Review: TED

This may be a little premature to write this review but I just couldn't resist after I had seen this with my sisters.

What can I say about TED...TED is fucking hilarious! And I have to say that the audience is absolutely polar opposite to each time I saw 'The Dark Knight' as each time I saw this film the audience was soooo quiet you could hear a pin drop, and this happened each and every time I saw this film.

Anyhew...the audience including me and my sisters were in fits of tears with how hard they were laughing at every moment of this film.

If you think that the trailers that are all over the TV are the only funny bits in the film you are dead wrong, I really think that whoever cleaned those clips up to make into some sort of trailer for this movie is a miracle worker because these aren't even the whole clips or even the proper ones for that portion of the movie it's from.

From the get go of the film you are in fits of laughter with TED walking in to Mark Wahlberg's parents kitchen after he first comes to life with Mark Wahlberg's mum saying to TED 'Your like the baby jesus' to the voiceover guy saying that 'over time as with everything nobody really gives a shit about a talking bear' and then this cuts to a montage of TED through the years being taken away in handcuffs by two policemen at airport security then having his mugshot taken...to now where he sits on the sofa all day with Marky Mark with a bong smoking drugs...right up until the moment where Mark is late for work and TED drives him to work with huge wooden blocks on the foot pedals of the car but then he smashes into a parked car that is waiting to get rented...."My bad I was sending a Tweet".

The most hilarious part though of this movie is when because both TED and Marky Mark have grown up obsessing over Flash Gordan (which I also grew up with) and TED throws a house party after he gets thrown out of Mark Wahlberg and his girfriend Lori's (Mila Kunis) apartment after he invites over four prostitutes and one of them 'Sauvignon Blanc' has a poo on the floor and TED says after they come home 'Sauvignon Blanc, she's balsy' in his new apartment and Flash turns up and instead of Mark Wahlberg being at a works do with his girlfriend he slips out to see Flash and when Lori finds out he gets dumped and stays at a hotel and says some harsh things to TED, but TED then follows him and is soaked through but because it's such a shit motel he still opens the windows to the outside gardens and then he has a huge fight with Marky Mark involving some hard hitting, some pulling down of pants and spanking of Mark Wahlberg's ass with one of the TV aerial then the TV falls on his stomach.

But both of them ending up saying to each other "I love you man".

But there is also a hilarious point when TED gets a job and wears a little suit to the interview and tells the manager of the big Cosco like store he gets a job at that he slept with the managers wife and then the manager says 'No one's ever spoken to me like that before, your hired'...but when he gets caught having sex with his girlfriend in the back of the store while it's a busy time at the store he tells the manager that the other day he sold a carrot he used while having sex with Tammylee his girlfriendand then he sold it to a family...the managers reply is that that is balsy and that we need someone with balls you're promoted.

But with this there is also a sad part in the movie when TED gets kidnapped by a weirdo dad and his even creepier overweight son and they get cornered at an American football team's ground and while TED is climbing to get away from the weirdo dad he pulls on TED so much so that TED rips in two and dies, but Lori has the idea to take him back home and sow him up but it doesn't work and Lori wishes on a shooting star for him to come back to life and as you would expect that Lori and Mark Wahlberg get married and Flash Gordan is the minister that does the service.

This for me is a 5* comedy film and if you haven't seen it yet I strongly urge you to go and see this or if you are waiting for this to come on DVD make sure you preorder this as you do not want to miss this film as I'm betting that it will be sold out pretty quickly!

I have also just found on Amazon UK that you can get your hands on an actual TED and I am not kidding you, it is true:

New Music!

I will be away for a bit so there won't be very much news on here for a bit but do not fear I will leave you with some fantastic new music that I have heard lately.

One of my favorite films recently is 'Drive', I just love how it's all got a 80's style to it and it also feels very much like a film noir but most of all I love the music and I have to say that there has been one song from this movie that I just loved when I first heard it in this movie and I always meant to after my first viewing of this film to Youtube it so as to find out who the band is that sings it, but I always forget and then it always used to annoy me that it got played in the Sky adverts and then someone would ask me "who is the band that sings that?" and I'd always have to say "I don't know".

