"Venom" is finally going to get a movie of it's own!

You may or may not have heard that the villain of Spider-Man that you may or may not have seen in Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man 3" film that takes over Peter Parker's suit and turns it black and then takes over Topher Grace when he follows Peter Parker to a building and when him and Harry Osbourne managed to trap it using steel's from a building site as it hates noise but then gives Topher Grace fang like sharp teeth...has for a long time now had the people in Hollywood trying to develop this into a film of it's own and now it seems that Columbia Pictures has now set a release date of October 5th 2018.

Thank god! That's all I'll say as this has been going on for an aaaaaaaage now.

Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner have according to The Hollywood Reporter's website recently turned in a draft for this film as Dante Harper has turned in a previous draft although according to The Hollywood Reporter's website there is no director for this yet.

Well with this date Columbia Pictures better find a director soon with there now being a release date announced for this movie...and it better be a good one as also according to The Hollywood Reporter's website this was suppose to be the release date for  Sony's "The Girl In The Spider's Web" movie adaption to the follow up of "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" series of films and books which will be directed by Fede Alverez and has now been bumped up to October 19th 2018.

And also now Warner Bros. according to The Hollywood Reporter's website has also changed the release date of its "Aquaman" comic book movie from October 5th 2018 to December 18th 2018.

Amy Pascal will produce this comic book movie for Columbia Pictures along with Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach who will also according to The Hollywood Reporter's website also be overseeing this project.

Also according to The Hollywood Reporter's website Columbia Pictures hopes to make "Venom" a franchise.
