Stephen King's "IT" teaser trailer is finally here!

I just saw this as I was perusing the internet yesterday and I can't believe it,-no pun intended-, it is finally here...the NEW! teaser trailer for Stephen King's "IT" has finally arrived.

Every time so far when I go onto any internet websites to see if there is any new news about this new adaption of Stephen King's "IT" all I've been getting is loads of info that I've already written about on here like who the director is , how the actor that was going to play the lead role of Pennywise left and Bill Skarsgard is now going to play the lead role of Pennywise the evil clown, and that loads of film critics have been going to see this trailer already and then describing how it's really scary and that readers of their website or fans of Stephen King's novel will love this new adaption...but frustratingly they've not put up on their websites the actual teaser trailer and instead just say we the readers will just have to wait...that is until now...thank god!

Here's the YouTube link to have a little look at it if you dare:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYZ3HtYV0Zc

If you've read this novel by Stephen King you already know the story but if like me your not familiar with the story of "IT" then I'll try and fill in the blanks:

In the 1990's this novel of Stephen Kings was made into a TV miniseries where the actor Tim Curry played the title role of Pennywise.

Stephen King's "IT" follows the exploits of seven children who form "The Losers Club" to get to the bottom of the disappearance of their clubs leader Bill's little brother George "Georgie" Denbrough as well as more and more children mysteriously going missing in their hometown of Derry, Maine all of which have gone missing in mysterious circumstances, all people involved with these kids going missing saying that they saw a clown in a silver clown outfit though, this if you've read this book will know is Pennywise an ancient evil entity that terrorizes children by manifesting itself in to the fears and phobias of anybody but primarily manifests itself in the form of a clown to attract its preferred prey of young children.

I've just read the Wikipedia page on Stephen King's "IT" and I have to say that after reading it I still don't get where the hell the creepy looking house that might as well have a giant "DON'T GO IN THERE!" sign painted across it, as everybody knows that in horror films if there's a weird creepy looking house or building in the film then you probably shouldn't go in as that's where all the bad, most horrific things are going to happen in, fits in this new adaption of Stephen King's "IT"...or I just thought whilst I was writing this if this isn't in the original story then maybe this might have been added to make this even more of a fright fest horror than it already is...if you ask me though if you try and squeeze more things than needs to be just for the sake of more thrills and more scares and it doesn't add anything to the story or the film than it might just turn people who want to pay money to go see this film at their local cinema off as it might just look false and viewers might just be left feeling disappointed as the whole entire time they're sat in the cinema asking themselves "Why the hell did the director do this?, why did they do that?" and they might just think that the director has used too many things like this creepy looking house that is soooo stereotypical of a horror film and that you could definitely see something bad happening there, and therefore they'd feel completely robbed as they were expecting a really good film as the novel of Stephen King's is supposed to be scary enough but they shouldn't have even bothered so this then gets transferred into less people going to the cinema which means less money for the film.

I also just thought that this weird, creepy house in this teaser trailer looks exactly like the cartoon house in Gorillaz new video for their new song "Saturn Barz (Spirit House)". But that's for another blog post.

And more of an opportunity for the film to get spoofed into a "Scary Movie" film.

Anyhew...This will be released in cinemas in the UK according to IMDb.com on 8th September 2017. But if you want to find out what the release date is in your country then go to IMDb.com go to the "IT" 2017 page and underneath the title of this page there will be a  release date click on this and a list of release dates for different countries will come up.

"Venom" is finally going to get a movie of it's own!

You may or may not have heard that the villain of Spider-Man that you may or may not have seen in Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man 3" film that takes over Peter Parker's suit and turns it black and then takes over Topher Grace when he follows Peter Parker to a building and when him and Harry Osbourne managed to trap it using steel's from a building site as it hates noise but then gives Topher Grace fang like sharp teeth...has for a long time now had the people in Hollywood trying to develop this into a film of it's own and now it seems that Columbia Pictures has now set a release date of October 5th 2018.

Thank god! That's all I'll say as this has been going on for an aaaaaaaage now.

Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner have according to The Hollywood Reporter's website recently turned in a draft for this film as Dante Harper has turned in a previous draft although according to The Hollywood Reporter's website there is no director for this yet.

Well with this date Columbia Pictures better find a director soon with there now being a release date announced for this movie...and it better be a good one as also according to The Hollywood Reporter's website this was suppose to be the release date for  Sony's "The Girl In The Spider's Web" movie adaption to the follow up of "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" series of films and books which will be directed by Fede Alverez and has now been bumped up to October 19th 2018.

And also now Warner Bros. according to The Hollywood Reporter's website has also changed the release date of its "Aquaman" comic book movie from October 5th 2018 to December 18th 2018.

Amy Pascal will produce this comic book movie for Columbia Pictures along with Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach who will also according to The Hollywood Reporter's website also be overseeing this project.

