I wanted to post these new must listen to music artists up here sooner but I've been so busy posting other things on here that these have just been on the back burner and haven't been posted until now.
Mike Cavanaugh is a singer songwriter from Boston, Massachusetts that you just have to listen to...so I suggest that you stop what you are doing right now and go and put your feet up, have a sit in the sunshine if it's sunny where you are and put this on or if your just stuck inside working stick this on your computer and feel utterly chilled out.
Go to his Facebook page right now if you want just a little taster of his amazingly folky/Ray LaMontagne sounding songs and if your like me and just love these songs but want to hear more or want to hear what his other songs sound like go now and download his albums from bandcamp or iTunes or I have just seen whilst writing this post that his 2012 album is available to download from Amazon, you can find this in the Digital Music category on the website.
Every song that I listen to from Mike Cavanaugh like Stevie B Wolf makes me smile. And like Stevie B Wolf I just had to download these albums the second I heard just a few of his songs because I was instantly excited to hear what the other tracks off his albums sounded like.
For me I love "Hold On" I love this song, but I get the feeling with the piano and the way the song is sung like it is taking you on a rollercoaster but a good rollercoaster because it feels like it is going to stop which I hate because I never want this song to end.
All of these songs and the instruments used in these songs I think really transport you especially "Someone" from "Hold On" album really transports you from the dull doldrums of any office or just England in general to the beach.
I also have to say that this might just be me but on some albums that I buy or download I listen to a couple of songs on the album to see what these sound like and then I fast forward to a song that I've heard already via the radio, but on all of these albums I really hate to do that as all these songs sound so lovely to listen to and really relaxing.
I wanted this blog's words to look like they had a similiar look to Rolling Stone Magazine as that Magazine is to me a god like magazine. I also wanted this blog to be like me with fresh, new and exciting news about all things music and film based.

Jared Leto's Joker transformation is complete!
You may or may not have seen all over Jared Leto's various social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat etc that there has been numerous teases of what this Joker will look like in David Ayer's "Suicide Squad", and as well as this Jared Leto has of course for the fans posted his various stages of transformation for this role:
Stage one of the transformation: Jared Leto posted pictures on his Facebook page of his lovely long hair being cut, and then images were going around the internet of Jared Leto with platinum blonde hair.
Stage two: then there was an Instagram picture with added filter making it look like this was not just platinum blonde hair but it was in fact going green.
Stage 3: then there was a blurry Snapchat picture of Mr. Leto in what looked like a white suite with red lippy on.
Stage 4: Then there were pictures surfacing on the internet of Jared Leto out and about sporting bright green hair and what appeared to be bleached skin with many websites asking how did he get his hair that brightly coloured, which would fit with how early in the run up to this film beginning filming the director David Ayer had said he wanted "...this Joker to have bleached skin with scars all over his body" so that it would be completely different to the many other portrayals of this infamous Batman villain.
And now we can all finally see what this new Joker will look like:
This I have to say does definitely make The Joker look very different to how audiences have seen this character before, the word extreme does spring to mind now that I think about it, but this might just be me but The Joker is always extreme so this really isn't anything new in that respect but now that I've seen this the tattoos might be a new thing but at least The Joker still wears gloves!
According to IGN this though is very reminiscent of "The Killing Joke" Joker:
According to IGN filming for this has already begun in Toronto, Canada and will be released in the UK according to IMDb.com on the 5th August 2016, with two new additions to the cast including Scott Eastwood who's role is at the moment unknown but there is speculation that he may play the potential love interest of Wonder Women, Common who Empire Magazine Online is speculating will play the role of Bronze Tiger, Jay Hernandez who is speculated to be playing the role of El Diablo, Karen Fukuhara who's role is unknown at the moment and Ike Barinholtz who's role is not yet known.
It's also suspected that according to Empire Magazine online that there will be cameo performances from Jesse Eisenberg who plays the role of Lex Luthor and Ben Affleck who will play the new Batman/Bruce Wayne.
