Suicide Squad 2 gets a new writer!

I was just perusing the internet this morning and I saw this on The Hollywood Reporter's website and just had to put it up here.

You may or may or may not already know but David Ayer who wrote and directed the first "Suicide Squad" has now left the director's chair and is instead doing another film project with Margot Robbie,- who played Harley Quinn in the first movie-, called "Gotham City Sirens" which will focus on the female villains of the DC comic book universe.

And you may or may not also know that Warner Bros. were even seeing if Mel Gibson would direct this sequel which according to The Hollywwood Reporter's website is a priority for the studio...but this as I thought hasn't come to anything and apparently the studio is still trying to get a director for this thing...but also according to The Hollywood Reporter's website Warner Bros. are in negotiations to land Adam Cozard who wrote "The Legend Of Tarzan" which also starred Margot Robbie to write this sequel.

But if you ask me I don't see why Warner Bros. don't just get David Ayer to do this sequel...it would in my opinion make a whole load more sense to continue with him as he did the first movie and for Warner Bros. he would probably make the sequel along the same vein as the first film, even if he asked for more money to direct the sequel but after the film grossed $745 million worldwide for a film that wasn't expected to do anything as it was slated by a lot of people, critics included why the hell wouldn't you raise his pay?...if their was a new director in the chair who knows what this film would be like they'd probably want to change it, do it more stylist or put way more action in it and they'd probably want a lot more money than the studio might be willing to pay which could mean that this could be dragged out with the studio trying to negotiate down how much they want to pay the new director which would mean that the film would get put back and everyday this doesn't get made the more money the studio looses... and therefore the new way the new director wants to make this film could loose a lot more opinions on this film and that could mean Warner Bros. loose out on making the big bucks for themselves if there were a lot less people wanting to go the cinema to see this sequel...but then again now I think about this if Warner Bros. which the studio must have already have contracted him to get Jared Leto back as The Joker or even got back Margot Robbie as both of those actors and actress were really good in this film then this could be the only reason that people go to see this sequel if there were to be a new director sitting in David Ayer's seat.

Apart from this though their isn't much else in the way of other details on this sequel.