Also according to The Hollywood Reporter's website Columbia Pictures hopes to make "Venom" a franchise.

Mission Impossible 6 news!

All seems quiet on this front of late...until today!

I came across this headline on The Hollywood Reporter's website Henry Cavill who you may or may not recognise from "Superman vs. Batman" has joined the cast of "Mission Impossible 6" along with Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner and Rebecca Ferguson in this film which is according to The Hollywood Reporter's website set to be released in theatres in 2018.

A Matrix Reboot...has the world gone potty?!

I saw this headline the other day on The Hollywood Reporter's website and I couldn't believe this...like with the news of a "Gladiator 2" why would you want to make another one of this amazing set of films you don't mess with a classic everybody knows that...but I do understand why filmmakers would want to either make another one of these films or a reboot of these films because they made lots and lots of money the first time around making it.

According to The Hollywood Reporter's website Warner Bros. sees a model for "The Matrix" like Disney and Lucas Film have done with "Star Wars", so this could mean that there could be a prequel that features younger versions of Neo and co.

But also according to The Hollywood Reporter's website this idea hasn't got everybody on board at the studio as according to this article on it's website some at Warner Bros. consider this title among it's most sacrosanct titles such as "Cassablanca", and according to this same article on The Hollywood Reporter's website it was Joel Silver who produced the original trilogy of films that first approached Warner Bros. with the idea of mining "The Matrix" for a potential new film, but as he gave up all his interests in all his films to Warner Bros. for $30m in 2012  he gave away any big decisions or ideas regarding this film a long time ago so if anyone has ideas of this magnitude to do with this film title it should be either Warner Bros. or the Wachoski's not him, and he has a strained relationship with the Wachowski's along with being know for having budget control issues so Warner Bros. are ordinarily said to be wary of giving him any meaningful role should there be another film of this...and according to The Hollywood Reporter's website the Wachowski's are said to hold much more meaning to fans than the producer.

But despite not everyone being on board at the film studios with this idea Warner Bros. are in the early stages according to The Hollywood Reporter's website of developing a rebooted "The Matrix" and their in talks with Zack Penn to write this rebooted version.

And also according to The Hollywood Reporter's sources there is potential interest in casting Michael B. Jordan before this reboot gets underway.

But you never know in Hollywood so if this casting doesn't happen then The Hollywood Reporter's website says that it is more than likely that Warner Bros. will look elsewhere to attract an A-lister and a younger cast as at this point nothing else is known about who would direct this rebooted version of "The Matrix" as its not yet known how big, small or what if any role the Wachowski's would have with Warner Bros. or this new rebooted version of "the Matrix", but Warner Bros. would at least expect a blessing from the to Wachowski sisters.

I think your going to need to sit down for this one...Ridley Scott wants to make a "Gladiator 2"

I read this the other day on Den Of Geek's website and I have to say I still don't know what to make of it...is it a joke or has Ridley Scott lost his mind?

I know this sounds a little bit harsh to say about Ridley Scott who is a directing legend but seriously?! a "Gladiator 2", and also according to Den Of Geek's website and Entertainment Weekley's website Ridley Scott wants Russell Crowe back to make it with him.

HAS RIDLEY SCOTT LOST HIS MARBLES!....IS THIS A JOKE!

I think I'm going to need to sit down for this along with perhaps a very strong drink of something because this to me just seems unbelievable...why or how could you possibly make another "Gladiator"?.

I do realise that I might be overreacting to this news just a bit but this film is I have to be honest one of my all time favourite films and although it won five Oscars and was awesome and how can you replicate something that amazing or even make another film like that because I thought that everything was settled and put to bed at the end of the film...if your like me and have watched this film then you know what I mean but if you haven't seen it why the hell not? if not I'll fill in the blanks for you, Commadeus who was played by Joaquim Pheonix kills his father Marcus Aurelius in order to get the thrown and because he was mad that his father wanted Maximus to take the thrown giving power back to Rome not him...and he killed Maximus's wife and child and tried to kill him because of this but also because he wouldn't continue to be leader of the armies of the north and wanted to go home as promised by Marcus Aurelius, and because he wouldn't let it go that he thought Commadeus's father had been murdered and not just died in his sleep, so Maximus becomes a slave who was sold to Oliver Reed who trains him to become a Gladiator and he then meets Commadeus in Rome in the Coliseum and plots with Lucinda Commadeus's sister and a politician who also thinks that the politicians in charge of Rome are corrupt to kill Commadeus, but Commadeus finds out about this plot and threatens to kill Lucinda if she doesn't give him an heir or if she even looks at him in a manner that displeases him. He then arrests the politician that was part of this plot as well as the other Gladiators but he chains Maximus up and stabs him in the side but still wants him ready to fight him in the Coliseum so that Commadeus can kill him but they both end up dead.