According to The Wrap on March 31st 2015 it was reported that Alum Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje is going to be playing the role of Killer Croc in "Suicide Squad", according to Empire Magazine online Killer Croc has strength as well as agility despite being reptilian and his real name is Waylon Jones.
Paul Walker Fast and Furious cars go up for sale!
I saw this the other day on Top Gear's website and couldn't believe this news that two of the many many cars that are either bought in like the cars that were used in 'Fast and Furious 7' in the scene where all of Dominic Toretto's team drive into Abu Dhabi and park up by the beach while waiting for this 'friend' of Ramsey's to appear are all privately owned except for Toretto's, or the cars are brought in and then customised.
The modified orange Toyota Supra that was used in 'Fast and Furious' that Paul Walker's character Brian O'Connor makes at Dominic's garage after he brings in a haul of scrap metal and says to Dominic Toretto that this scrap is going to be Torreto's new car.
Anyhew...I digress this isn't according to Top Gear's website the only modified Toyota Supra in existence, but this is just one of several Toyota Supra stunt cars used in the movie. And this one (see below), was used specifically for the end of the movie where Brian O'Connor and Dominic Torretto have a street race after Toretto finds out that Brian O'Connor was an undercover policeman sent to arrest him and his crew as he had been stealing from truckers who were delivering high end quality things to dealers and the police needed to stop them as the truckers were arming themselves, and in doing this street race they jumped a set of railroad tracks and just about pulled it off as they both jumped at the last moment when the train was coming.

Thanks to Mecum Auctions who will be auctioning this car off between the 12-17th May with an expected sale price of up to £130,000 or $200,000, this car comes with a full roll cage, heavy duty suspension, a set of competition seats and a strengthened fuel tank.
The lucky owner of this car will also get this car complete with artwork down the sides of the car, huge rear wing, alloy wheels, a performance steering wheel, but this one unfortunately isn't that fast or that furious if that's what your thinking Fast Fans... this car only produces 220bhp.
And not only this but the Nissan Skyline 550bhp that Paul Walker drove in 'Fast and Furious 4',- if your like me and are trying to remember which one of the 'Fast and Furious' franchise this is then I'll help you out, this is the one where it's been 6yrs after the events of the first film, O'Conner's back with the FBI, and they are now wanting to find Braga the head of a drug cartel that has been able to so far evade the police and he just happens to find who to transport the drugs from street racers that have been picked by David Park and whoever wins the races the drivers become drivers for Braga, anyway at the same time as this Letty is 'dead', a colleague of O'Connor's at the FBI thinks he'll be able to arrest Toretto at her funeral or his sister that the FBI are watching will lead them to him, but Toretto gets himself involved in this as one of the drivers for Braga he finds out killed Letty so he's looking for revenge, and at the same time as this he ends up helping O'Connor arrest Braga and is prepared to then go to jail for it this then leads O'Conner, Mia and with a little bit of help to spring Toretto from the prison bus that transports him to LongPoke prison-, is now up for sale for an estimated price of £600,000, but with it only covering 6,000km Top Gear online suspect it more than likely it will sell for higher than this at £4million.

As with the above Toyota Supra this Nissan Skyline wasn't the only one that was used for this film, there were nine Skyline stunt cars in total that were used for this film. Paul Walker actually drove this heavily modified R34 Nissan Skyline.
And I'm really sorry but I'm going to have to break off from this story but news has just broke that Universal Studios is currently working on a New York based Fast and Furious 8 and in the words of Vin Diesel:
" We're gonna make the best movie you've ever seen".
This movie is said to be released on April 14th 2017.
Anyhew... back to the main story this car has a twin turbo 2.6 litre straight-six engine with a Turbonetics front mounted intercooler, this sends around 550bhp to all four wheels via a six-speed Gertrag shifter.
According to Top Gear Magazine's website a simple software modification could see this fast car go even faster at over 1000bhp.
This car even includes: Nismo lowering springs, a custom roll cage, an ARC titanium strut tower bar, Volk racing wheels, a Rotora big brake conversion, a Nismo bumper and side skirts, no rear seats (this car is only built for two people so no back seat drivers needed), a Momo Alcantara steering wheel, Nismo brakes, Nismo exhaust, custom seats, a 40 page appraisal from a well known accredited appraisal company documenting the build and movie car history indicating a value range estimate between 750,000 euros and 5,000 euros as well as a custom head up display for a dash mounted PC.

