on the inside.

But as always you just know that whoever is driving these either has lots of money, or just thinks they have and thinks they are Lord Allen Suger in the Aprrentice.

And this is true when the trunk space is enormous says Top Gear, with now brace yourselves Rolls-Royce lovers or anyone who wants to buy this new modern looking car...there are packages or add ons if you like to make you want to act like Big in 'Sex and the City' and never leave the car again to go outside...these are:
  • the £1,224 wi-fi hotspot
  • £3,867 electronically adjustable seats
  • £4,030 full DVD kit
  • £1.846 two picnic tables
I don't think in this case my daddy can afford to buy me one of these...but why on earth if you want to go at your own pace on the roads of Britian would you need two picnic tables in the back of your car.

To me this sounds the most stupidest things to be options on a car, because this car sounds like it would be better if you kept it parked in the front of your drive at home took everything you need to work out of your office and just sit in this as I'm sure along with these adjustable seats there is air con so and there is if you get the DVD option easy ways to get destracted and it's a car so you could if you wanted take your office out and pop on over to the nearest McDonalds and use the picnic table to get work done but also get a bit of lunch.

Then you have the best of both worlds...but on second thoughts the car might get trashed while being parked...if only there was an option like Bonds on the BMW in 'Tomorrow Never Dies' where there is a security setting inside the car that secures it from any attacks from a sledgehammer from guns etc...well you never know what your going to get these days down at the local McDonalds.

And as Top Gear has said in their review of the cars drive perforance, that:

"You don't so much drive the Ghost as waft pleasantly along, isolated from the world by the air suspension."

So this will be good for all the people who want to pretend that they are Lord Allen Sugar, but on second thoughts when your in a Rolls-Royce you don't really want to be driving around at full pase like a boy racer, you just want to be gentle with one of these.

And, this might come in handy for people as Top Gear say that:

"The system is so sensitive that it can tell if someone in the back moves from one side of the car to the other, and will adjust istself accordingly".

Nice!

But this will set you back £25,000 more than the standard Rolls-Royce...so deep pockets are requored here.

Genna Marabese...you have to listen to this!

I heard Genna Marabese on Facebook yesterday...and I really think this is amazing! If you want to hear more of her sound which is inspired by The Velvet Underground, Damon Albarn, David Bowie, Graham Coxon, Regina Spektor (if unlike me you haven't heard of this artist, why not! anyhew I have put up my favourite song by her for oyu to have a little listen to), radiohead etc.

I have to say that although I love 'We Are Animals' but my favourite two songs of hers are on her Facebook Page 'Masquerade' and 'Deal With The Devil'. These two songs you have to have a listen to these aloong with her other song 'Walls'.

Thank god I have just found these songs as I always when it's really quiet in the office and nothing is really going on I just sit back and create a Youtube playlist or just play some good tunes that take my mind off work...I know this sounds bad but I am really easily distracted when I have not much work to get through in the day.

I really hope that someone or any Radio 1 hosts or Jools Holland who like to pick up new talent so as to make sure the world hears these great tunes picks up these amazing songs because I think the world really does need to hear these as I can see these going big like Hurts did when their amazing song 'Wonderful Life'...meaning that just listening to one amazing song like 'Deal With The Devil' and people will go nuts for it.

Please Please Please go and have a little listen to Genna Marabese as it is with all artists that I put up on this blog if you blink then you will definitly miss it!

New! Land Rover Evoque convertible

Range Rover Evoque convertible concept

I know I know your probably looking at this right now thinking the same thing as me the first time I saw this concept car from Land Rover that is going to be shown off at the Geneva car show thinking it looks a bit odd...it looks like it should be a four wheel drive Land Rover but this time it looks like a science experient that Land Rover have done and are going to be sitting back at this car show next month with fingers crossed hoping for a good reaction from all who enter the show.

But this car has with it a 2.2 litre diesel engine with 150bhp and 190bhp as well as 240bhp 2.0 litre petrol engine.

