Another book going to made into film

Chris Columbus under his production company 1492 has bought the rights to possibly start shooting at some point the cinema adaption of Michael Koryta thriller novel 'The Cypress House'.

As I've mentioned their is no telling when this film will be shot but Chris is expected to produce and to direct this as well as adapt this script. This tells the story of Arlen Wagner who is a World War One veteran who lives during The Great Depression. Although he has to fight his own demons with whiskey he is constantly tormented by scary visions that in a Final Destination styled forewarn him of how his friends are going to die. But these visions don't stop their as he has been spending a lot of his time at the Civilian Conservation Corps he qand a friend Paul Brickhill pop on a train to go to the Corps new camp in Florida and thus on this train he recieves a vision and therefore he and his friend get off this train and then end up at Cypress House. And it's here where he finds that the house is the focal point for lcal corruption.

This though isn't the only project that Chris has been possibly lining up to produce after his success as the producer of 'Percy Jackson and the Lighting Rod' as the other project that he's been lining up is a remake of a Korean comedy series 'Hello Ghost'