Fast and Furious 7 breaking News!
Well I don't know if it's quite breaking news, but it feels like it should be breaking news...yesterday I got an order update on my pre-ordered copy of Fast and Furious 7 DVD,-in my opinion this is a must have for any fan of the Fast and Furious franchise, but also how can you not have this film in your DVD collection considering how so much crazy shit happens in it,-.
I'd been going crazy for months that I really wanted to own this DVD because this is so amazing and nowhere on the internet or even on Amazon's website or on any UK website did it say when this would be released on DVD in the UK until now...September 7th 2015!
This is definitely a date for the diary that you don't want to miss.
Along with this there has been the news from Vin Diesel himself that there might be a Fast and Furious 8 saying:
!...Paul used to say that "Fast and Furious 8" was guaranteed, and in some ways, when your brother guarantees something, you have to make sure it comes to pass..."
He then went on to say to MTV that:
"...So if fate has it-F8- then you will get it...."
adding:
"...'Furious 7' was for Paul. 8 is from Paul..."
Even Dwayne "Daddy" Johnson, or if you've seen the films you'll probably recognise him as Hobbs who was hunting Vin Diesel's team in Fast and Furious 5 when they were in Brazil, has said according to Realty Today:
"We had a nice discussion (with Vin Diesel) and I think, whatever it is, whatever we come up with for 'Furious 8' , we have to raise the bar in terms of action. Yes but also in terms of story and character."
If your like me and have already seen this movie then you'll understand when I say this, (but if you haven't then I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't but shame on you if you haven't yet, but I'll fill in the blanks if you haven't anyway but just be warned this may contain spoilers so look away now if you don't want to know):
Jason Statham plays Deckard Shaw the big brother of Owen Shaw (the bad guy from the last film), and like his brother he was special forces black ops and an assassin but when this started to become a liability for the USA government they wanted him retired but he retired the team that went after him and then disappeared only to appear after his brother had been put in the hospital and wanting revenge on the team who put him there, so he then breaks into Hobbs' offices to find this information out and puts him in the hospital blows the building up, goes after Han in Tokyo and then kills him, then goes after Toretto and tries to blow up the family home while Mia, Toretto included, Brian and their son Jack are in the house, while in hospital Hobbs tells Toretto to go after Shaw, and with a little help from a black ops team led by Kurt Russell he asks him to help them retrieve a top hacker by the name of Ramsey who has developed a nifty piece of spy software called 'God's Eye' this lets anyone to hack into any software anywhere in the world and that has been kidnapped and if Toretto's team do this then they'll let them use 'God's Eye' to find Shaw. But as you can imagine nothing about this is easy, for example Ramsey's kidnapper's are all ex military, use cavlar armour piercing bullets and use decoy cars as well as a bus and drive on a tiny road to transport the hacker to their unknown destination so the only way they can get her is to reverse out of a plane while in the cars and use parachutes to get them on to the road.
Also, they then find out they have to go to Abu Dhabi to get 'God's Eye' as Ramsey sent it to a friend there and this friend then sold it to a prince who has put in in a car that he has in his penthouse and never let's the car out on the road, but just when you thought it was all over Deckard Shaw has an ambush waiting for the good guys and Brian and Toretto so they have no choice but to go back to Los Angeles and have a good old fashioned carnage ensuing street race to take Shaw down as well as those that were after Ramsey.
Ok for those of you who were looking away you can look now
With all the ridonkulous stunts in this film how on earth can you possibly raise the bar? all the stunts were crazy and I have to admit that when I was watching the film there were a lot of times that I was really holding my breath and that my palms were sweating as they were so unbelievably crazy!
But it is also reported by Realty Online that other sources seem to suggest that should there be an eighth film with Cody Walker in it, Cody wouldn't necessarily play his brother's double (again). Fans might see him as an entirely different character that's somehow related to Brian O'Connor.