This is my favourite song from the movie but while I was listening to this yesterday I came across this other song used in the movie and I have to say that although it's not my favourite it does get stuck in my head...but in a good way, right up until it was going round and round in my head and I couldn't go to sleep as it made me want to listen to this song and then wake up and watch the movie.

Also, I just had to put on how every time I see the L'Oreal Elvive advert with Claudia Schiffer in I always think that the song being played in the background is Claire Mcguire but I heard the full version of this song in an episode of Home and Away the other day and I have to say I was wrong and thanks to Youtube I found out that it was "The Temper Trap-Lost Love".

This video reminds me of the hellish cross country running I used to do at school and this really reaffirms for me how much I hated P.E!

Anyhew....I really think this has to be on my summer chilled list along with Jack Johnson, Ben Howard and most importantly The Virgins for making me so chilled out and relaxed that it transports me mentally to the beach...if you haven't already got it yet you definitely need to buy yourself a copy of  The Virgins first album 'The Virgins' as I got this for Christmas last year and I popped this on the CD player and instantly was transported from glum Britain to feeling like I was lying by the pool in somewhere very hot and to far far away land!

Also I just had to put these other songs that I'm loving at the moment:

Boy Like Girls 'Be Your Everything' I really like this video, I love this band and have been a fan of these guys since I first heard 'The Great Escape' ages ago,-I have to say that this song does occasionally come into my head and because it's been a while since I've played this on Youtube I always find myself thinking who sings this, but thanks to Youtube (I have no idea what I'd do without Youtube) I refound out that the band who sings this is 'Boy Like Girls'-.

Greenday "Oh Love", I absolutly love this band and love 'Basketcase', but recently it did really annoy me as the other day I was watching the build up at Reading Festival to Kasabian coming on the main stage and instead of showing these guys they showed 'Florence and the Machine', I have to be honest I loved the songs on her last album 'Lungs' but I really do think that she can now on some of her songs overdo the one high note she can hit, and that night she really went over the top and made me question whether she actually has some lungs on her (pardon the pun) or could you stick her album on in a spa while your trying to get relaxed for a facial treatment, i.e is her music just whale music?

Anyhew...in the break of her slapping the floor of the stage over and over again they played a snippet of Green Day performing Basketcase and these I have to say looked incredible in that snippet and had all of the crowd really hyped up with some of the crowd even doing their own mosh pits, and I was thinking that Green Day's set looked much more exciting than Florence's set so I was left wondering why on earth did they just leave this on rather than cutting back to Florence's set.

Also I have to put on here Ben Montague's new son Another Hard Fall I absolutly love this guys voice and am a massive fan of him since I heard 'Haunted' and saw him at the glee club in Oxford ages ago with my sisters...although there weren't very many people there it was a fantastic gig that made me feel very sorry for him as he is very talented and I thought back then that more people should really take some time and listen to his music as it's fantastic and this song is no exception to "Haunted" and "Love Like Stars".

If you've not heard anything from this guy yet why on earth not and if not just have a listen to any of his other songs or why not book yourself to one of his gigs and see him live as he is just fantastic live, or better yet as this was released on Sunday on Itunes why not go along to Itunes right now and buy yourself this.

Also I cannot post this without mentioning "The Dead Famous" and their new single and video for "Hide Your Halo":

I really like this video and I really like the song and like every other time I Youtube this band I just have to stop what I am doing and listen to all their dongs as they are all soooo addictive to listen to...but I have to say that they are amazing live so much so that I am going to see them again on October 1st, I suggest that if you haven't already heard any of their songs you need to drop everything that you are doing right now and switch over to Youtube and listen to all of their other songs and I guarantee that you will become an instant fan and then if you've listened to all of their tracks go and download their song 'Superstar', if this isn't giving you much of a reason to download this track you might warm to more to the idea that this download is free!

You now have no reason to not download this track!