So this then sounds like it could solve the ever common problem of you get into a car and your mind is so focused on what your going to do that day that you completely forget thar when you go to a petrol station  to fill up the car that your car doesn't take diesel but in fact takes petrol or visa versa.

So as this is the only details that is out yet then we'll have to wait till it hits the Geneva show...but it has been said that if the reaction is good then this off roader could be out in a couple of years.

NEW! Lyonheart K

This is the new renamed 'Lyonheart K' Classic Cars Factory, a Swiss company who are going to make this a tribute to Jaguar's E-type, but it will be manufactured by ' Lyonheart Cars Ltd' which has been founded just for this car to be made.

To me this looks like a Jag from the front but they've smashed this together with a Porsche 911 at the back mixed with a Ford Mustang at the side.

But now I have seen the cockpit area inside the car and although I was originally on the fence about this car and being very hesitant to even touch this car with a barge pole because when it comes to cars I like a car that has an attractability about it...unlike this car!

But I think what this car lacks in attractability outside it makes up for inside with this cream interior and wood panneling dashboard...now I see where the tribute to the Jaguar E- type comes in as I've only ever sat in an old Jaguar once and I do have to say that Jaguar do love a bit of wood panelling.

But with this interior it looks like your sitting inan old but not a Jaguar. And to be honest if you are in the market for a Jaguar (and this may be just me) but won't you just want to splash the cash to buy that Jag that you want rather than something that doesn't really look like one on the outside but does on the inside.

That is just stupid to buy a car on the basis of the interior, if you want to do that then you might as well as just red the interior of your house with cream furniture and wood pannelled rooms...but this I'd advise against as I have just had a mental image of a room that has all of these and it doesn't look good...it lloks like something out of the '80's.

Anyhew...there is going to be a 5.0 litre V8 engine, carbon fibre panels and an aluminium chassis.

Nice but I still think this car is for me not my cup of tea.

But this £415,000 is not doing anything to get my excitement going about this car and it still won't convince me to buy this...so sorry to the CEO of Classic Car Factory Robert Palm who said that:

"We want to make the 'Made in England' label into a truthful concept, not just a statement . Every part of the Lyonheart K is developed, engineered and hand-built in Covetry, England".

NEW Updated Aston Martin V8 2012

When I first read about these new updates from Aston Martin's V8 range I was very excited...like a kid in a sweet shop! I can't tell you how excited I was especially when I saw this new Aston Martin convertible.

I do have to say though that as smooth, sophisticated and elegantly designed as are all the Aston Martin cars I was finding it very hard to choose which one of these new V8's were my favourite's, I was thinking as I am a massive fan of 'Harry Hill's TV Burp' that what should just happen is what always happens on that show when you can't choose one thing over another....FIGHT!

But then I remebered I am not a multimillionaire with oodles of cash to buy both and let them fight it out amongst themselves...and as I love Aston Martin's sooo much I really couldn't sit on the sidelines and watch anything happen to these cars that would end up with either of them getting a scratch, dent or bulge in the tyres.

This though although the baby supercar in all of Aston Martin's loooooong range of supercars that look like whatever you are doing that second in time just forget about it and take the time to look at these...and if you ever get the chance to drive one then you just have to cancel all your meetings for that day and walk out the house and just get in that Aston Martin.

According to Top Gear nothing has been changed in this new look V8 except for a few minor alterations here and there such as the new seven speed Sportsshift II auto box which is optional and features closer ratios, a lower final drive and a quicker redefined shift quality.

The brakes are now 380mm two- piece ventilated cast-iron front discs and six piston callipers.

Aso the lower bumper with aerosplinters gets a larger intake of cold air to the engine, (this is a bit of good news all round as anyone who has one of these or wants one like me can drive these on the open road when no one is around and there's a good bit of open road in front of you and you just want to act like a big kid and pretend that your in a James Bond film in the middle of a high speed car chase) it's good to know that you can do this and the car will not over heat it's self while you are acting like a big kid.

It's good to see that the engineers at Aston Martin have thought of everything as well as well as inside the cars there are fitted sculpted 'race-derived' air sills.