Also according to 'a source' that told The MailOnline that:
" Brian O'Connor will be seen retiring, while his younger brother will join the crew as another character. Cody isn't a replacement for Paul in any way . It would be a tribute to Paul if Cody carries on the Walker name in the Fast and Furious films."
Vin Diesel has also teased on Jimmy Kimmel Live that:
" I always think of these films, multiple pictures, in advance. I think of them as trilogies..."
He then went on to say that:
"Kurt Russell came in for (Fast and Furious 7) but we really hired him because of a story that follows this, that takes place in New York."

Review: Hozier album a must own for all music fans!
You may or may not know that Hozier of "Take Me To Church" fame has already released his new album of the same name, and I have to say that when this album was first released that I wasn't entirely sure about getting my hands on a copy as all the stations whether it be Radio 1, Spire FM (local Salisbury radio), Jack FM or music TV 4Music or VIVA have been playing the hell out of it and I was fearing that this song was going the same way of Adele's "Someone Like You" or James Blunt's "Your Beautiful", both of these songs I think it's fair for me to say got to a point where you couldn't even wake up in the morning without hearing the song at least what felt like 14 times so you ended up hating it, so this put me off as I like the guys voice because it sounds so different and I wanted to hear what this album sounded like.
I was also a little bit wary of this album because "Take Me To Church" is a big, epic song that is a bit melancholic at the same time,-I'll plump for this as this sounds a little bit better than dreary-, so I thought what if this album just has this 1 big song and all the rest are melancholic I didn't really fancy sitting down to listening to a full album of this and then feel so depressed afterwards or what if this 1 song was the only good song on the album?...
Thankfully this wasn't the case. And it helped massively having heard the new single "Somebody New", here's the link for the video on vevo:
http://www.vevo.com/watch/hozier/Someone-New/IEVCJ1400143
Also when I got my hands on a CD copy of this album I didn't want to listen to the first track as this was "Take Me To Church" and I already knew how this sounded.
I got this second single "Someone New" instantly stuck in my head and with any tune that gets stuck in my head I have to listen to the song in order to get it out of my head as for the rest of the day I can never concentrate on any task at hand. This sounded to me really old school soulful, and I feel like I need to get this off my chest but I got an email on March 7th from Vevo saying about this video but it's only now that Radio 1 are playing it and saying it's new when it's not that new and it angers me as they're radio show likes to pride itself on finding new music but to me they are obviously behind on this...this would never happen if Zane Lowe was still there!
If your like me and want to instantly listen to this when you get your hands on this album if you haven't got a copy yet it's track number 4. And you may or may not recognise that the actress Natalie Dormer from "Game Of Thrones" who plays Margaery Tyrell or you might also recognise her from a Miss Marple "Why Didn't They Ask Evans", where she played Moira who was married to a doctor that supplied drugs to a women who had in her past married one brother and had children then was posted to China but once she met his brother Jack, she fell in love and then he killed his own brother to marry her and forced her to move back to England and forced her to leave her kids behind, cut to the present and Moira and Michael planned to get into her life under different identities and to kill Jack, kill their mother, a professor who loved orchids as well as they killed a friend of Jack's who was digging into how Jack had died and it was said in a forged will that all of his money was to go to a Chinese orphanage when his friend knew him from back during World War II and he knows that he would never leave all his money to an orphanage all by injecting deadly snake venom into them.
Anyhew, I digress I love tracks number 2 and 3, track 2 is "Angel Of Small Death and The Codeine Scene" this for me sounds really folky,-I'm not sure if this is the right word here- but it really makes you want to stomp your feet and dance along to this song:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bmp4QWzHak
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSWqxbswQAY
I have to say that I think it might just be me but I think "Jackie and Wilson" has a 60's 70's vibe to it, and this also gets stuck in my head just as bad as "Someone New" and I have to say that I love the big, heavy guitar sounds on this track.
"To Be Alone With You", track number 5 this for people who like there music to be energetic, but you definitely should give this song a go as it does sound a bit slow to get going but I love the chorus as love the guitar but it also sounds to me like the song on blues brothers:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hn_PF4L470w
I love the music from this movie and who doesn't love Elwood and Jake Blues.
