Lianna la Havaas -Age and Gotye-Someone I use to know!

Thanks to 'Later live...with Jools Holland' I saw this really talented girl last year on his show and fell in lve with her song 'Age' and then last week in Culture Magazine there she was and the magazine was even saying that you really needed to hear her...and I think you should too.

Then last night I was out for a drink in my local with my sisters and this song popped on the sound system which I have to say really suprised me as down here in Dorset where I live there tends to be a very frustratingly long wait for any new or good songs to be heard by anyone, so new songs that reachthat is new and you hear it it's like gold dust.

Anyhew... I absolutly love this song as it sounds really chilled out and makes me want to go sit on the beach and crack open a few of the small bottles of peroni that you can get after catching a few waves...this is my ideal way to spend the day. And I have just found out that you can download her album Forget from Amazon.

The other day I also found Gotya-Someone I used to know as I had been hearing this everywhere for weeks and not knowing who sang this fantastic song but it still got stuck in my head for days and it always annoyed me how I never really knew who sang it but thanks to the medium of Youtube.com I found this and now I can't stop playing the video...because a) I love this song and b) I always get mixed up what the lyrics are because I think they are really good lyrics and ingenius like the lyrics to a Jamie T song...i.e in one of his songs he has the lyric of 'see you later aligator'.

The lyrics though as I found out are:

'Now and then I think when we were together,
Like when you said you felt so happy you could die
Told myself that you were right for me
But felt so lonely in your company
But that was love and it's an ache I still remember

You can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness
Like resignation to the end
Always the end
So when we found that we could not make sense
Well you said that we would still be friends
But I'll admit that I was glad that it was over

But you didn't have to cut me off
Make out like it never happened
And that we were nothing
And I don't even need your love
But you treat me like a stranger
And that feels so rough
You didn't have to stoop so low
Have your friends collect your records
And then change your number
Now your somebody that I used to know

Now and then I think of all the times you screwed me over
But had me believeing it was alays something that I'd done
And I don't wanna live that way
Reading into every word you say
You said that I could let it go
And I wouldn't catch you hung up on somebody that I used to know

But you didn't have to cut me off
Make out like it never happened
And that we were nothing
And I don't even need your love
But you treat me like a stranger
You didn't need to stoop so low
Have your friends collect your records
And then change your number
Now your somebody that I used to know

I used to know...
That I used to know

Somebody'
