I just read this on Empire Magazine's website and this piqued my interest as I have seen both "The Talented Mr. Ripley" directed by Anthony Minghella film which starred Matt Damon and one of the follow up films to this "Ripley's Game" which starred John Malkovich as the title role of Tom Ripley but now older and living in what looks like to me the same rundown house that was owned by Philip Kingsley in the first film and now redoing it with his classical pianist girlfriend in Italy and her having some knowledge of what he did in the first film.
Anyway...according to The Hollywood Reporter Television 360, Edamol Shine Studios and the original author of this series of books written by Patricia Highsmith Zurich based publisher and agency Diogenes are going to be teaming up to bring these five books to the TV screen.
According to The Hollywood Reporter the vision that these three have for this new TV series is to expand on both Rene Clement's 1960's feature "Purple Noon" as well as Anthony Mighella's adaption of this character,-which if you haven't read any of these books which include "The Talented Mr. Ripley", "Ripley Underground", "Ripley's Game", "The Boy Who Followed Ripley" and "Ripley Under Water", or seen the film which starred Matt Damon as Tom Ripley and Jude Law as Dickie Greenleaf and Gwyneth Paltrow as Dickie's fiancé Marge and saw both Dickie and Marge living in Mongavelo in Italy where he being from a wealthy family was spending his trust fund at a rate of knots with going traveling around Italy, drinking, playing saxophone, listening and going to Jazz clubs and festivals and going every year skiing in Cortina with other trust fund school friends and his father had hired Tom to go to Italy to get Dickie to come back to America using his mother's illness as a means for Dickie to take over the family shipping company, but this then sees Tom Ripley formulating an idea to befriend Dickie Greenleaf and Marge and then steal the inheritance and kill Dickie but along the way the body count starts to pile up because suspicions start to arise and then things get complicated, this film and book "Purple Noon" according to The Hollywood Reporter was based on the first book in this series of books.
Guymon Casady from 360 Television and Ben Forkner will executive produce this TV series, Philip Keel of Diogenes will also be executive producing this and the executive vp for Edamol Shine Studios Jeremy Gold will oversee the project for the studios.
All concerned are hoping to put the property together with a writer or major filmmaker as well as an actor before shopping this to the premium cable networks or streaming services.
I wanted this blog's words to look like they had a similiar look to Rolling Stone Magazine as that Magazine is to me a god like magazine. I also wanted this blog to be like me with fresh, new and exciting news about all things music and film based.

Gladstone may or may not get a third outing in Sherlock Holmes 3!
If your reading this headline you may or may not get this reference and you might be thinking to yourself "What The Hell! Has Sophie gone mad!?", and I would have to tell you that no I haven't gone off my rocker and that this is a reference to Guy Richie's "Sherlock Holmes" movies as I have seen both these films which starred Jude "Dave" Law and Robert Downey Jnr. as Dr. Watson and Sherlock Holmes as I am a huge fan of all the Arthur Conan Doyle Sherlock Holmes stories with my favourite story being "The Hound Of The Baskervilles" and I have evidently my dear reader seen all adaptions of this...sorry about the pun I just couldn't help myself.
Anyhew...all actors that were in both Guy Richie's films including these two were really good but for me the star performance came from the cute bulldog named Gladstone in the first film that Sherlock had experimented on via using a new technique that made him appear dead, but in a matter of minutes he was able to jump up off the floor and walk around as if nothing had happened at all.
And in the second film I was sad to see that there wasn't more seen of this dog until the end where Dr. Watson had moved out of 221 Baker Street with his wife Mary, and was sat on the sofa in Watson's study next to Sherlock Holmes who was wearing a costume that would make him blend in with all the patterns of the sofa, chairs and wallpaper and therefore he could sneak a peak at Dr. Watson's writing of the events that happened at Reihenbach Falls in Switzerland with Professor Moriarty, at the ball where all the colleagues that work with Sherlock Holme's brother Mycroft were going to be and Moriarty had forced someone to plant a bomb there to take these people out, this someone was the brother of a gypsy which was played by Noomi Rapace and was only recognisable by a scar on his cheek, hence why she had to attend the ball with Dr. Watson and Sherlock Holmes.
Anyhew... Digital Spy when interviewing Jude Law on how the production for "Sherlock Holmes 3" was going they got this reply:
"...I don't know..." He goes on to say that:
"...There is apparently still a will (to do it), there is a script being written, but I'm not sure..."
And back in 2013 it was confirmed by according to Digital Spy's website producer Dan Lee that the screenwriter for "Iron Man 3" Dan Pearce was working on a script for this, and he also said according to Digital Spy's website that "...this was a high priority for the studio..."
So will this get made or will it not get made that is the question, and will Gladstone be back to have more experimentes done on him? Will audiences see more of Irene Adler who if you're like me and saw the first film will know that she works for Moriarty or will we not see more of her?
Who can say, we will just have to wait with baited breath for more info on this.

It official I'm a sucker for Olly Mur's new video "Beautiful To Me"
I have just seen this on Digital Spy's website and just like the post says this promo video for Olly Murrs' "Beautiful To Me" has sucked me in and I find myself gasping in surprise and smiling and feeling like "Aw! that's a nice end to the story" at the end of watching this music video.
I have to say that this video is better than the video he did for his last single "Seasons" as I got the feeling when I first saw that music video that he was trying to muscle in on Ed Sheeran's territory of doing a strictly come dancing style of dance as a way of getting a higher chart position, probably more sales of that single or of his new album "Never Been Better" or even grabbing hold of a bigger fan base as more fans might equal more buying the single, more downloads and probably more tour tickets sold including merchandise sales.
This music video obviously sees two friends realise that they are both in love with one another and I think it's fair to say that it's a better late than never situation when she is sat just about to put on her wedding dress with her hair all done up and I guess her makeup all done and then she realises that something may not be right, and he just simply rips the wedding invitation up after having a montage of flashbacks about her.
This according to DigitalSpy.com will be released as a digital download on June 15th.
And Olly Murrs fans will next see him as the new presenter "X Factor" along with Caroline Flack replacing Dermot O'Leary which will keep him busy for the rest of this year.