Anyway, I love track "From Eden", I know that this name and the lyrics are a bit dark such as "Honey, your familiar like my mirror years ago/Idealism sits in prison/Chivalry fell on his sword/Innocence died screaming, honey ask me I should know/I slivered here from Eden just to sit outside your door", and "A picnic planned with a rope in other hand for your other man to hang from a tree..." but I think it's a really lovely song and really romantic as it sounds like the song is all about how he is like the snake from the story of eden and is a bad influence that will make the girl do bad things but the guy really wants her to be with him because the girl reminds him of something good and I really like the guitar at the start of this song:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cI0wUoCLnLk
Also I love about this song the instrumental at the end of the track sounds a bit like for me Spanish Flamenco music. This also stars in the video the actress Katie McGrath from BBC's "Merlin"
I also love "Sedated" you may or may not have heard it in the background on the advert of ITV's drama "Vera":
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_JUReD3QoE
I like the piano in this song. I also really like "Work Song", I like the chorus to this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nH7bjV0Q_44
In conclusion to this I think that you definitely should get yourself a copy of this as now that I think about it this album does have in my opinion a cross section of different sounding songs like folk, blues, soul and rock and now that I think about it it does sound a little bit like a "Civil Wars" album...which if you haven't heard about them by now you definitely should hear their songs.

Anyhew, I digress I love tracks number 2 and 3, track 2 is "Angel Of Small Death and The Codeine Scene" this for me sounds really folky,-I'm not sure if this is the right word here- but it really makes you want to stomp your feet and dance along to this song:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSWqxbswQAY
Steve McQueen "Playboy" Chukka Boots!
I got an email from Anthony Sinclair James Bond's tailors the other day and I think this is well worth having a look at, Sanders&Sanders a family run now in the fourth generation shoemakers first established in 1873 have made the "playboy" chukka boot that was made famous by well in my opinion one of todays style icons, even Barbour have got a line of clothes inspired by him...Steve McQueen.
These in my opinion are really cool and are a must have item of clothing as why wouldn't you want a pair of shoes Steve McQueen used to wear, and I have to say that my ears did prick up like a meerkat when this email came through into my inbox as why wouldn't you want something that one of the coolest most stylish males ever, bar James Dean, Marlon Brando, Michael Kane when he was younger etc. And in my opinion why wouldn't Barbour make a clothes range inspired by "The Cooler King", he is a style icon. I have to say that even when I first heard that Barbour were doing these jackets I rushed to my nearest store that stocked these and I tried one of these jackets on and of course it didn't fit but I didn't care as this was a McQueen jacket even my dad wanted one.
Steve McQueen and some of these mentioned actors above have even inspired some major men's fashion labels to create classic gentlemen looks such as Hugo Boss, Paul Smith, Emporio Armani, Alexander McQueen, Perisol etc.
Anyhew...I digress according to Anthony Sinclair Steve McQueen wore these regularly both on and off the screen, these come in Chocolate Brown, Dirty Suede, Green Suede, Black Suede, Navy Suede and Snuff Suede.
These are fully leather lined and feature a bonded thick crepe sole see this link:

Or if this kind of shoe isn't your kind of style then you definitely should check out the other kinds of high quality shoes this English shoemakers makes as these shoes do now that I think about it make really good ideas for Christmas presents or ideas.
Speaking about Christmas ideas or you could even get a pair of these for yourself they're that quirky, Anthony Sinclair is selling Corgi ribbed socks that was awarded in 1989 a Royal Warrant by HRH The PRINCE OF WALES after supplying him and his family with fine knitwear, Corgi first created in 1892 by Rhys Jones in the valleys of South Wales and is now carried on today by his great great grandchildren who use only the finest yarns to create cotton, wool and cashmere collections.

These socks are really quirky, again I was really disappointed to see that these ribbed socks that come in multiple neon colours are only in mens...goddammit! why are all the guys getting the good stuff! I have been on Corgi's website though and they do do women's socks that are similar look at the Hand Cabled Pure Cashmere socks or the other Hand Cabled Pure Cashmere socks for £95.00.

EA planning a possible sequel for Need For Speed?
I saw this headline on Empire's Facebook page this morning and I have to say that it definitely piqued my interest...
Now I know that I may have not been very complimentary about this film in a previous post on here but I have given this film a go and I have to say for calling it a competition film or whatever I thought at first glance of this film I might have to eat humble pie here as I liked it...mainly because I' a massive petrol head and loved seeing all the different sorts of cars in this film especially the Ford Mustang which I'm a huge fan of these and the Bugatti Veyron at the end of the film as well as the other supercars that you see at the end of the film, because for me all those cars just steal the show it's just such a shame though like in the new "Fast and Furious 7" film to see some of these get ruined or pranged as they're such beautiful cars.
Anyhew, I digress according to Variety "...much of this would be filmed in China, with the nation's actor's also taking significant roles..."
Also according to Variety joint venture partners China Movie Channel Programme Centre, Jiaflix Enterprises and 1905 Pictures Co. along with Electronic Arts (the creators of the original videogame) are hoping to co-produce this sequel...i.e put the money up for this movie sequel.
One snag though in this seemingly brilliant idea is negotiations haven't started on acquiring the rights for "Need For Speed" as these are still owned by DreamWorks, also another snag to this is there is no directors attached and no word yet on whether or not Aaron Paul who played Tobey Marshall who was set up by his rival Dino Brewster played by Dominic Cooper to have make it look like he had stolen three cars for a street race with Dino and his best friend Pete played by Harrison Gilbert and then killed Pete and went to prison for it, Imogen Poots who played Julia who handled the money from the guy who wanted to buy from Dino Brewster the Ford Shelby and also had to ride along with him when he wanted to borrow the Ford Shelby to enter the road race of all road races in order to get Dino Brewster back or Michael Keaton who played Monarch the organiser of this road race from the first film would come back for this one.
1905 Pictures Co. is a Chinese film development company that worked with Paramount on the promotional and marketing of the film "Transformers: Age Of Extinction". But if a deal can be made though on acquiring these rights then production would begin says Variety later this year.

Jamie T new song "Marilyn Monroe"
You may or may not know that on the 6th April Jamie T's new EP "Magnolia Melancholia" was released and the other day I heard through the wonder that is the Jamie T mailing list that Hew Stephens had an exclusive play of the first single from this album "Marilyn Monroe".
If your like me and didn't get around to having a listen of this don't fear here is the youtube link to have a little listen to it now on Youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gH9iFp62JfY
Also if your a massive fan of Jamie T and didn't get around to it at 12:00pm today you definitely have to listen to the Alice Levine in for Fearne Cotton in the Live Lounge today as his cover was amazing!...but if you didn't get to hear it first time around this is all I'll say as I don't want to spoil it for any of you who are going to listen to this.
I have to be honest that when I first heard that this was the title of the first single from this EP my brain for some reason I don't know why but it thought that this song was a cover of Pharrel Williams' song 'Marilyn Monroe', thankfully after giving this a listen this isn't a cover but it does now I think about it make me wonder if you could do an indie cover of a Pharrel Williams song?
Anyhew...I digress this sounds typically Jamie T which before you go thinking that this is me criticising this new song or Jamie T, which I might add is totally wrong if your thinking about this as I would never ever criticise Jamie T as he is amazing and ever since Panic Preventions was released has never done a bad song or a song that I didn't like and like so many other Jamie T fans I couldn't believe when he just up and left the music scene for as long as he did and was absolutely thrilled and excited when he released "Carry On The Grudge"....
Annyhew I think I'm ranting now but you get the point or probably by now you get just how massive a fan I am but I like how typically Jamie T this song sounds and I have to say that when I first heard that Jamie T was releasing an EP I of course pre-ordered it but after doing this I did have a little voice saying had I been too quick to do this, should I have waited for the first single to be released and then download it...but thank god I didn't listen and kept to my old mantra of anything Jamie T related just buy it, download it whatever!