I have to say that the black and white parts of this video makes me think of Sin City and I love the sparks flying off the flames that are in front of the lead singer, but I have to say if I knew I was shooting a music video and was told that you have to stand behind some sparks that will be flying off from a fire I don't think I could stand there and look as cool as James (lead singer) does...I think I would have to take a couple of steps back to feel that there was a comfortable distance between me and the sparks as I wouldn't want any of these sparks flying onto any of clothing that I was wearing as I think I would have a fear of these setting on fire.

Stretch Armstrong getting his own stretchtastic movie!

Back in July on The Hollywood Reporter's  Heat Vision blog it reported that Stretch Armstrong was getting its very own movie and that Breck Eisner was in negotiations to direct this but now we can it's been made official that he will direct this without Taylor Lautner who was originally on the cards to be in this film.

Stretch Armstrong as you know is a toy that is owned by Hasbro and as part of an agreement between Hasbro and Universal made all the way back in 2008, but back in January this stretched (pardon the pun) right off Universal's lot and into the hands of Relativity Media's regardless of Taylor Lautner's rumoured involvment with this film and several release dates for this film being released and then nothing coming of it.

According to The Hollywood Reporter Heat Vision blog Relativity Media have been working on the film, working off a script that has been written by Dean Georgaris who has written scripts in the past for 'Lara Croft Tomb Raider:The Cradle Of Life' as well as 'The Manchurian Candidate',-I have to say that going on these two films being on his CV as past films that he has written scripts for then this isn't bad, as I've seen both and although the first Lara Croft was for me the better of the two but this second one I still do watch it every time that it comes on the TV, 'The Manchurian Candidate' is a fantastic film with Denzel Washington in and a must see if you haven't seen it already and I do have to say that this film is probably a lot better than Lara Croft but to be honest they are very different styles of films as Lara Croft is more a family fun film and the Manchurian Candidate isn't really a family friendly film as it's certificate is 15 and there's one bit in the film where the main character played by Liev Schrieber sleeps with his mother played by Meryl Streep-, so this film may be not one that you sit down with the kids to watch.

Ryan Kavanaugh from Relativity Media, Brian Goldner and Bennett Schier from Hasbro are going to be producing with Tucker Tooley from Relativity going to be executive producing.

Hasbro CEO and President Brian Goldner has commented that Stretch Armstrong could "potentially to move "Stretch" out of '12 and into '13".

This then would seem to back up how IMDb.com report that Stretch Armstrong will get released over in America on 11th April 2014, but apart from this there isn't any other info...so for now we'll just have to see what happens

Brangelina brood following in mummies footsteps!

According to Metro 1 of the many many many many children of Brad and Angelina Jolie will be taking their acting debut by acting alongside Angelina on the set of her new film Maleficent...the film adaption of the Disney classic Sleeping Beauty.

According to Metro Angelina's four year old daughter Vivienne will play Princess Aurora and Ellie Fanning will play an older version of her.

According to The Sun Newspaper,-which knowing what this newspaper is like you may or may not want to believe their "source" at this newspaper, and asthis newspaper is part of the Murdoch News Corporation Empire and how the ethics of some journalists at this newspaper has been called into question of late you may be like me and want to hold any of their "sources" to the stories they print with a hint of salt-:

"Angelina thought it would be a fun experience for Vivienne to share, and Vivienne is a natural".

She will be starring alongside Imelda Staunton who you might recognize from Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix as Dolores Umbridge who is appointed by Cornelius Fudge the Minister for Magic who like everybody else doesn't believe Harry when he says that Lord Voldermort has come back and that he killed Cedric Diggery , Sam Riley who you might also recognise from Brighton Rock where he played pinky who is a gangster, Miranda Richardson another Harry Potter export as you might recognise her from Harry Potter and the Goblet Of Fire as the annoying Daily Prophet journalist who makes up things during the Triwizard Tournament to make it more interesting like in the film of this she makes up that Harry is dating Hermione Granger just because she's seen her wishing Harry good luck.

Juno Temple who was recently in the new Batman film as Anne Hathaway's partner in crime will also be in this as one of the fairies that look after Aurorer.

This doesn't have a date up yet of when it will be released in the UK but IMDb.com says that it will be released over in America on the 14th March 2014.

I've hit the motherload...Matrix 4 and 5 to be done in 3D!

Holy Crap Batman! This is for me the motherload of news that I have seemed to hit on on Metro's website...I can't believe this is being done as I am a big fan of this and I especially loved Matrix 1...I can even remember how one of my friends at school told me after he saw this first film that he just had to attend a fancy dress party as Morphios!

The second one for me was alright but it wasn't anything on the first film.

Anyhew according to Metro Keanu Reeves had spoken to Andy and Larry Wachowski about the possibility of shhoting two more films in 3D.

Metro reports that Reeves met the brothers around Christmas time when they told him that they'd been working on completed scripts for two more follow ups to the Matrix franchise.

The Wachowski brothers are also reportedly planning on meeting one of the most infamous directors around these days James Cameron to ask him about the possibility of shooting these films in 3D.

Keanu Reeves has reportedly said on this that these films will revolutionise the action genre just like the first Matrix movie did.

I don't know how this might be done and how exactly he'll come back into the fold as Neo as forgive me if I'm wrong but at the end of the last one when Trudi died he also died....but now that I remember it there was a voice over saying that he went away and no one saw him again but he would return...but hopefully not in the comic way that Kim Jong Il says he will return my other favorite film 'Team America:World Police' when he is really a cockroach and goes to a toy spaceship and yells 'I will weturn!'.

Hold the bus!...Bill and Ted 3 is in the works! Awesome Dude

I have just stumbled upon this titbit of amazing news.... according to Metro news website Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter are on board to reprise their roles of Bill and Ted in Bill and Ted 3.

There has been talk for what seems like ages now that Alex Winter (Bill) wanted to do another Bill and Ted movie with Keanu Reeves but now according to Metro Newspaper this awesome bit of news is getting closer to becoming a reality.

It seems that now both Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves are on board for this project with Ed Soloman and Chris Matheson who originally created the film and introduced it and Keanu Reeves to the world.

Dean Parisot who was behind 'Galaxy Quest'....in case your wondering like I was thanks to IMBb.com it has confirmed that this was the film where there were aliens who really did believe that a  sci-fi TV show with the same name which fought off aliens to save the world was real so they get them to save their world from an alien dictator.

He is repordedly attached to this project to direct it.

But before you get all excited about this becoming a reality shooting for this looks unlikely to kick off before next year as at the moment Dean Parisot is going to be making a sequel to RED, and this also might get delayed some what as Metro report that although MGM still own the rights to this film it's thought that a deal could be struck up with another studio so as to co-finance this.

So we'll have to wait and see what this film plot will be as at the moment there hasn't been a whiff of plot details, but even though this is the case I still am excited to see this film as I loved the first two and thought they were totally awesome dude!

Justin Bieber to be on The Simpsons

According to Entertainment Weekly's Insider TV Justin Bieber will have a cameo role on the show as himself in an upcoming episode of the show.

According to Justin Bieber's Twitter Feed he wrote this afternoon:

"just did a voice over for the SIMPSONS!!! #swaggy"

But this has since been removed...so this could spell another Rachel Weisz and James Bond situation where if your not familiar with this situation I'll fill you in, apparently back when they were casting for the new Skyfall film Rachel Weisz was reportedly cast to play the head of Quantum but then a friend of hers tweeted that she was so excited for Weisz to be playing this role in the new James Bond and then from this Rachel Weisz was no longer in this movie.

Meaning that it has been removed because Bieber has thought 'Oh shit! I wasn't suppose to tell anyone about this!".

The episode he will be in will be called 'The Fabulous Faker Boy' which has the storyline of Bieber tries to get into a talent show that Bart is in playing piano but they won't let him in.

This episode will be aired on FOX TV on September 30th 2013 as part of the 24th season.

Al Jean the executive producer of the show has commented on this cameo role saying that despite it only being a cameo:

"...all of his fans should watch every minuite of the show , before and after he's on..."

This though won't be the only high-profile A-lister that will get the yellow treatment this time around, according to Entertainment Weekly Edward Norton, Steve Carrel, Zooey Deschanel, Anne Hathaway and Natalie Portman will get the yellow treatment for this 24th season of the show.