So you can see what I mean by saying that how on earth could you do another "Gladiator" film, but according to Ridley Scott who was at the Nat Geo Further Base Camp festival who was there to promote yet another "Alien" film,-doesn't this series of films ever die!- "Alen:Covenant" that:

"I know how to bring him back"

He went on to say that:

"I was having this talk with the studio-'but he's dead'. But there is a way of bringing him back. Whether it will happen I don't know. Gladiator was 2000, so Russell's changed a little bit. He's doing something right now but I'm trying to get him back down here. "

So it sounds like to me Ridley Scott is saying if there is a will from film studios to make a "Gladiator 2" then he'll make it and that he wants to do this with Russell Crowe.

Suicide Squad 2 gets a new writer!

I was just perusing the internet this morning and I saw this on The Hollywood Reporter's website and just had to put it up here.

You may or may or may not already know but David Ayer who wrote and directed the first "Suicide Squad" has now left the director's chair and is instead doing another film project with Margot Robbie,- who played Harley Quinn in the first movie-, called "Gotham City Sirens" which will focus on the female villains of the DC comic book universe.

And you may or may not also know that Warner Bros. were even seeing if Mel Gibson would direct this sequel which according to The Hollywwood Reporter's website is a priority for the studio...but this as I thought hasn't come to anything and apparently the studio is still trying to get a director for this thing...but also according to The Hollywood Reporter's website Warner Bros. are in negotiations to land Adam Cozard who wrote "The Legend Of Tarzan" which also starred Margot Robbie to write this sequel.

But if you ask me I don't see why Warner Bros. don't just get David Ayer to do this sequel...it would in my opinion make a whole load more sense to continue with him as he did the first movie and for Warner Bros. he would probably make the sequel along the same vein as the first film, even if he asked for more money to direct the sequel but after the film grossed $745 million worldwide for a film that wasn't expected to do anything as it was slated by a lot of people, critics included why the hell wouldn't you raise his pay?...if their was a new director in the chair who knows what this film would be like they'd probably want to change it, do it more stylist or put way more action in it and they'd probably want a lot more money than the studio might be willing to pay which could mean that this could be dragged out with the studio trying to negotiate down how much they want to pay the new director which would mean that the film would get put back and everyday this doesn't get made the more money the studio looses... and therefore the new way the new director wants to make this film could loose a lot more opinions on this film and that could mean Warner Bros. loose out on making the big bucks for themselves if there were a lot less people wanting to go the cinema to see this sequel...but then again now I think about this if Warner Bros. which the studio must have already have contracted him to get Jared Leto back as The Joker or even got back Margot Robbie as both of those actors and actress were really good in this film then this could be the only reason that people go to see this sequel if there were to be a new director sitting in David Ayer's seat.

Apart from this though their isn't much else in the way of other details on this sequel.

Stop what you are doing right now...Deadpool 2 cast update!

I was perusing the internet yesterday and I saw this headline on Entertainment Tonight's website and I just had to have a read of this.

According to both Entertainment Tonight's website and with a little help from Ryan Reynolds' Twitter page Deadpool 2 has cast Zazie Beetz who you may or may not recognise from the TV show "Atlanta" as the mutant mercenary Domino or Neena Turman who according to Entertainment Tonight's website has an intricate part in the Deadpool mythos especially in relation to the character Cable...but other than this it's not yet known how much of her Domino's backstory will be kept or put into this film.

In case your like me and aren't familiar with the character Domino's backstory according to Empire.com's website she was part of a government breeding programme to create the perfect weapon, but she was considered a failure even though she showed she had the ability to manipulate probability in her favour so she became a mercenary with exceptional marksmanship ability and hand-to-hand combat ability. Apart from this Domino is also according to Empire.com's website a frequent member of X-Force where she joins forces with Cable and Deadpool.

Other than this update and the teaser trailer that you may or may not have already seen,- if you've not seen it yet then here is the link you need in case you want to take a gander at it:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWAN0JJmygQ

But if you have already seen this trailer then here is the link in case you want to see it again. There doesn't seem to be any other news on any other actors and actresses being cast to star in this film nor does it seem that there is any other updates on whether or not T.J Miller or Morena Baccarin will return to reprise their roles in this sequel.

David Leitch will be directing this sequel along with Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese who wrote the screen play for this, Drew Goddard will write the script for this, Rob Liefeld, Fabien Nicienza who wrote according to IMDb.com's website the characters but I'm not so sure so don't quote me on this if I'm wrong...but also according to IMDb.com's website there doesn't seem to be a release date yet for when this film will be released in the UK, there just seems to be release dates for the USA and Russia.

In case your wondering the release date for this in the USA is 2nd March 2018.