Chris Pine in talks to play Wonder Women love interest!
I saw this headline on DigitalSpy's website and I have to say that this pique my interest...
as I had been reading on lots of film blogs and websites that Scott Eastwood had got the role of Steve Trevor the love interest to Wonder Women and that he would be seen in Suicide Squad but today according to Variety Magazine's website this has been given instead to Chris Pine.
According to Variety's website who have been told by insiders that Scott Eastwood was given the choice to test for the Trevor role or sign on for a guaranteed supporting part in "Suicide Squad" which he opted to take...so this would mean he's in "Suicide Squad" but just not in the role that everybody thought he would be playing so what on earth is he going to be in this film I wonder, because by now David Ayer has filled all the roles main characters and supporting cast included?
Anyhew...also according to Variety Magazine's website Warner Bros. tested a handful of other actors but later decided to look at more high-profile actors and go with a straight offer. According to Variety Magazine Chris Pine won over production executives and Wonder Women herself Gal Gadot at the meeting, leading the studio to pursue him to take the role.
Variety Magazine say that this first step into the DC Universe for Chris Pine could lead to more opportunities in the DC Justice League Universe.

NEW MUSIC ALERT: Hurts New single: Some kind of Heaven
I was just on Twitter and saw this tweet from @theohurts saying:
"Very pleased to present our new sing 'Some Kind Of Heaven'. The beginning of a bold odyssey. Enjoy..."
And here it is for you all to have a listen to:
Well I have to say that as I am an avid fan of all things Hurts I just saw this and had to have a little listen as it got me very excited to see that there was some new music from Hurts as it just seems to me that it has been ages since the band released any material, as I write this I do realise that they have been touring all over the world and have maybe been a bit busy with doing that so I am slightly surprised that they have found some time to release this new single lol!
Anyhew...I have been a fan of this band from first listening to "Wonderful Life" and I absolutely loved their first album and had this and their second album on constant repeat but I have to say that I think this song does sound different to the bands other music and I think this is a probable grower and with Theo saying this is "... a beginning of a bold odyssey..." this definitely has me interested to find out what other kinds of sounds are going to be heard from this new album.
And as I was listening I have to say that I did do what I usually do on the internet when I hear new music from bands that I am a fan of and checked the internet to see if I could find any information on this new album like I sometime go on Amazon and find that I can preorder this album or single or digital download before any details have been made official, but this time sadly I couldn't find any information on this so for now I guess I'll just have to keep checking back on Twitter like every other Hurts fan and wait for more updates from theo himself.

Shadowhunters news and then some Part 2
I thought I'd put this on as I couldn't believe I saw all these things for the Cassandra Clare 'Mortal Instruments franchise, and I think this might have tried to have been another Harry Potter franchise but you never know that these still could be good for any potential young audiences that will watch this new ABC series which I think will work better as a TV series as there are 6 books in this series of books.
According to Amazon there are:
Laurelle City of Bones The Official Angelic Power Purfume- £5.99 this is suppose to have a floral cascade of white flowers intermingled with rose. It's said to '...leave a sensual blend of sandalwood and musk infused with a light seductive vanilla base...".
Laurelle City Of Bones The Official Strength Perfume £12.00- this is suppose to have top notes of apple blossom, dewberry and raspberry, it is also said to "...as it settles a long lasting, musky peach fragrance prevails with a surprising touch of vanilla..."
And Jace's Stele with UV light and Pen £13.47 this is among many other things such as temporary tattoos etc etc.

Resident Evil 6: The Final Chapter
I came upon this on Empire's Magazine website as when I was writing the last post on here it got me thinking about what was happening on the production of this film as I saw the other day in a magazine that there was news on this movie but it was only saying about how production of this had been pushed back as Mila Jovovich was expecting her second child with director husband Paul W.S Anderson.
Anyway...according to IMDb.com this film will follow on from the events in 'Resident Evil: Retribution', but this time Project Alice is forced to race against time to fight the Red Queen who is attempting to destroy the final remnants of humanity.
Empire Magazine reported on 22nd January via a very good spot from ComingSoon.net that Jovovich took to Facebook to update many a fanboy that was waiting with baited breath:
" I'm really proud of myself for not gaining the same amount of weight that I did with our first child (75lbs) because I have to be ready to start filming Resident Evil :The Final Chapter in August of this year (2015)..." , "... and I will also be nursing an infant simultaneously (get ready wardrobe department for Alice's new 'easy mama access' costume so I don't want to be on any extreme diets to get ready to go back to 'action hero' model! ".
Wentworth Miller who played Chris Redfield in "Resident Evil: Afterlife" the military brother of one of the survivors of the Racoon City disaster caused by The Umbrella Corporation that was trying to find the 'safe haven' known as Arcadia that turned out to be a lie created by The Umbrella Corporation to do experiments on the people that survived, is confirmed already as returning to come back for this film which is said to be released over the pond in the USA on September 2nd 2016, but apart from this I can't find any other information.