This surely shows classic car craftsmanship at it's best...but it's nice to see that they've put in things to these new V8's to finally win over car fans that are still not entirely convinced of Aston Martin as well as keeping everything there that Aston Martin lovers like me already love about these cars.

Before I forget I think before you go ahead and want to buy yourself one of these babies you need to really think 'Have I got enough money in the bank' as prices for these start from £84,995 and rise to a staggering £99,995.

NEW Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse

I saw this on Top Gear's website a couple of days ago and this to me looks very swish!...but I may be biased in this opinion as I am more than a bit of a car nut.
Bugatii I can only assume are going to be taking this to the one stop shop International Motor Show and Accessories Show in Genevea as they are amongst the most prestigious names in the car world going to be exhibiting.

I have to say though as I am a massive Aston Martin fan and have been forever,-well since I first saw the DB9 in James Bond- that this looks a really supped up sports car and I think that I would be gauking at one of these just as much as if I saw an Aston Martin rolled up next to me in the traffic queque, but I think this car would have me feeling very envious, and I think I'm alright in saying that this new Bugatii Grand Sport Vitesse wins hands down and puts many cars in the shade and with all of it's parts being almost doubled in size to give this car what it needs in terms of leaving every single cars with nothing but a skid mark on the road and making the car looking very 'I have to have one of those ones now!'.

This doubling up of everything in the Bugatii has been attributed to as the President of Bugatti, Wolfgang Durheimer says:

'The rapid success of the Super Sport convinced us to increase the performance of the Bugatti roadster...'

He went on to say:

'Our engineers worked hard to demonstrate that Bugatii is able to constantly redefine the boundaries of what is technically feasable'.

And this can be seen in the 16 cylnder engine that youd normally find in one of these bad boys having it's intercoolers and turbochargers being enlarged and as you can see the whole body work and undercarriage or chassy has of course been beefed up to hold the extra weight of this new look Bugatti.

As you can see Bugatti is just one of the many car companies that will be showing their newest car or even their out of this world concept cars...now I've had a little look at some of these concept cars and I do have to say that some of them look like as you can imagine like someone has got a group of kids holed up in a room got them hyped up on fizzy drinks and sweets then given them a pad and a pencil then told them to imagine what they would want to be driving in if they could go for a drive in absolutly anything at all in the world.

The Hunger Games Official Song!

A couple of days ago I was sitting down watching music channels when the official song for 'The Hunger Games' came on...this I have to say made me hugely excited as this was a song from Taylor Swift ft Civil Wars.

I am thanks to getting Civil Wars album for Christmas a massive fan of theirs and this really excited me but I was a bit disappointed when I heard this whole song for the first time and the whole song was sung by Taylor Swift...this is meant with no offence to Taylor Swift fans as although there are a lot of her songs that do get stuck in my head once I've heard them which is very annoying but I do have to say that even though I may be not a massive fan of her music I have found myself on occasion tapping my foot along to songs of hers.

Anyway...as I said I was disappointed that Civil Wars weren't singing the song themselves as if you have like me seen them on 'Later Live...with Jools Holland' singing acoustic 'Barton Hollow' which I have to say on this performance of the song it was AMAZING! or if you have their album and have like me played it none stop then you'll know how bloody brilliant they are on their own.

But I just thought as I haven't heard any of their songs as yet on radio stations just on 'Later Live' and in the background on an episode of 'The Vampire Diaries' then this team up with Taylor Swift isn't probably a bad one as she is a big name that is already recognised in the music industry that has a grammy award and has a probably big base of fans that if they heard this track they would without doubt want to listen to it and as the song doesn't have too much of a Civil Wars stamp on it then these fans aren't going to be hating the track too much therefore it is quite a good way for other people who aren't such massive fans of 'Civil Wars' or who have never heard their music before (which I have to say why on earth would you never hear this amazing bands music before now!) to get to like their music but I do have to say though that I thought 'Barton Hollow' was the best way to get people to become fans of it and get them automatically to ring into Radio 1 and request it but even if people ring in to request this song then that's an automatic play for 'Civil Wars' which is no bad thing.

Here is the video for your perusal:
