I have just perused Entertainment Weekly's website and found this...thanks to POPWATCH blog.
This piece of news was bound to happen at some point with how mad everybody went for these films...these include the mad as hatters Twihards and no doubt at this news they will be going absolutly more hyper than they went when these films were originally out at cinemas all over the world.
According to POPWATCH:
"Twilight:The Musical will make it's off Broadway as a one night only staged reading on January 16th,and the proceeds will benefit the charity Blessings In A Backpack."
Although, I have just read on the official website for this that this musical will be a parody of all the Twilight films so I've just thought that on one hand the Twihards may be very excited to hear that this is actually going to happen but on the other hand they may not be so happy that this will yet again be taking the micky out of all the films...as I'm thinking that the first parody film about these films was the hilarious Vampire's Suck that was done by the people who work on the Scary Movie films was something that must have got them angry...but they must have to accept that this mentioned parody film was absolutly hilarious and well in the orginal first film you can see where there might be some comedy gold and in this film they definitly sniffed this gold out...this is my opinion of course (really don't want to offend these Twihards as they are absolutly mental).
The official website states that this musical will:
"...examine our culture of obsession through the story of teenager outsider Bella Swan who risks everything when she embarks on a star-crossed romance with Vampire Edward Cullen..."
